Life Of A Bounty Hunter ( Part 3 )

( 3rd Pov )

Drake and Thor have been sailing for three hours straight towards Bluestone Island, which was where the object infused with the powers of a devil fruit. Thor steered the ship while Thor lifted some weights on the deck which they got from the marines. They were about 40 minutes away from the island although a pirate crew got to the treasure first.

( Drake's Pov )

As I steered the ship, on the map a pirate crew appear near the island we are going towards. It seems like I have to change my plans for Thor as I planned on training him on the island.

" Thor, if we encounter any pirates, you are to hide on the ship." I said to him as he stopped lifting the 100 pounds weights.

" Why do I have to hide, I'm more than strong enough to fight pirates." Thor said back to me as he stood up making me sigh at his foolishness. According to the system's ranking, his strength is around a pirate worth $5 million berries.

But I'm not taking any chances as I did with Albert. And I wanna keep him hidden until I can start my plans for my goals. Ethan doesn't know about Thor having conqueror's haki and I told him I'm bringing him with me to show him the true scale of the world.

" Hmm, first your too reckless, your too sluggish, and lastly you're plain weak right now." I answered back while on the map, the multiple devil fruits all disappeared while the infused devil fruit object was still on the island.

'Damn, looks like the zoan devil fruits were eaten.' I thought in annoyance.

( Note: I changed this part of the system's function. It could tell Drake what type of devil fruits they are when the system locates them.)

" Than train me you bastard, you said you train me in haki and rokushiki whatever bullshit those are." Thor said in annoyance as I did tell him that but I didn't fully explain what haki and rokushiki are. While those two were arguing, pirates landed on the island and found the treasure chest which had the object infused with a devil fruit power.

Bluestone Island

Inside a castle that has been destroyed and broken for over three hundred years was the Captain of the Cutless Pirates. A man called Cut worth $15 million berries due to several outrageous crimes he committed. The man had wild black hair spiking out from all sides of his head while carrying a cutlass sword on his wrist.

" Are all the treasures here?" Cut asked his several men as they showed him several treasure chests.

" Hai Captain, that's everything we could find. We checked every area that the map pointed at." One of his men said as he opened one of the chests filled with gold and other rare items to the brim.

" Very good, looks like the map wasn't a fake after all. From rumors of the past, the royal family had some sort of treasure that let them store anything inside it. It ought to be inside one of the chests."

" Once we find it, we be rich, boys...gagaggagaga."

" Now let us get out of here before any of the other bastards find out we got the treasures of Bluetone royal family." Cut said to his men as they walked out of the broken castle. As they were getting to their ship, they saw another ship coming towards them but there was one passenger on the ship.

" Hey, whose that brat." Cut asked one of his men as the other ship got closer.

" A kid sailing on a small ship with a pitch blade sword, is the pirate slayer from one of the rumors that recently started appearing? I heard he took down Bao singlehandedly." One of Cut's men said before Cut along with everyone else started laughing at the absurdity of the rumor.

" You really believed that? It's just some rumors spread by the Marines to scare off pirates." Cut said to that person who said that as he waited for the ship to dock on the island to prove the rumors false.

( Drake's Pov )

As the ship got closer towards Bluestone Island, I had Thor get inside one of the ship's three rooms while I air walked towards the shore of the island where I saw a pirate ship along with 40 pirates. As I landed on the ground I saw a large blue castle all broken down with trees and grass growing over them.

'No doubt the island was at war before it got destroyed. I thought as I looked around before the pirate crew started walking towards me. On the map, the object I'm looking for is inside one of the chests that is being held by one of the pirates.

As I looked at the crew, I identified the Captain of the crew quite easily due to his cutlass sword he had at his wrist and his wild spikey hair. He was walking up to me as he unsheathed his sword.

"Oh, you're approaching me." I said to him as he arrived in front of me. It was quite a funny scene as I'm 5'9 and Cut is 8'4 as he looked down at me.

" Gagagaga... You must be the rumored Pirate Hunter. I heard you take down the weakling Bao but don't think you can defeat me just because of that." Cut said to me as he tried to cut me down with his sword. I sidestepped his attack as I grabbed his right arm forcing him to drop his sword.

I instantly unsheathed Morgan from my back and cut both of his arms with it, blood pouring out as Cut tried to stop the bleeding. This all happened in a few seconds before his crew could react. After they saw what I did to their Captain, they tried shooting at me but I just sent out three large slashes at them killing some of them and others lost their limbs.

'This time I decided to let some of the pirates live as I wanted them to spread my deeds to the rest of the West Blue. From what Cut said, it looks like me taking down Bao already started spreading around this part of the sea.' I thought while I crushed open the chest which has what I'm looking for inside it.

As I looked inside it, rather than seeing gold, all I saw was a ring inside it which I picked it up.

' System, tell me what devil fruit is infused within the ring'. I asked the system in my head as I got my answer in a few seconds.

From the system's answer, the ring was infused with a paramecia type- the Storage Storage fruit. It allows its user to store weapons and other inanimate objects in a pocket dimension storage that similar storage capacity to a large city. It can't store any living beings in its pocket dimension though.

'Wow, whoever thought came up with this idea is an absolute genius.' I thought while releasing my conqueror's haki to make the ring's soul submit to me. The ring's soul didn't even try to resist me being its new master as it was very passive compared to Morgan.'

'Well, I guess it makes sense Morgan is a supreme-grade sword with huge pride and ego. And the ring's soul is a passive type item. I thought while I slid the ring into my middle finger. Even though I didn't get the zoan devil fruits, this more than makes up for it.' I thought while I air walked back towards Thor and the ship.

I decided to come up with this solution for the system not having an inventory and I didn't feel like going back and adding it to the previous chapters. Drake will get a new epithet in the next couple of chapters as I don't want him sharing the same name with Zoro.

I'm currently trying out a new writing style and seeing how it does. So if the chapter feels weird, it's probably due to that. If I made any mistakes do let me know as I will try to fix everything I made in the previous chapters and his one tomorrow as I don't have any classes.
