Asuka Island
After a few days of sailing and following the Log Pose, the crew finally arrived at their destination, Asuka Island, the fifth island they visited so far. The journey was smooth, and they didn't encounter any obstacles apart from the usual crazy weather changes and the occasional sea kings' attacks.
Kureha as a new crew member was slowly getting used to the life of pirates, although she only spends her time drinking and chilling around.
Asuka island is quite big and heavily forested. It has a medium sized town with a port, a small village located deep inside the island and a marine dojo that could be found near it.
Upon arrival, the ship was docked at the town's port.
"You guys go ahead, I'll stay behind to guard the ship" Killer said, deciding to stay behind in case someone tries to break in.
"I'll stay behind as well, keep you company" Kureha who was reclining on a nearby lounge chair said.
"Suit yourselves…as for me, I wouldn't want to miss the fun of exploring an island!" Kid exclaimed as he hopped off the ship in excitement.
"This place looks quite normal. You might get disappointed" Kai noted upon taking a first look around.
"Nah, the Grand Line never disappoints" Kid responded before he walked away without waiting for the others.
As for Bonney, getting food was the first thought that crossed her mind "I'm so hungry, let's grab a meal first!"
"You're always thinking about your stomach" Heat remarked.
Don Krieg nodded his head, seemingly agreeing with Bonney's suggestion which is a very rare thing "Yeah, and a fancy one. I'm sick of those trashy meals we have on board"
"I never thought complaining about food was your thing Krieg" Gin remarked, quite surprised by Krieg's behavior.
"Yeah, because everyone's cooking is trash…those red-haired bastards, should've at least left my fleet's chef alive"
"Enough speaking! Let's find a restaurant!"
The crew proceeded to stroll around the town for a few minutes before they found a good place that serves food and drinks. Also, while they were at it, Kai took the chance to ask the people around for any important information they should know of.
Most people mentioned some usual stuff and warned them of the existence of a marine dojo and the fact that marines frequently visit this island. But the thing that grabbed Kai's attention the most is a certain legend that is very popular amongst the people here.
The crew sat at a large table and ordered their food and drinks. Kai read the newspaper which doesn't seem to be holding any interesting news other than the exploits of some pirates, which he managed to recognize a few of them, 'Surgeon of Death' Trafalgar Law, 'Magician' Basil Hawkins who both recently became recognized as a supernova as well, and the 'Mad Monk' Urouge.
Kai was carefully considering who he will ally with in the future, and the future members of the Worst Generation were on that list.
"Phew…what a good meal!" Bonney said in satisfaction while rubbing her belly.
"What do you guys think about this place so far?" Heat questioned.
"Might not be as normal as I initially though?" Kai remarked.
"Did something catch your attention?" Wire asked.
"There is an interesting legend that's being passed on the amongst people of this island" Kai stated.
Kid's attention was grabbed upon hearing his brother's words "A legend?"
"Yeah, I asked people around here and everyone seem to know about it" Kai said, he then added "It's about a legendary cursed sword called Shichiseiken, said to be the most beautiful sword in all Grand Line, and it is believed to be sealed somewhere here" (Shichiseiken is called 'Seven Star Sword' in English)
"A cursed sword?" Kid was suddenly interested in the story.
"Yeah, several hundred years ago, three princes fought over the love of a priestess which led to a great war, which is what cursed the sword in the first place. The sword forced the peoples' rage to increase until the priestess gave her life to seal the sword" Kai stated.
"But it's just a legend, we won't know for sure if it's real" Kid said.
Kai grinned before he responded "Like you said this is the Grand Line, I won't be surprised even if they told me there is a dragon sleeping on top of the mountain"
"It's worth checking it out, if that sword is real, it might be worth a lot" Gin said.

Meanwhile, in the water near Asuka Island, a Marine Warship was approaching the island's port. The ship's captain was tracking down the Eustass Pirates for days.
"Akehende-san! We managed to identify the pirate ship ashore, it's the Eustass Pirates!" An officer voiced after observing the port with a spyglass.
"I see, so we finally caught up with them. Prepare the cannons and move towards the target!!" Akehende ordered, he's a solidly built man with tan skin. He has a thin mustache and a small expanding beard on his face. He's also wearing what appear to be either headphones or some kind of protective covering over his ears that seem to hold his thick but wavy brown hair in place. On his back, he carries a massive two-handed sword.
He is the Marine Rear Admiral Akehende from the G-2 Marine Base in Paradise. It's a base located somewhere between Arabasta and Drum Kingdom.
Akehende proceeded to call someone using the Den Den Mushi "Purupurpurupuru…Purupurupu--"
<This is Comil> A deep voice responded through the Den Den Mushi, it's Vice Admiral Comil, the commander of Marine Base G-2 and the superior of Akehende.
"Comil-san, we have finally located the Eustass Pirates, they are here in Asuka Island. As we expected, they followed the Log Pose route from Drum Kingdom" Akehende informed him. There was a moment of silence before Comil responded.
<I'll 100 be there shortly, careful while dealing with them. They might rookies, but the captains have bounties of over million Berries. If you deem situation to too dangerous can retreat immediately>
"I understand"
<Good…and try to keep them alive if you can, they most likely have something do with the disappearance of Captain Hina and her subordinates. Even she's dead we find out who did it>
"I'll keep that in mind…*Gatcha*"
A few minutes later…
Killer was lying on the ship's deck having a nap, and as the Marine Warship approached, they started firing at the Victoria Punk without a notice.
"Zzzz-…*Rustle*-*Shing*" The moment the cannon balls approached the ship, Killer was immediately alerted and proceeded to get on his feet while spinning his Punishers before he leaped in the air and cut the cannon balls, causing them to explode mid-air
BOOOM!! BOOOM!!
"Who the hell…"
"…Interrupted my nap?" Killer questioned as his forearm veins bulged in anger before his eyes fell upon the Marine Warship "Tsk…Marines…"
"Oya, it seems that we have some trouble right here…" Kureha suddenly emerged from inside the ship when she heard the commotion "I hope you can handle this…Killer right?"
"Step back aunty, I'll take care of this…" Killer declared confidently.
"Who the hell are you calling an aunty? I'm only a 139 years old, but I'll let it slide this time…do your thing, I won't get in the way" She said, stepping away.
"…I will send them all to hell"
