Chapter 122 No more relenting
Chris's point of view....
When Gina left the room I knew instantly that I have to go back to South. She meeting me here will delay me and I don't want that happening. I thanked heavens when she left her bedroom.
I am grateful that she is okay and I kind of have a clue on what might have cause her fever. It has to do with me,no doubt about that.
The moment I got to South,I felt her link. I really don't know she was able to gain access to the mind link. it's either She was taught or she taught herself, which one ever,I am glad that she could use mind link as much as she can use the connection bond. It's a good escaping tools for her. With all these she have got,I believe she could handle herself even when we are not together.
Well I got to tell her that I left and I felt the disappointment in her voice,I did not blame her though. I wanted to spend time with her but as it is now,it's no time for pleasure.
I am damn worrying myself over her when we both know that I am the plug here, I have got to be careful because anything happening to me will affect her and I know very much that my uncle and his witch of a mother wants to get to the princess through me.
When I decided to come to South I knew the risk I was taking but that would not stop me from doing what I have to do. I can't just fold my hands and wait for the Lord to strike.
Immediately I got to my room at South I felt a presence and it was Redus.
"Any news Redus"
I asked with my back on him.
"Yes, Mom sends her regards"
He replied and I could not help but to smile. I have missed the old woman. When all these is over,Gina and I will pay her a visit.
"Hope she is good?"
I asked
"Yes she is...Your highness,the witch is on your look out."
He said and I smiled. I thought as much, Glamorous I know would not fold her hands and watch woe to befall her and her damned son.
"Let her bring her ethics, we will be waiting for her."
I said with a straight face.
" Yes your highness"
Redus said and by the tune of his voice,I knew he bowed.
"And again,I hope things are going according to our plan"
I asked
"Yes it is,we will wait for them to strike and then boom"
He said as a matter of fact. I like the sound of that.
"Okay, then see you soon"
I said and he disappeared.
"Hmmm...No more relenting"
I step out of the room and went in search of my Uncle. I passed the corridor and came across the my parents room. I thought of going in to check the room but decided against it. I will come back for it.
I strolled to the throne room to meet my Uncle with some men. They were in deep discussion when I came into the throne room but as soon as they felt my presence,they all kept shut.
Some had shock expressions on their face and some were expressionless. My Uncle had a look of disdain on his face and I was less bothered. He must be a joker to think that I will let him hold onto what is mine. It has been his for century now.
"I was not expecting you here my dear Nephew"
My Uncle said and smirked and I smirked as well,two can play the game.
"Oh my dear sweet Uncle,I was so bored and I decided to come see you but it looks as if you are busy."
I said and glared at him and chuckled,
"You having a meeting without your dear nephew?what happens to family comes first. You should at least be the one to guide me in everything concerning the affairs of the country so that when I take up the throne,I will not be lost on what to do or don't you think so?"
I loved the expressions that played on every of their faces. My uncle had the most shock expression I have seen and that gladdens my heart. What was he thinking?.
I looked from one person to another and glared at them.
"Since you have decided to have a meeting behind my back I think it's time I declared it close,you all should go home to your families.The country is not safe at the moment"
I said and my uncle flared up in anger.
"How dare you Christamos?"
He barked and I chuckled,I don't really care anymore.
"How dare me?....no no no,that's a wrong phrase to use,it should have been don't dare me but you chose to ask how dare me?"
