Magic tattoos were a way for mages to enchant their own bodies and gain additional abilities.
Once a magic tattoo was attached to the body, it couldn't be changed for life. So, a magic tattoo that was suitable for one's future and could always be effective was very important. This was also why Beta hadn't done a magic tattoo on himself. Since he was already a Legendary expert in the game, he wasn't interested in regular magic tattoos anymore.
But if it was an illusion magic tattoo with a trace of godhood, it would be very meaningful.
After all, magic tattoos could become more effective as the holder became stronger, but if it was a magic tattoo with a good foundation at the beginning, the effect of growth would be better.
"You want to give that divine creature named … Shirley to me?" The woman looked at Beta mockingly.
Betta, on the other hand, chuckled. "How is that possible? I do know a place with a divine body without an owner …"
The woman narrowed her eyes. "Are you kidding? If there's such a divine body, how can I not know about it? "
"How would you know?" Beta smiled and then asked, "What's your name?"
The woman hesitated for a moment, but still answered, "Pamela … Do you really know where there's an ownerless divine body?"
"Yes, and a woman." Beta chuckled. "Also beautiful and powerful enough."
Pamela narrowed her eyes. "Is it really that good?"
She looked rather tempted, but she still didn't believe it.
Beta, on the other hand, felt that it was quite possible. Deep down, he was very interested in this illusion because it was very real … He had tried it just now and was absolutely sure of that. Also, the consciousness of the subject of this illusion had godhood. Once it became his magic tattoo, it would at least increase his combat ability a lot. It would be an additional attack method.
Also, a subject of illusion consciousness with godhood … would have limitless growth in the future.
"It's up to you whether you believe it or not!" Looking at her, Beta recited the forbidden spell again. "If you believe it, come with me now. If you don't, you'll know the consequences."
A powerful forbidden spell. Although it was only an illusion, it was enough to destroy an illusion. Pamela's expression was calm, but when she saw that Beta's chanting was getting faster and faster and the fake magic waves were getting stronger, her expression quickly changed. "Stop. I promise you."
Beta looked at Pamela, who had an unwilling expression, and chuckled.
Then, in front of him was a distorted image that was like a black hole. Less than two seconds later, when he came out of the illusion, he saw the old man in black and the woman in purple lying on the ground. He slept on Shirley's soft thighs.
"Are you awake?" Shirley asked gently.
Beta sat up and looked around, feeling extremely fortunate in his heart. Thankfully, Shirley was there to protect him. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to fight back at all if he was attacked while he was in the illusion.
That was why players liked to have one or two good party friends in the game. Beta had his cousin Schuck and the other members of 6 to help him, so he barely took any detours in the game and grew up smoothly. Although there were a few thrilling difficulties, with the help of his friends, he was able to "lie down" and stride without any danger.
But now, he had Shirley, Jessica, Kail, and the others by his side. Although they weren't as powerful as the other 6, they were still a rare help in this world.
Besides, everybody could grow. Back in the game, they had also grown from rookies into giants.
Looking at the two people on the ground, Beta asked, "Did you kill them both?"
Shirley shook her head. "The old man's eyes were too disgusting. But I know you need a confession and intelligence. "
How considerate. Beta secretly complimented her. Then, Shirley woke up the woman on the ground with magic.
The woman woke up and stretched lazily. Then, she suddenly froze and her whole body stiffened. She had slept so soundly just now that she subconsciously thought that she had woken up as usual. It was not until she saw Shirley and Beta that she remembered that they were enemies and that she had been knocked out just now.
However, it also proved how powerful Shirley's mental spells were.
"Who are you?" Because of the battle just now, the few purple veils on the woman's body had been moved away. Now, she was fully exposed. Everybody could see what they should and shouldn't see. She didn't care about her 'little abnormality'. Perhaps it was nothing to someone with a Pantheon. "You should know that there is a Pantheon here. You are going against a Pantheon."
With a mocking smile, Beta said, "You were planning to kill us just now, and you're asking who we are in fear?"
