The Monster

Vice-Admiral Onigumo subsequently locked a pair of handcuffs onto Marco's hand, when he realised that Marco least expected the Sea-stoned jitte.

Now, as Marco was shackled, he could no longer transmorph into a phoenix, or use anybof the attributes that his Devil Fruit provided.

Thus, even as Marco was recovering from what had transpired, Onigumo stabbed him half a dozen times or more with his jitte, right in his stomach.

Spewing up blood, Marco fell.

Further away from the tower, Aokiji froze Jozu with as much ice was necessary, a ton-load. Now, even his Devil Fruit and his sheer power would not help him to further his fight. He was simply a solid block of ice, nothing more. But hope still lingered; all was not lost.

Smoke rose from Jozu as his eyes stirred shakily, his body cold enough to feel the outside hot.

Aokiji, looking at the pirate he had just now frozen, grimaced. "The Whitebeard Pirates are done for . . . If only for those two…"

Surrounding the battlefield, roars erupted, after seeing Marco and Jozu fall.

"The commanders are all falling like flies!!!"

Right below the Execution Tower, Sengoku bellowed angrily, wiping away a drop of blood which had made it's way to his mouth. His clash with Roger was not all sparkles.

"Do not hesitate for even a split second! Give me Whitebeard and Roger's heads~!!!"

But Whitebeard was not going to give up so easily, and Roger did not even show the slightest notion of doing it.

Now, Akainu had backed away from Whitebeard, for he did not have stamina enough to match that mountainous man.

Half a dozen Commodores came upon Whitebeard to take him up from the front, but now, the Marines were vastly outnumbered; exactly the opposite from when the war had begun.

Vice-Admirals with the company of Shōshō and Junshō and Chūsa fought and clashed against the elites of Whitebeard, the Division Commanders, along with the captains of Whitebeard's allies.

The fight which ensued was a great one, but still, the pirates showed the symptoms of winning; inevitably.

Whitebeard boomed, while slashing and cleaving the Marines. A dozen fell with every hit; blood fell could be measured in litres. "I… Am Whitebeard!!!" Stalling his attacks, for the Navy people had stopped to tremble before his might, he continued. "My death… It's significance is not lost on me… and I am well aware of what that would entail . . .!!!"

"That is why… I cannot die yet. Not until I secure the future of my sons with these very hands…! Just because this Roger arrives doesn't mean that takes any of the responsibility from my shoulders, mind ya! A father still has his worries and hardships even when another helps him."

Sengoku was not pleased at all with these shouts of his opponent. He himself started to thunder, imbuing a piece of his arrogance in his voice, ignoring the imminent loss that had befallen upon he and his kin. " You said that you shall not, can not perish until you secure the futures of your children. Well, I shall now now show you their futures here and now, Shirohige!!!"

With that, he motioned towards the new set of Executioners, two mean in the same uniforms as the previous ones. They stood tall, and were ready to bring down their long Executioner's Blade upon Ace's bare neck.

Whitebeard's voice hastened with anger and disbelief. " there is no way I can stop them now… Guuuuhhhh!!"

Roger himself looked forward towards Ace, and his heartbeat increased it's speed twicefold. Even he could not reach there in the nick of time. No… after all that had happened, he could not let it all go now, could he? Pushing aside and ignoring Dracule Mihawk, the Pirate King ran with all his might, exceeding the speed of anyone the Marines had seen before. Their first thought was that this man could well be rival to Admiral Kizaru in speed.

Yet they were foolish and sweaty at that time, so little did they use their brains. Kizaru could move in speeds well beyond the speed of Light itself. Though Roger was unbelievably fast, undoubtedly, he came nowhere near Kizaru's speed. But then, there was always the efficiency of use of the Devil Fruit. No one knows if the Admiral uses the fruit to it's full extent.

Whizzing, darting, zooming, Roger rain in as straight a line that was possible, and his eyes reflected hatred, but still a good deal of worry too. He had never even seen Ace's picture till a few days ago, let go of meeting him in real life, but still his fatherly bond and affection still more than lingered for him.

