The end of first stage

As John sat down with Rouge, he took a deep breath and said, "Mom, I have decided to join the Marines."

Rouge looked at him with a mix of surprise and concern. "Why would you do that, John? You are already strong enough to protect us."

"I want to become stronger, Mom. I want to protect not just our family, but also the people of this country. And for that, I need to join the Marines," John replied.

Rouge was hesitant at first, but she could see the determination in her son's eyes. "I understand, John. But promise me that you will come back to see us often."

Garp, who was also present, spoke up. "Don't worry, Rouge. I will make sure he comes back to visit you and the kids."

With Garp's assurance, Rouge finally agreed on one condition. "Okay, John. You can join the Marines, but you have to promise to come back to see us at least two times every three months."

John smiled, relieved that his mother had finally agreed. "I promise, Mom. I will come back to see you and the kids as often as I can."

And with that, John began his journey as a Marine, determined to become stronger and protect the ones he loved.

John felt a lump in his throat as he looked around his room, taking in all the memories he had created with his family. He walked over to the chest where he kept all the items that had been gifted to him by his mentors and friends.

Opening it up, he felt a sense of nostalgia wash over him as he gazed at each item, remembering the stories and lessons that came with them. He picked up the sword his father had given him, running his fingers along the blade as he remembered the times they had spent together.

John then turned to Ace, who was eagerly waiting for his attention. He knelt and handed him the dagger that had been given to him by Shanks. "Be careful with this," he said softly, ruffling the boy's hair.

As he placed the coin given to him by Buggy next to the sleeping Luffy, John felt his heart swell with emotion "May this coin give you luck Luffy.". He couldn't believe he was leaving them all behind, but he knew he had to become stronger to protect them.

John turned to Rouge, who was standing at the doorway with tears in her eyes. He took a step towards her, wanting to embrace her and tell her everything would be alright, but he knew he had to be strong.

"I'm doing this for all of you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I promise I'll come back to visit every chance I get."

Rouge shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "I don't want you to go," she cried. "I'm scared."

John then hugged her" Don't worry Mom I will come to visit you often and every time I come I will be stronger."

Garp stepped forward, putting a hand on John's shoulder. "You're strong, John," he said. "You can do this. And they will be here waiting for you when you come back."

John took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He knew he had to go, but it didn't make it any easier. He hugged his family one last time before walking out the door, his chest heavy with emotion.

As he walked down the road, he could hear Rouge's sobs echoing in his ears. It took everything he had not to turn back, but he knew he had to keep moving forward. For them, for himself, for his dream.

As John boarded the ship, Garp introduced him to Bogard, the first mate of the ship.

"Hey, Bogard," Garp said, slapping Bogard on the back. "Meet John, my grandson. He's going to be joining the Marines with us."

Bogard turned to John, giving him a quick once-over before flashing a big grin. "Well, well, well, another recruit for Garp's training camp," he said with a chuckle. "Let's see what you're made of, kid."

John couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by Bogard's size and boisterous personality. But he put on a brave face and tried to keep up with the banter.

"I'm ready for whatever you guys throw at me," John said, puffing out his chest a bit.

Bogard let out a loud laugh. "That's the spirit!" he said. "But I hope you're ready for some tough love from old man Garp here. He's not exactly known for taking it easy on his recruits."

Garp chuckled at the jab, but John could tell that there was some truth to it. He couldn't help but feel a little nervous about what he was getting himself into.

As they made their way down to the lower deck, Bogard turned to John and said, "Hey, kid, let me show you something." He led John over to a large barrel in the corner of the room and opened it up.

Inside the barrel was a small monkey with a mischievous glint in its eye. "Meet Blue," Bogard said with a smirk. "He's our ship's mascot. But don't let his size fool you, he's got quite the personality."

John couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the little monkey, who was now trying to climb up Bogard's leg.

"He seems like a handful," John said with a grin.

"Oh, you have no idea," Bogard replied. "But he keeps us all on our toes."

As they continued their tour of the ship, John couldn't help but feel like he was in for an adventure. Between Garp's tough love training and Bogard's antics, he knew that he was going to have his hands full. But he was ready for the challenge, and excited to see where this new path would take him.

After a few days of sailing they finally arrive in Marineford.

As John looked at the massive marine fortress known as Marineford, he couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, he was excited to begin his training and start his journey as a marine. On the other hand, he was nervous and overwhelmed by the sheer size and power of the place.

As they approached the port, John could see dozens of marines running around, preparing for their duties. Ships of all shapes and sizes were anchored in the harbor, and he could hear the sounds of cannons firing in the distance. It was a sight to behold, and John couldn't help but feel a sense of pride knowing that he would soon be a part of this world.

Garp noticed John's awestruck expression and chuckled. "Welcome to Marineford, boy. It's a sight to behold, isn't it?"

John nodded, still taking it all in. "Yeah, it's amazing. I can't wait to start training here."

Garp put a hand on John's shoulder. "Good. You have a lot to learn, but I have faith in you. Now let's go find your quarters and get you settled in."

As they walked through the bustling port, John couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement building within him. He knew that this was just the beginning of his journey, and he was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.

Then they reach Garp's house. John then proceeded to take some rest before starting his new adventure.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------Side story:

John had been wandering through a dense jungle, looking for a place to rest and eat. As he walked, he stumbled upon a group of gorillas who were enjoying a large bunch of bananas.

"Hey, those look like some tasty bananas," John thought to himself. "I could use a snack."

Without thinking, John approached the gorillas and asked if he could have a banana.

One of the gorillas, the largest of the group, stepped forward and growled which could be translated to, "These bananas are ours. You'll have to fight us if you want one."

John knew he was in for a tough battle, but he was determined to get his banana. He rolled up his sleeves and prepared for a fight.

The gorillas charged at him, but John was quick on his feet. He dodged their punches and kicks, using his martial arts skills to his advantage. He threw a series of powerful kicks and punches, each one landing with a satisfying thud on the gorillas' thick hides.

The gorillas fought back, but John was too fast and too skilled. He ducked and weaved, jumping around like a monkey himself. He even managed to swing from the trees, using his acrobatic abilities to his advantage.

After several minutes of intense fighting, John finally emerged victorious. The gorillas lay on the ground, battered and bruised, while John triumphantly held the bunch of bananas aloft.

"Ha! Victory is mine!" he shouted.

The gorillas grudgingly admitted defeat and slunk away, nursing their injuries. John sat down to enjoy his hard-earned banana, feeling proud of his victory over the mighty primates.

That is the end of volume 1.
