Chapter 220: Vivi vs Snow
Kinemon glanced at the woman before scanning the rest of the room.
The place was completely circular in shape and only had one exit, situated right behind the woman.
"Are you sure?, That strange bird woman looks dangerous."
"Hey!, I'm a harpy, not a bird woman and I have a name. Many name is-"
"It's okay Kinemon, leave this to me. You go find your son." She gave him a thumbs up.
"Dont ignore me!, I am the second in command in this facility, the right hand of Caesar, my name is -"
"Thank you so much!" Kinemon felt moved.
"I will never forget how much you and your friends have done for me!."
"You are doing it on purpose!" The bird woman shouted.
Kinemon ran as fast as he could to the door while Tashigi(Vivi) followed him.
"You think I will just let you do whatever you want?!" The harpy frowned.
"Yuki Gaki(Snow Fence)"
A wall made of solid snow started to appear in front of the exit.
"This will not stop me!" Kinemon unleashed his fire sword against the wall.
The bird woman moved her wings in a cutting motion in order to attack the samurai but was punched in the stomach by a blackened fist, sending her back.
"And you think that I will let you do what you want?" Tashigi(Vivi) gave her a serious look.
Kinemon managed to make a hole big enough to pass through and after one last look at Vivi, he continued.
"Is just the two of us now, ladybird. Wait, I think I remember your name…was it Monica?" Her distant memories were very fuzzy but she recalls something about this woman.
"Is not Monica!, Is Monet!" She shouted with rage.
Tashigi(Vivi) was lost in her own thoughts and did not pay much attention to her opponent.
"Well, no matter what your name is. It seems like you have some snow ability, that's interesting."
"Is not just some snow ability. I ate the snow logia fruit. The most powerful type of devil fruit. Even if you can use a bit of armament haki, that will not be enough against me. You are not leaving this place alive." She gave Vivi a smirk.
"You know?, killing a marine Captain can get you executed by the World government, Why not just let me pass instead?."
Her smirk intensified.
"You think I don't know who is inside that body? Law works for us, in case you didn't know, Nefertari Vivi!."
"You are no fun…" Tashigi(Vivi) pouted.
Monet's body started to change and transform until it became much bigger and monstrous with long sharp teeth.
"It seems like holding the two of you was not going to work anyway."
She gave Vivi an unsettling smile.
"But I can at least get rid of you. Joker will be very pleased."
"Joker?" Tashigi(Vivi) looked a bit confused.
The harpy moved her wings forward.
"Mannen yuki! (perpetual snow)."
Monet's body disappeared as she turned herself into a snow storm that covered the entire room, lowering the temperature and making it very hard to see anything.
Tashigi(Vivi) frowned.
'Using haki is no good, her presence is everywhere. I had no other choice but to rely on my own two eyes, but the viability was greatly reduced inside the storm.
She felt something move behind her so she turned around and was just in time to dodge an attack from Monet who tried to cut her in two with one of her wings.
'Now is my chance!'
She covered her first in haki and sent a punch at Monet's face.
The harpy twisted her body in an impossible angle to avoid the attack and slashed at Vivi.
"Tabira yuki (snow sword) "
The feathers of her wings were frozen solid and became as sharp as steel blades.
The quick motion catches Tashigi(Vivi) out of position, slashing her right leg.
Monet then disappeared again, blending into the snowstorm.
'This is a problem…I can't hit her like this, she can get away by using her logia ability while I slowly freeze to death. I need more range, my fists are not enough.'
Her eyes went to the sword on her hip.
She has been carrying around without thinking too much.
'Maybe I can use this.'
She can't have the chance to do much practice with weapons and without having access to her 'perfect memory', she cannot take advantage of her library of techniques.
Tashigi(Vivi) felt a shift in the winds and knew that Monet was behind her once more.
She quickly unsheathed the sword and stabbed at the harpy while coating the blade with a layer of armament haki.
Monet changed her shape to avoid the blade and answered with another wing attack, this time it hit Tashigi(Vivi) on her left shoulder.
"Urgg!" She groaned.
The laugher of Monet resounded all over the room.
"What's wrong?, You seem to be having some problems, hahaha!"
"Bitch…" Tashigi(Vivi) muttered.
"Just come out and face me!" She shouted.
The wind moved wildly at her side.
She gripped the sword and made a horizontal slash at the sport where Monet had appeal.
The other girl took advantage of her ability to reshape her body so she would avoid the attack while getting closer to Vivi.
This time, instead of trying to slash at her with her wings, Monet decided to get more personal and instead bit her right shoulder with her giant sharp fangs while gripping her right arm, preventing her from leaving.
"Ahh!" Tashigi(Vivi) screamed in pain as her shoulder was ripped apart.
'I finally got you!' Vivi's gaze became sharp but Monet didn't notice this change.
She also failed to notice that Tashigi(Vivi) carried more than one weapon on herself.
A small blade appeared on her left hand that was completely free.
The silver metal darkened as her haki completely coated it and then, with a decisive motion, she drove the blade into the skull of the monstrous harpy.
