Chapter 156: Vivi vs Magellan Part 2

"Tsk…I don't like resorting to these tactics but you left me no other choice."

If approaching him was too difficult, she will have to fight from a distance, that was the only choice.

She jumped in the air to avoid the demon once more. The entire area where she was previously fighting was now completely covered in a mixture of purple and crimson smoke and she was already feeling lightheaded from breathing soo much of the stuff.

Vivi made two thin plates of ice that were placed under her boots, since she is able to manipulate 'her water' in any way she could think of, it is possible to make the plates float in the air while she is stepping on them, creating a 'fly mode' of sorts.

The entire level 4 had become completely silent. The guards had left as soon as they saw Magellan starting to fight and the inmates had already inhaled soo much poison that were either dead or dying.

Vivi did not care about any of this as she was completely focused on her fight.

"Let's do this…"

A stream of water came out from her back and shoot up. A big sphere of water had started to form and grow.

Both Magellan and the Venom Demon were looking up at her, probably wondering what she was planning.

The mass of water condensed into a small crystalline form of ice and started to change shape until it morphed into a long rifle with a big barrel that Vivi took into her hands.

It was a simple-looking design, reminiscent of those old rifles used during past wars.

"This is the first model I made...Model I: Blunderbuss. I created this one to take care of some annoying flying bastards. Not a fan of this one..." She aimed the rifle in Magellan's direction while she was still levitating in the air. "...But it will do."

Magellan was slightly confused.

'Surely she doesn't believe that a metal pellet from a gun will be able to hurt me, right?.'

"A gun? You must have lost your mind due to my poison…then let me put you out of your misery!."

The Warden made a grabbing motion that the Venom Demon imitated, extending his corrosive arm to grab Vivi from the air.

A very soft sound could be heard as the weapon was shot, followed by a splat as the bullet impacted the target.

"That was a greeting shoot." Vivi winked at the Warden.

"What are you talking about?, you didn't even hi-" When Magellan went to examine himself, he realized that he was indeed hit but didn't feel it.

"Ahhhh!" He let out a bloodcurdling scream after noticing his missing left hand. A pool of blood had started to form at his feet as it poured out of his stump.

"You can't regrow that right? Too bad you are a paramecia and not a logia." Vivi said in a mocking tone.

Magellan has never been this enraged before. He immediately commanded the Venom Demon to chase after Vivi, letting a tremendous amount of poison in its way that will spread all over the area.

Vivi used jumped up high to avoid the venom construct and prepared to shoot again from a greater distance now.

Once more, a very muted noise was heard as the ice bullet came out of the barrel, unlike a real gun, this one did not use gunpowder as a source of power for the bullets.

An instant later, Magellan had a big hole in his chest. His poisonous armor did nothing to protect him against this kind of attack as Vivi's bullets were not made of metal.

Blood poured out of his mouth as the Warden looked at Vivi with a confused expression. But when he tried to articulate some words, he realized that he was unable to.

"Yeah, this thing is ugly but it shoots some big ammo. It was designed to kill big things after all...you are quite big too, I suppose." She offered a beaming smile to the Chief Warden.

The Venom Demon dissipated into nothingness as Magellan lost its concentration to keep it up.

The giant man was now on his knees on top of his own blood, trying to cover the hole in his chest with his only remaining hand.

She descended a bit, getting close to the giant man. "You know? I didn't really want to kill you, to be honest. You do a good job keeping these criminals in check and preventing any escapees…but you had to get in our way when we were trying to rescue our Captain's brother…tsk…"

She aimed the long rifle at Magellan's once more.

"I know you are confused about how I'm able to hurt you with bullets when you are supposed to be immune to them…too bad that I'm not going to bother explaining that to you."

The Warden made an angry expression for the last time as the giant bullet made contact with his forehead. Pieces of grey matter and skull fragments were scattered all over the ground.

"Maybe I should call this thing, Skullbreaker from now on." Vivi floated peacefully in the air for a bit before turning her weapon back into water.

The poison clouds started to dissipate, making it easier to breathe. Her body was already close to healing the one already inside her system and she was starting to feel better.

"Oh well… let's see where my crewmates are." She had to extend her senses until she found them.

The other Strawhats were running around level 4 after leaving Vivi to fight the Chief Warden.

"Is she going to be okay?" Asked Nami with worry in her eyes.

"Of course, she is not going to be okay!" Shouted Saldeath. "She has to fight my uncle. Chief Warden Magellan has never lost a fight. Even the worst criminals in this place are afraid of him. That woman will probably die soo-auch!"

Luffy grabbed him by the neck and got him close to his face.

"Do not say that again…" He spoke with an intimidating gaze that scared the crap out of the little demon who just nodded profusely.

"She said that she will catch up to us. And I know that she will." Said Sanji.

"Yeah!" Chopper agreed. "And Vivi can be very scary too, sometimes!" He told to the demon who had no other choice but to agree.

A.N: -Vivi's ice mechanics and why she is able to construct firearms will be explained at a later date. I don't like to add exposition unless it feels organic. She is not the kind of person that would explain everything to her enemies while fighting them.-
