Doom Draws Nigh

Thither burned a blazing flame, engulfing Ace and liberating out from him. Hot was the fire, and it proved hot enough to melt the bergs of Aokiji.

Ace's freedom signified the triumph of the pirates, and their rejoice rang through the lonely isle of Marineford. Great were the bellows and shouts, and all of the crazy host gushed through and flooded Oris.

And Luffy's recognition was not the least in those moments of new liberty, when all were happy for a restricted period. All hailed the two brothers, whose actions and bizarreness went beyond the limits of sanity.

But Ace himself, did not become all too happy at his freedom, though his gratitude was expressed subtly to his brother and friends. Nor had he time to renew friendships or spend time talking through timeless fantasies, for he had more urgent matters at hand.

His father, Gol. D. Roger, the Conqueror of the Grand Line, was returned.

And his emotions broiled under his skin, but he pushed them all down, and returned back to reality to fight back against the ones who had jailed him.

A great blaze arose from his arms, and set forth to destroy all who were yet pursuing him with the purpose of killing. And Luffy too helped him in this errand, though he was tired enough as he was then.

Luffy's rubbery limbs wobbled each time he moved them, and he had barely enough energy to run. Yet a pacific mood set upon him, and his heart melted by the fires of Ace, and Luffy relaxed. Then did he realise that that was a very worse mood to get in to, for Sengoku Fleet-Admiral was right at their tails, zooming towards them as his glorifying light mingled with the light of Ace's bright fires.

Nevertheless, when Sengoku came upon Ace's company in his full fury, he was unable to land his giant hands on him.

The Commanders of Whitebeard were not wholly lying in a corner partying, but were working their ways and were trying to finish what they came to their enemies' HQ for.

Marco the Phoenix unleashed his magnificent turquoise flames, with yellow streaking the edges which provided the destroying capacities. And it acted as a glorious shield against the might of the Golden Buddha, and was able to even hold Sengoku back for a while, and executed his fair part.

But little could he accomplish, when two more Admirals came at him at unawares, namely Borsalino and Kuzan. Both displaying their efficiency and skills, they surrounded Marco, and gave him a sense of threat.

When Marco still had his hands full with the duo, Sengoku continued, and reached his target. And there was Ace cornered, in front of the stature of one of the strongest men to have ever lived.

But Roger was stronger.

When Roger's fiery glare targeted Sengoku, even the air around his line of sight trembled in agony, for it feared the wrath of the King.

And there he, Gol. D. Roger, squatted, and his impact on the ground was such that large craters formed around him, and blocks of earth-stones flew up randomly.

Under the pressure of Roger, the earth reflect the sky, and likewise, and thus the skies boomed with great thunderous storms, and lightning of various hues dotted the skyline.

Cracks ruptured, and great fires broke out abruptly. Within a hundred meter radius, everything surrounding Roger was taken in by chaos.

And thus, the three realms trembled under the heavy might of Roger, and the skies rioted. All quavered under the might of Roger, the King of the Seas.

So terrible were his bloodshot eyes that even Sengoku froze in his tracks, and paused to marvel at the Haki of Roger. So long had it been since he had experienced such a great output of Haki energy. The feeling was nostalgic, and he almost yearned for it.

And when Sengoku was still dazed under the trance of the display of dominance, Roger unleashed his attack.

"Kami No Sabaki."

The judgement of God. How truly befitting it seemed for the user. Roger felt as if God himself had delivered his verdict though his hands, and that everything he carried out was but the plan of God. In that is a higher philosophy, but that shall jot be exposed in this story.

It was a complicated trick, at least in a glance, but when carried out, the assailment simply . . . demolished everything in it's path.

Literally everything.

Any obstacle, whether fallen boulders or intruding Marine, the attack simply killed them all. That onslaught was an act of aggression that portrayed death in it's most translucent forms, and all who witnessed it shook in their shoes, whether it be friend or foe.

