"Bang!"
The library door swung open abruptly as Domino entered, having changed out of her Impel Down uniform into a dark casual suit.
The sight inside the library made Domino's expression tense. Buggy seemed unaffected, sitting behind his desk and focused on writing something. However, Boa Hancock was in a peculiar state.
Boa Hancock's cheeks were flushed, her hands braced against the desk as she tried to steady her trembling body, clearly struggling to maintain composure.
Seeing this, Domino's cheeks flushed as well. She remarked coldly, "It seems I've arrived at an inopportune moment."
Buggy glanced up at Domino with a smirk and replied, "No, you arrived at just the right time."
He set aside his pen and paper and continued, "I was about to go over some basic frameworks, and I could use your help to put together a detailed implementation plan."
Although Buggy had a rough idea of the structure for the Cross Guild, it was unrealistic for him to manage the entire setup on his own. Professional tasks needed professionals to handle them!
The reason Buggy kept Domino around was simply because he valued her abilities!
The other reasons were secondary!
Domino didn't refuse either; it was just as she had anticipated. After closing the door, she walked over to Boa Hancock, picked up the document Buggy had written earlier, and began reading it.
"What are you writing about? Me?"
"Hmmm…"
Domino glanced at the paper and frowned. Just as she was about to speak, Boa Hancock let out a soft snort and sat down on the floor!
Domino looked down and noticed a puddle of water spreading under her feet. She quickly moved over to Buggy's side!
Buggy coughed lightly, ignoring Domino's disapproving gaze. "Forget about that. Let's continue!"
Domino took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, and said, "What's written here is just a list of your demands. It's not a proper framework at all!"
What Buggy had written was essentially a list of how many positions the Cross Guild should have, how many businesses it would involve, and it was as if he hadn't written anything useful at all!
Buggy looked at Domino with a clear gaze and smiled. "Exactly, so you'll need to draft a plan based on my requirements. As long as you can manage the Cross Guild, hahaha."
Domino frowned and replied coldly, "So you want me to handle everything? What do you think of me?"
Buggy replied matter-of-factly, "Well, you're probably like a personal secretary, a personal assistant, or maybe even a personal sword attendant!"
Domino asked, puzzled, "What's a personal sword attendant?"
Domino understood the roles of a personal secretary and assistant, but the idea of a personal sword attendant was new to her.
Buggy explained, "It's like a maid who carries a sword for a great swordsman!"
[Emphasizes the presence of the great sword!]
Domino nodded, somewhat grasping what Buggy meant but still uncertain. "What about your sword?"
Domino knew that Buggy used a sword, but she had never seen him wield a particularly good one; they always seemed disposable!
Buggy pointed to the limp figure on the ground, who was still twitching, and said, "Now my sword is with her!"
Domino was momentarily stunned and asked, "She's also one of your sword attendant?"
Buggy shook his head and corrected, "No, she's a scabbard!"
Domino: "..."
Meanwhile, in an unknown sea, a warship was racing toward the windless zone at full speed.
"Ace!!"
Inside the cabin, Luffy, who was undergoing a blood transfusion and covered in bandages, suddenly opened his eyes wide and let out a hoarse roar!
Ivankov, who had been watching over him, showed a glimmer of relief in his eyes upon seeing this. He quickly stepped forward, pressing Luffy's shoulder and said, "Straw Hat, don't move! You're still getting a transfusion!"
Seeing Ivankov's familiar face, Luffy's consciousness slowly returned. However, this only made him more restless!
Struggling to remove the IV drip from his body, Luffy asked anxiously, "Ivankov, how long have I been out? Haven't we reached the Navy headquarters yet?"
Luffy's memory was still stuck on the journey to Marineford before he lost consciousness, and he didn't realize he had missed the Summit War!
Ivankov gently pushed Luffy back onto the bed and explained helplessly, "Calm down, Straw Hat. That war is over! We've already left Marineford!"
Luffy was stunned. The war is over? How did he not know?
"Ace! What about Ace?!"
Luffy quickly realized a more pressing concern: whether Ace was alive or dead!
"Yo, my foolish brother, are you looking for me?"
At that moment, a figure pushed open the cabin door and appeared before Luffy!
"Ace!!"
Luffy's heart let out a sigh of relief, but he could no longer contain his emotions. He tried to lunge at Ace, but Ivankov couldn't hold him back in time!
But instead, Luffy was met with Ace's massive fist!
With a 'bang,' Ace punched Luffy squarely in the face, sending him crashing back onto the bed, and scolded, "You idiot! You're still injured! Lie down!"
"Woo woo~~, it's so good! Ace, I'm so glad you're okay! Woo woo~~~"
Luffy didn't mind being beaten by Ace at all; in fact, he was even happier because of this familiar feeling!
"You idiot!" Ace's eyes were red, his body trembling slightly as he tried to hold back his emotions. But seeing Luffy's wounded yet untroubled face, he couldn't help but shout, "You idiot! Who told you to save me? Didn't we agree that we each have our own adventures?"
Luffy, crying and laughing at the same time, responded, "But you're my brother!"
"Stupid!"
Looking into Luffy's sincere eyes, Ace could no longer contain his emotions. He covered his face, tears streaming down uncontrollably.
"I'm really not a good brother. I've put you in so many dangers because of me, and I am also responsible for your broken leg."
The guilt Ace felt was overwhelming. He had lost too many people in this battle and had caused too much harm.
Luffy, still nonchalant, said, "You shouldn't feel guilty about my broken leg! I didn't break my leg because I saved you. I didn't know why I made that big red-nosed guy so mad that he broke it!"
Ace roared, "I know! But that guy saved me, so how can I seek revenge on him?"
Ace was deeply conflicted. Luffy had suffered greatly at the hands of Buggy, and his father had died because of Buggy. As an older brother and as a son, Ace felt he should seek revenge on Buggy.
But considering that Buggy had also saved him, Ace didn't know how to handle his feelings.
When Luffy heard this, he smiled and said, "So he saved you? Then he must be a good person after all!"
