Chapter 75: No Loose Ends

Kai heard Robin's words and felt the nervousness and fear well up inside him. He felt fear that she somehow knew what he was about to say. He was scared of being rejected, even though he never even spoke out. This is how nervous Kai really was, and how much he truly cared for Robin.

Even in his state of fear and nervousness as his mind raced for what Robin could possibly be about to say. Kai still nodded eagerly as he was awaiting Robin's next words.

Seeing Kai's nod Robin continued. "I just can't put it into words. How much you have done for me and how much you helped me. I am truly happy right now for everything you have done. You were… Err I mean to say. You are the person who saved me. You mean so much to me and you make me feel happy just by being around you. I can't explain just how lucky I was to meet you. I wouldn't be here without you. You have become something or someone in my life that no one else has been for me before. You being with me has shown me an uncountable number of new experiences and emotions. But, one is more prevalent and important than any of the others. It makes me happy when I'm with you, and sad when we are apart even for a moment. I started thinking about you all the time. You have become someone irreplaceable for me and I don't think I can live without you anymore. Kai, I love you."

Kai felt a feeling of incomprehensible joy and affection at this moment. He opened his mouth to reply but words failed to form as he was unable to explain his own feelings at the moment.

Robin looked at him nervously as she eagerly awaited a reply while simultaneously fearing his answer.

After an excruciatingly long moment of failing to announce his own feelings, Kai finally replied. "Robin, I lov-"

Kai couldn't finish what he was going to say as he flew through the air suddenly. Kai felt a sharp pain in his head as he got up with a confused look on his face.

"Bwahahahaha! I bet you missed me!" Garp called out as he was standing in the same spot Kai just was.

Kai immediately figured out what happened and looked over at the man who just punched him with a fire in his eyes.

Kai felt as if his very soul was burning in fury as he roared. "You're dead gramps!"

Kai charged at Garp, ready to kill the old man for interrupting at such a crucial moment. Kai flashed to Garp and had his hands wrapped around Garp's neck as he was ready to strangle him.

Robin was watching this with her mouth agape before she just laughed. "NISHISHISHI!"

As Kai was amidst attacking Garp her laugh reached his ears. Causing Kai's attention to be drawn away from Garp for a moment. However, that was all Garp needed to free himself and punch Kai in the face again.

Garp got up and rubbed his neck lightly. "What kind of grandson strangles his own grandfather?! It sounds like you haven't had enough of the fists of love!" Garp said as he started trying to attack Kai once more.

The two started a fight which eventually turned into a dust brawl. Robin was watching them the whole time and laughing. She was both pissed and relieved that Garp had interrupted at such a crucial moment. She was a lot less pissed than Kai thought, which is why she was having so much fun laughing at the two men brawling.

Robin was just enjoying the show and having fun watching Kai interact with Garp. She knew that Kai would have never actually killed Garp no matter how pissed he really was so she felt free to enjoy the show. She was also very curious about how the Monkey family interacted with each other and showed affection for one another.

After not having a family for so long she felt as though seeing Kai's family, possibly her family in the future, was like a breath of fresh air. She enjoyed spending time with them and Kai. She was hopeful that one day she too could once again have a family that she cared about. Just like how Kai was able to find one after losing his own parents.

After a long while of fighting the two men got up off of the floor and dusted themselves off. They both muttered about how much of a bastard the other was before turning to face one another. Their eyes met and they glared at each other intensely.

"BWAHAHA!/WAHAHAHA!" Both Kai and Garp started laughing.

Kai caught his breath before saying. "If it was anyone else but you, Gramps. I really would have killed them."

Kai shook his head in dismay and chuckled to himself. Garp's eyes narrowed and he tilted his head, you could practically see the question mark popping up above his head. Garp was confused as to why Kai was angry and it showed on his face.

Kai felt his eyebrow twitch because Garp didn't even realize what he had done. Kai took a very, very deep breath to calm himself down before he looked at Garp once more.

"*sigh* Nevermind. Anyway, gramps. Meet your granddaughter-in-law to be." Kai said as he gestured towards Robin in a grandiose manner.

Robin giggled and waved at Garp. "Nice to meet you." She said as she held out her hand for Garp to shake.

Garp just gawked in disbelief before screaming. "LUFFY HAS A GIRLFRIEND??????"

Kai felt multiple veins in his forehead bulge. The combination of preceding events made him nearly attack Garp once more before he heard Robin's echoing laughter.

"NISHISHISHI!" Robin laughed at the concept of her and Luffy dating, or really Luffy dating anyone.

She still remembered the first time she met everyone and one of the first things that Luffy said to her. She remembered when he was asking if she and Kai were going to fuck with no regard to the situation at hand, a complete lack of situational awareness or common sense. As she recalled this she only laughed harder.

Kai's anger was slightly quelled as he heard Robin's enjoyment of the situation. Using her as a beacon of mental fortitude, he succeeded in his attempts to hold back from strangling Garp once more.

After a few deep breaths. Kai had once again attained a stable mindset and was ready to continue. Only to nearly lose all his progress in the next moment.

Garp allowed his inner thoughts to be spoken aloud. "This makes no sense. I never even taught Luffy about sex! How could he have a girlfriend? Did Dadan teach him? Bwahahaha! As if she would ever teach those brats anything like that!"

Kai felt his eyebrow twitch once more. He was getting ready to lose it again, and this time even Robin's giggles weren't able to calm him much.

"Dragon asked me for a favour so I taught him. Speaking of. Why did you never teach Luff?" Kai asked Garp in an icy tone, clearly ready to rage at any moment.

Garp started to seriously pounder his own actions before his eyes suddenly shot open and his mouth widened into a circle. He looked as if he had just come to an ingenious realization.

"I thought it would be funny!! And it was! Bwahahahahaha!!" Garp laughed loudly as he answered Kai's question.

Kai's face stayed frozen in place. His jaw clenched tightly for a moment before releasing. Robin saw the look on his face and glanced between Garp and Kai nervously. She slowly reached an arm towards Kai in an attempt to calm him down as she could tell he was about to blow a fuse.

In an effort to stop Kai's next actions Robin was about to speak up. "D-"

"WAHAHAHAHAHA!! It was pretty funny!" Kai burst into hysterics along with Garp.

Kai was thinking back not only to his time with Luffy but also back to the manga and all the funny moments Luffy had. He remembered a particularly stupid and funny moment with Luffy and Hanccock which caused him to laugh even harder.

Robin, who had just witnessed this had been in shock this whole time before she finally got a grasp on the situation. She giggled happily in her heart but didn't show the same reaction outwardly.

Robin glared at Kai 'angrily' before she pouted. "I can't believe you would do that to me. I thought you were really gonna kill the old man. " She said to Kai with a huff.

Kai immediately stopped laughing. He instantly apologized. "I'm sorry, I won't do it again." Kai said as he put on his performance of puppy dog eyes that he had perfected over the years with Makino.

Robin only side eyed him. "You're not cute enough to pull that off, Mask-san."

Kai felt his body stiffen and his eyes shot wide in horror. He slowly turned to Garp with a look in his eyes warning Garp against speaking.

Garp obviously ignored the warning. "BWAHAHAHA!! You're just like that red haired brat!!"

Kai fell to his knees in despair. "No. It can't be. Ginger can never know of this, he will never let me live it down."

Kai looked down towards his hands sadly, he had become the very thing he always bullied Shanks for! Kai slowly clenched his fists that he was looking down towards. His neck quickly snapped in Garp's direction.

"No loose ends. I'm sorry, gramps, I need you to die here, I can't let Ginger ever find out about this." Kai sadly claimed.
