Navy Headquarters, Marineford
"I'm not participating, get Zephyr to go."
Inside Admiral Kong's office, Hercule, Sengoku, and Kong were having an emergency meeting.
"Are still angry about the World's Government decision to make you the assistant." Kong asked.
"Yes and No" Hercule answered.
"What does that mean Hercule, be clear with me, we have to get there quickly to support the World Government."
"Although I do hold a grudge against the World Government for stealing my idea and position, that's not the reason why I'm not going."
"Then why?"
"Because I refused to help those dirty Celestial Dragons, and I refused to believe that you're not aware of what they do on that island."
"That…"
"Kong san, if he doesn't wanna go then that's fine, I don't think Garp would have gone if we didn't mention that Roger was likely to be there." Sengoku advised.
What the three were talking about, was God Valley Island's looming clash, they received news that the celestial dragons had stolen the treasure of the Rocks pirates, and that alongside with the Rocks pirates, the Roger pirates were also heading there.
When Garp heard of this, without even asking questions about the circumstances surrounding the incident, he rushed towards God Valley Island, clearly to clash with Roger.
But when Kong asks Hercule to join Sengoku and go as reinforcement, Hercule refused, which is why they are in this situation.
"Admiral Kong, the navy needs a hero right? Well, my father told me that he plans to make Garp the hero of this incident, depending on how the World Government behaves."
Saying this Hercule didn't wait for Kong to respond and walked out of his office briskly.
"What is he talking about?" Kong asked Sengoku in confusion.
"Something about Nature's Family and the World Government making Garp… haha, a Hero."
Although Sengoku tried to maintain his professionalism, he couldn't contain his laughter after hearing Hercule's ridiculous statement.
He understands what Hercule means by the Marines needing a hero.
To attract more soldiers, what they need to do is advertisements, and it makes sense for the World Government to create a symbol for the people of the seas to admire, but…
He knows Garp all too well, and he believes that Garp's character is the opposite of the perfect symbol for the World Government.
So there's no way he would be chosen, in his opinion, the perfect marine for the job would be Zepry, but Zerpry is too merciful for the World Government's taste.
And then there's him, but he is a possessor of Conqueror Haki, he hasn't fully earned the World Government's trust, which leaves…
'Maybe Garp might not be so bad'.
Alright, let's go Sengoku, with the monsters that are gonna be there, we might just arrive in time to witness a sinking island.
"Yes Sir!"

West Blue, God Valley
The skies above God Valley were alight with a fiery glow as the battle of two mighty forces clashing in a titanic struggle for supremacy was coming to an end.
On one side stood the legendary Rocks Pirates, a fearsome crew led by the notorious Rocks D. Xebec, whose thirst for power knows no bounds. Opposing them were the combined forces of the World Government and the Marines, led by the enigmatic figures of Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp.
The air was filled with the thunderous roar of cannon fire and the clash of steel upon steel. The combatants, each fueled by their own ambitions and desires, had unleashed their most devastating attacks in a frenzied display of strength and skill.
The ground was bloodied, with hundreds of corpses lying around, and steel and wooden frames of ship parts were floating in on the sea bed.
Some of the slaves that were being held captive here had already escaped, and the God Knights had already secured the safety of the Celestial Dragons. Only the Rocks pirates, the Marines, and World Government agents were left on the island.
But the strange thing about the ongoing fight between the Rocks pirates versus the WG and Marines was the fact that, at this time, Big Mom, Shiki, and Kaido were fighting against men dressed in World Government clothing, all equipped with swords.
These were suspected to be members of the God Knights, and these men weren't exactly weak either, it seems that the World Government went the extra mile to deal with the Rocks pirates this time.
But still, despite these World Government warriors being formidable opponents, if one observes closely, they would realize that Big Mom, Shiki, and Kaido weren't exactly fighting at their full strength.
Not only them, but the rest of the powerful members of the Rocks pirate crew, were not really fighting with their full strength either, it seemed that they were conserving their strength for something.
Although there were men in robes surrounding them with other marine soldiers, the Rocks crew were ignoring their presence. Because they knew that if they decided to use their full strength, they would have no excuse as to why they were unable to help Xebec.
Instead, they just stood back and observed the clash, and from time to time they would send out some attacks on any marine or World Government agent that got too close to them.
Whitebeard, on the other hand, was really fighting against someone, a Red-haired figure, but they were on another side of the island, far from the fight between Garp, Roger, and Xebec.
The vibration from their fight spread all the way across the island, but no one really paid attention to their fight, because they were busy watching the fight between Roger and Garp vs Xebec, the three Ds.
"What are you doing Roger? Why are you helping the World Government, are you following in the footsteps of this dog? 'Clang!'" Xebec screamed as his sword clashed with Roger's.
"Whahaha… 'Clang!' you should know why I'm doing this Xebec, it's either me or you, and I chose you. " Roger responded.
'Woosh!' Just then, Garp appeared on the side of Xebec ready to deliver a Haki-covered punch, but 'Ah!' Rocks reacted quickly by forcefully pushing Roger away with his sword, and then singing it to meet Garp's fist 'Clang!'.
But while Garp and Xebec were colliding, 'Woosh!' Roger rushed back swinging his Haki-infused sword Ace towards Xebec, and just like before, using his superior strength, Xebec pushed Garp away to defend against Roger's incoming sword attack. 'Clang!'
The three continued like this for another half an hour, with Garp and Roger attacking while Xebic defended and counterattacked from time to time.
'Bam!'
After an exchange, both Roger and Garp were flung backward, but this time instead of rushing toward Xebec, they stood in place giving each other a nod.
A big smile appeared on Roger's face as he swung his sword back, "Divine Departure!"
Garp didn't fall behind with a grin taking over his face, as lightning crackled around his advanced armament-covered fist, "Galaxy Impact".