When Aokiji and Kizaru forebode what their great enemy was going to do, they made haste, and together came in front of Sengoku, to protect him from the danger. For the attack itself had too wide a range, and Sengoku possessed in his accursed form a body too large to dodge.

Thus, Aokiji made with his dreadful skills great towers of ice, and immense barriers of frost. Of them he strengthened, till no ordinary blade could scratch it, and thus was made his nigh unbreakable ice walls.

And Kizaru, now evolving to a stronger form of himself, learnt of the ability to mass condense light, and solidified light to form barricades, and strong fences designed in stronger designs, and he piled them on and on, until he created a stronghold of light.

And now, together with Aokiji's towering towers and Kizaru's fortress, that defence would have normally been almost impenetrable. And now, additional to the already powerful defences of the Admirals, Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma, the robot of the World Government, dived towards Sengoku, using his Devil Fruit powers to teleport himself, for he knew that the Fleet-Admiral would die if hit by that attack.

The remnant of the Warlords had already fled, in the exception of Dracule Mihawk and the Pirate Empress Boa Hancock. For Mihawk yet marvelled at the might of his King, and Boa still endeavoured to protect Luffy from all evils that threatened him.

Surrounding her were all the remaining Pacifistas, and she was lonely fighting against them, and yet possessed the upper-hand. He love for Luffy gave her an inner strength, and her stamina increased twice-fold, and she imbued kicks and punches to those robotic war-machines.

Gecko Moria of the Shadow had already left, for he knew that his hosts, the Marines, were already doomed to be defeated, and if he tarried here much longer he would die. Much alike did the king of Dressrosa think, but in a more cunning fashion, for he yet had plans and strategies left unattended to. He was not the sort to openly fight like a knucklehead, the way these 'fools' did, according to him.

And as we all know, Kuma then opened wide his mouth, and it gave off metallic sounds of gear moving. With that, a thick beam of white light was unleashed into the air, and the discharged laser shot towards Roger, with intent of disintegrating him.

Yet before it Roger's assault had already begun, and that cosmic bombardment advanced with great speeds, and met the powerful rays of Kuma.

And just like that, Kuma's rays were engulfed with ease, like a larger monster consuming a beast of a lesser stature. Just like that, like darkness making the works of light in vain, like that the Warlord's lasers were rendered useless.

It was like an unstoppable behemoth of a monstrosity, and it destroyed everything in it's path. But in the last moment, Kuma used his Nikyu Nikyu No Mi to teleport to elsewhere, and he escaped the brunt of the attack.

Besides, it collided with the holds of the Admirals then.

And then occurred waves of power and destruction, and it spread in all directions, and thus were Ace and Luffy flown apart, and they crashed into a heap of fallen Marines who fell in subject to the Haoshoku.

Stupendous and sizeable was the collision, and the shards of ice and solidified light split into a million pieces, and became surrounded by the sparkling might of the attack.

Even that great fortress created by the Admirals was broken into mere rubble, and the attack advanced still, with no other restrictions.

Thus was the phenomenal power of he who was the overall King, and it devoured all, and struck Sengoku right in his chest.

And all this occurred in under less than a second.

The wreckage and remains flew nigh everywhere, and the bricks and pavement hit even allies in their breasts. All erupted in confusion, and still the fires brought down from heaven burned, and had started to reach the nearest buildings of the buildings. Therefore, the great buildings of the headquarters started to burn, and the empire of the Navy began it's downfall.

But all was not for naught, for they would yet be saved from their wholly doom.

Thither, Sengoku had tried his best to fend back the assault of Roger, in vain. Using his great Devil Fruit, he created shockwaves and defensive wave-wards, of which's like has never been seen in this world. Mega-bubbles of shielding and averting were created, and Sengoku himself stood guard, and planted his feet firmly into the ground to fend against that elephantine thrust.

Yet, he fell, and not with the least injuries. But his comrades and his faithful Akuma No Mi had done their own fair share, for without them he would have been but a corpse by then.

Tired, with blood dripping from a cut across the length of his chest, Sengoku reverted back to his humane form, and lay thus.