Roger loved Ace.

He ran so fast that not even the Vice-Admirals were able to react to his speed, and Aokiji himself blinked his eyelashes once.

In spite of that, the Blades would reach the body before he could. Therefore, he decided to use his Haki. His plan was simple, at least as simple as could be explained.

He would unleash the entirety of his Haki until his reserves were seemingly empty, and that would result in the Executioners to proceed into a state of suspended death.

And when he started to release the extra tendrils, Sengoku tensed.

The Fleet-Admiral, sensing the plan of the Pirate King, turned aside and issued an order to the Hero of the Marines. "Garp! It appears that Roger is planning to unleash his Haoshoku yet again… Now, we both know that would become disastrous for us,… and for justice." He added that extra bit in a lower decibel, so that Garp would not raise any unneeded gestures. Then, he continued. " What we need now is you, Garp. And your Might. Only if we both descend together to clash against his Haki will we prevail. You know as well as I that if this attack of his lands undefended, our entirety will be obliterated." Until then his voice had been stronger than steel, but then he changed his tone to a more warm and understanding one. Sengoku was not one new to the field of diplomacy and manipulation, however strong-willed his opponent might have been. " I completely understand your struggles, my friend… If I had been in your place, then undoubtedly I would not have been able to have taken an iron decision without the majority of my heart being a turmoiled one. But . . . But now is not the time for remorse and regret, Garp. Now is the time to fight back, and hence vanquish the evil that has befallen the world. We will never have this opportunity after, for this is a one in a lifetime one. Imagine, defeating a Yonko, the Strongest Man in the World, and the Pirate King… Besides all the fame you'd get, just think about all the good it'll do, and how many people will be able to live safely without any anxiety. Just think, Hero. Think."

Garp's outer emotions was nothing other than a grunt and a grumble, but inside him waged another war that matched the magnificence, and more importantly the sadness of Marineford itself.

Nonetheless, he answered. " Ugh. Fine, i'll do it."

Garp gave a leap, and jumped down from the Tower, and Sengoku followed right behind.

Both walked a few paces, and stopped, right when Roger released his Tsunami of Haki.

When Roger unchained his Haki, Time took a breath, for it was fascinated.

Waves upon waves of Haki, enough to make the Great Sea proud.

Tendrils and tentacles, each large enough to topple Little Oars. Jr in a single sweep, were strong enough to challenge the Might of the Kraken.

Tornadoes and Hurricanes bowed and curtsied in fear and respect of the Conqueror's Haki, and that Haki was truly that of a Conqueror's.

Gods cheered for the greatest event of entertainment they had had for a while, and their applause created Typhoons which swallowed the Marines whole.

Ergo, the man who walked was no longer a man, for he had transcended.

Not a god, certainly, but still more than that of a mere human. If one has the power to erase the world, then one's thinkings change, they evolve. How is pounding your head over power and conquest important, when the world already lays at your feet? Or at least, Roger felt that old gush of adrenaline running through him tell him that.

The collision shook the earth. The great Rumbling caused the buildings of Marineford, which were behind the Platform, crumbled and fell. Fissures as wide as five feet and wider appeared in the ground, and many Marines fell into the depth of the Earth, eaten alive by the boiling magma underneath. Of course, there was collateral damage to the pirates too.

But the number of pirates who gave up their lives were pale in comparison to the death toll of the Marines.

The Cosmic Clash between the Colour's of the three Supreme Kings took place, and in spite of that two Legends were not able to dominate that one Warrior.

The entire island looked on the brink of collapse; such was the monstrous wreckage caused by the three men.

Garp and Sengoku to one side, to their backs the almost fallen Execution Tower and the crumbling buildings of Marineford, and to the other the Pirate King Gol. D. Roger, a one man army with an army. Behind him rallied all of the Commanders and Allies, and together, they were nigh-invincible.
