Marine life

John groaned as he was rudely awakened by Garp's hit on his head. He rubbed his eyes and sat up, still feeling drowsy.

"Come on, John. We have to go meet Sengoku," Garp said, his voice stern and serious.

John nodded, still feeling groggy. "Alright, alright, I'm up," he said, standing up and stretching his arms.

John quickly gets up and starts getting ready for the meeting with Sengoku. Garp, on the other hand, starts teasing John about his messy hair and unpolished shoes.

Garp: "Look at you, John! You're going to meet the Fleet Admiral and you haven't even combed your hair properly. What will he think of us?"

John: "I'm sorry, I'll fix it right away."

Garp: "And what's with those shoes? You need to polish them properly, boy!"

John: "Yes, sir. I'll do it right away."

After getting ready, John and Garp make their way to Sengoku's office. As they enter, they see Sengoku sitting behind his desk, looking very serious.

Sengoku: "Welcome, Garp. And who is this young man?"

Garp: "This is my grandson, John. He has come here to join the Marines and become a strong fighter."

Sengoku: "Ah, I see. Welcome to the Marines, John. I hope you will make us proud."

John: "Thank you, sir. I'll do my best."

Sengoku: "Now, Garp, what is the purpose of this meeting?"

Garp: "I just wanted to drop by and say hello. And maybe give you a little something to remember me by."

Sengoku looks at Garp suspiciously as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny piece of paper.

Garp: "Here you go, Sengoku. This is a map of the secret stash of cookies that Vice Admiral Tsuru keeps hidden in her office. You know how much she loves them."

Sengoku rolls his eyes as Garp laughs out loud.

Sengoku: "Thank you, Garp. I'll make sure to keep this safe."

John can't help but smile as he watches the two old friends banter back and forth. He starts to realize that being a marine might not be as serious as he thought it was going to be.

As John and Garp were leaving Sengoku's office, Garp was still teasing and poking fun at the old man. Sengoku was getting increasingly agitated and finally, he snapped at Garp, "Just leave my office, will you?!"

Garp, being the mischievous person he is, decided to give Sengoku a little farewell present. As they walked towards the door, Garp kicked the wall accidentally, causing a huge crack to form. Sengoku, who had been watching them leave, yelled, "Garp, what have you done?!"

John tried to hold back his laughter as Garp just shrugged nonchalantly, "Oops, my bad."

Sengoku was seething with anger now, "You're going to pay for that, Garp!"

But before Sengoku could say anything else, Garp pulled out a pack of crackers from his pocket and handed them to him, "Here, have a snack. It'll calm you down."

John couldn't help but burst out laughing as Sengoku's face turned bright red with anger. Garp and John quickly left the office, trying to stifle their laughter.

As they walked down the hallway, Garp turned to John and said, "That was worth it. Did you see the look on his face?"

John just shook his head, still chuckling, "You're such a troublemaker, Gramps."

Garp just grinned, "Hey, life's too short to be serious all the time. You gotta have some fun!"

And with that, they continued on their way, leaving a fuming Sengoku behind them.

As they made their way out of Sengoku's office, Garp and John came across the three Vice Admirals - Akainu, Kuzan, and Borsalino - standing in the hallway.

Garp greeted them with his usual boisterous attitude, causing Akainu to scowl and Borsalino to chuckle. Kuzan, on the other hand, greeted Garp and John with a polite nod.

"Hey, John, this here is Kuzan. He used to be one of my students," Garp said, introducing the Vice Admiral to John.

"Nice to meet you," John said, extending his hand for a handshake.

Kuzan accepted the handshake with a smile. "Likewise, John. I've heard a lot about you from Garp."

As they chatted, Akainu couldn't help but interject. "Garp, we need to discuss some serious matters. This isn't the time for small talk."

Garp shrugged. "Relax, Sakazuki. We'll get to it. Right now, I'm catching up with an old friend and introducing him to my grandson."

Borsalino laughed. "You always were a sentimental one, Garp."

As they continued their conversation, Garp backed up without realizing he was standing too close to the wall. With a loud crash, he fell back and broke through the wall.

Sengoku's voice could be heard from the other side. "GARP! What the hell is going on out there?"

Akainu rolled his eyes. "This is why we can't have nice things."

Borsalino snickered. "Looks like you owe the old man a new wall, Akainu."

Kuzan just shook his head and sighed. "Some things never change."

John couldn't help but chuckle at the scene, and even Garp seemed to find it amusing as he climbed out of the hole in the wall.

"Sorry about that, Sengoku!" Garp shouted back. "I'll fix it later!"

They then head towards the training ground.

Garp then kicked John to the ground.

