Chapter 134: Back out
"Have you lost your mind?!" Vivi could not believe what she was hearing.
"No, I know exactly where my mind is, thank you very much." Oren chuckled.
"This is not the moment for jokes! old hag. I'm not going back to that hell. You have to send me somewhere else!" Demanded Vivi.
"You don't seem to understand how outclassed you are by your enemies. As you are right now, you have no chance to win, even against those humans from the World Government."
"And I would get better by burning my ass and getting tortured by those beasts you created?!" She shouted.
Oren sighed. "Let me tell you something about the God Fruit that you have. If I have to put its power in one word…it would be 'improvement'. The fruit will improve and enhance everything about you. When it heals your body, the fruit is also improving it, making it better, stronger, and more resilient. You must have noticed this, every time you have gotten seriously injured in the past, you came back stronger, right?"
Vivi did notice that of course, how could she not? She just didn't know the cause of this.
"You are saying that I should go out and get hurt in order to grow stronger?"
"That is exactly what I'm saying! There is a limit on how much the God Fruit can increase your physical capabilities through healing. But you should be able to reach that limit within these two years. Go out there and get yourself ripped to pieces."
Vivi stood up and looked at Oren.
"You are insane! I know I have to get stronger but I will find another way…"
"Suit yourself, little girl. And while you are at it, you may also want to figure out what is wrong with your devil fruit." Oren commented casually.
"Huh? What are you talking about? there is nothing wrong with my devil fruit. I know is a water logia." Defended Vivi.
"Is it? are you sure?" Asked Oren.
"I am no expert in those fruits…I hate them. But, I have seen a lot over the years. I have observed many different logias and I have to say that your fruit looks very limited for one. Not to mention that since the creation of the Devil Tree, I have never seen a logia of that element."
"If it's not a logia…what the heck is it?" Wondered Vivi.
"You have some time to figure it out and learn how to use it properly…you should be able to do a lot more with all of your otherworldly knowledge. Is a shame that you are too stupid to realize that…" Oren sighed again.
"Hey!, stop calling me stupid! And what do you mean by otherworldly knowledge? I was a broke, orphan, fast food restaurant worker who died in her twenties. I did not have much otherworldly knowledge." She became a bit depressed at remembering her old life.
"You know more useful things than you imagine right now. But…now is time for you to go." Oren requested.
Vivi rose an eyebrow.
"And what is stopping me from staying in this lab?"
"I thought you would say that." As soon as she said that, the image of Oren disappeared from the screen. The number 1:00 appeared in red color.
"I hope that is not what I think it is…" Said Vivi with dread as she started to back away.
The number started to move. 0:59…0:58…
"Are you serious?!" Shouted Vivi.
"You may want to get out before this place explodes. I have no more need of this lab and I cannot let you use it as a shelter."

"You crazy hag!, your clones are here too, are you going to kill them?!"

"I can make more of those things. You, however, are running out of time…"

Vivi did not hesitate and started running. She left through the metal doors of the lab and went up the stairs.

"It took me a long time to get here…I'll never make it…unless…"

She focused on creating the strongest blast of water she could muster.
"Water…JET!"
Her legs transformed into a propeller and sent her flying up the stairs at incredible speed.

"C'mon!, just a bit more!" She continued to push herself to her limits and keep the blast at maximum force.

"I can see the light! just a bit more!" Vivi shouted.

Vivi propelled herself out of the hole and went flying into the sky.
0:01…0:00…
A wave of fire came out of the hole and hit Vivi while she was mid-air, pushing her away against a group of black rocks.
She hit the rocks and fell to the hot ground, suffering some burns in the process.
"Ahgg!" She cried and stood up. She looked at the place that she had come from. The wave of fire had started to burn the giant tree down. Whatever resistance to fire the God Tree had while alive was no longer in effect and it started to burn like any normal tree would in the presence of fire.
Vivi stood there, watching the spectacle for a moment before realizing something.
She looked down at herself. Pieces of cloth were covering her feet and the only things covering her lady parts were some burnt panties and a bra that has seen better days.
"She could at least give me some clothes! damn it all!" Vivi complained about the injustice of her situation.