John groaned as he picked himself up from the ground, dusting off his clothes. "What was that for, Gramps?" he asked with a glare.

Garp chuckled, patting him on the back. "Just wanted to give you a proper introduction, John. And what better way to do that than with a good old kick to the ground?"

John rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "You never change, Garp," he muttered under his breath.

As he looked around the training ground, John saw the other recruits staring at him with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. He could tell that they were all wondering what he was doing there, especially since he was starting from scratch just like them.

"Alright, everyone!" Z's voice boomed across the training ground. "We have a recruit here today. His name is John and he'll be joining us in our training exercises."

The recruits all turned their attention to John, sizing him up as he stood there awkwardly. Some of them snickered at the sight of him, while others just looked bored.

"Alright, John," Z said, clapping his hands together. "Let's see what you're made of. Join in on the exercises with the rest of the recruits."

John nodded, taking his place among the other recruits as they began their warm-up exercises. He could feel the sweat already starting to bead on his forehead as he struggled to keep up with the others.

Z "Lift the boulders higher all of you."

As the training continued, John found himself struggling more and more. He could feel his muscles aching and his breaths coming in short gasps. But he refused to give up, determined to prove himself to Garp and everyone else.

After what felt like hours of grueling training, the session finally came to an end. John collapsed on the ground, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath. He looked up to see Z and the other recruits staring down at him, expressions of surprise and respect on their faces.

"Well done, John," Z said, offering him a hand up. "You may have started from scratch, but you've got a lot of potentials. I look forward to seeing how you progress in the future."

John smiled, feeling a sense of pride swell up inside of him. He knew that he still had a long way to go, but he was determined to become stronger and make a name for himself in the Marines.

Garp" That's enough for today brat. Go home and rest."

Z then turns to Garp " He is a monster Garp all these recruits are more than 20 years old and most of them will become Commodores after they graduate. He kept up with them even though he is only nine years old."

Garp nods in agreement and says that he had high hopes for John as he was one of the most talented students he had ever trained. Z then asks Garp if he was planning on recommending John for the captain position, to which Garp responds that it was too early to say but he had faith in John's abilities.

Z then comments on how rare it was to see someone master two different martial arts styles and create their unique style. Garp agrees and mentions how he had seen John practicing his style and how destructive it was.

Z then warns Garp that he should be careful with John as he could easily surpass the admirals if he wanted to. Garp chuckles and says that he did not doubt John's potential, but he also knew that John had a kind heart and would use his powers to protect the innocent rather than harm them.

As they part ways, Garp reflects on Z's words and realizes that John was indeed a monster in terms of his abilities. But he was also a kind-hearted and brave young man who would do anything to protect his loved ones and the innocent. Garp smiles to himself, feeling proud to have trained such a remarkable individual.

--------------1 year later----------------

John continued his training for 1 year and built up his strength he could now face off captains.

Z "You lot will now spar with each other."

John stood opposite the captain, both ready to spar. The captain was confident, a smirk playing at the corner of his mouth. John stood calmly, his expression unreadable.

The captain lunged forward, throwing a punch at John. But John was quick, dodging the attack and retaliating with a swift kick to the captain's midsection. The captain stumbled back, surprised at John's speed.

They continued to exchange blows, each trying to outsmart the other. But John's martial arts skills were on full display, his movements fluid and precise. He used his opponent's momentum against him, flipping the captain over his shoulder and onto the ground.

The captain quickly got back up, wiping the dirt off his clothes. He was impressed with John's skills but refused to lose. He charged forward again, determined to take John down.

John waited patiently, watching as the captain got closer. Just as the captain was about to strike, John moved his arm in a swift motion, catching the captain's wrist and twisting it behind his back.

The captain let out a grunt of pain as John held him in place. The fight was over. John had won using nothing but his karate and strength.

The other marines watching the fight were amazed, some even cheering for John. Garp watched from the sidelines, a proud smile on his face.

John walked over to the captain, helping him up. The captain shook his hand, admitting defeat.

"Good fight," he said.

"Thanks, you too," John replied, his face breaking into a small smile.

He knew he had a lot more training ahead of him, but for now, he was satisfied with his progress.

side story:

One day, John was feeling a bit peckish and decided to sneak into Garp's room to steal some of his famous rice crackers. As he was tiptoeing towards the snack stash, he accidentally tripped and knocked over a vase.

The noise alerted Garp, who came running in to see what was going on. When he saw John with his hand in the rice cracker jar, he flew into a rage and started chasing John around the room.

Despite John's best efforts to dodge and weave, Garp was too fast and caught him with a series of punches and kicks. John ended up with a black eye and a bruised ego, but at least he learned his lesson: never mess with Garp's rice crackers!