The woman was stunned. "You're the people that the goddess is looking for?"
"Goddess?" Beta keenly noticed the keywords in the woman's words. "Tell me what's going on in detail. If you do, I might consider letting you go. "
The woman chuckled in disdain. "I'm the bishop of the Church of Love. The goddess I'm talking about is naturally the honorable Goddess of Love. You'd better let me go now, or you'll all die when the goddess unleashes her divine punishment. "
"Gods are indeed honorable." Betta nodded. "But the Goddess of Love is only a weak god, and she's not good at fighting. If she dares to descend from heaven, I'd like to fight her. Chances are that I can dig out a piece of godhood from her."
To a certain extent, atheist players were greedy. In the game, they even dared to attack the Elven Forest and find trouble with the Elven Goddess, let alone the Goddess of Love, who was a Lesser God. The Elven Goddess's divine power was much stronger than the God of Love's.
If the Goddess of Love dared to descend from heaven, Beta would definitely have some bad ideas.
Hearing this, the female bishop looked as if she had seen a ghost. "How dare you disrespect a god?"
Shirley pursed her lips and smiled. Beta was a man who had even scratched Goddess Woking's chest and acted as if nothing had happened. Why would he care about a weak Goddess of Love?
Since the beginning of time, Betta was probably the only person in history who had blasphemed the body of a god with the body of a mortal.
Because they were atheists, be it Betta or the other players, they didn't have much worship for gods. They were just creatures that had reached a certain level of strength.
Ignoring the woman's surprise, Beta asked, "Where's the thing that you made me enter the spiritual illusion?"
"Hehe, why would I tell you?" The woman sneered, completely uncooperative.
Beta sighed and gestured to Shirley.
Shirley, who was already prepared, glared at the woman, and the latter's expression immediately became blank. There was no joy or sorrow, as if she had turned into a wooden statue.
This was one of the most effective forms of Soul Magic. For a person of Shirley's strength, even a simple mental invasion could cause massive damage to a person's mind and soul. After this woman was controlled by Shirley, even if she didn't die, she would definitely suffer some sort of mental damage.
Beta did not feel guilty at all. They were enemies to begin with. If they had fallen into the woman's hands, they might have suffered even more.
Looking at the blank woman, Beta asked, "What kind of tool is the spiritual illusion you used to control me, and where is it?"
"In the secret compartment on the right side of the cabinet," the woman muttered to herself. The woman mumbled to herself. Her vision was completely out of focus, as if she had lost her soul.
Beta followed the man's instructions and quickly got what he wanted from the hidden compartment.
It was a lifelike statue of the Goddess of Love that was carved out of some kind of white wood. On the statue, shallow purple magic stripes covered the surface of the statue like spider webs, forming an activated magic circle.
The magic circle had been activated, but there was no magic wave at all. No wonder Beta still fell for it even though he paid attention to possible traps when he came in … Thankfully, Beta's mental power and willpower were strong enough, or the consequences would've been unimaginable.
Shirley turned off the mental control and let the woman lie on the ground in a coma. She walked to Beta and observed the statue for a while. Then she said, "This statue seems to contain the air of divinity. I don't know if it's my illusion."
"It's not my illusion." Beta smiled at Shirley and said delightedly, "This is a permanent illusion spell, and a divine clone of the Goddess of Love is hidden in it."
"A divine clone?" Shirley was quite shocked. "Isn't that dangerous?"
"It's only her remaining consciousness," said Beta with a smile. "Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to get out of the illusion at all."
Then, Beta said to the statue, "I know you can sense what's going on outside. Now that I've found you, you should fulfill your promise, or I won't mind breaking you into pieces."
Two seconds later, the magic waves on the statue became obvious. Then, the magic stripes on the statue peeled off and wriggled to Beta's hand like worms. Then, they moved along his arm to Beta's chest and formed a purple magic circle.
Beta closed his eyes and connected his consciousness to the magic array, resonating with the waves of the magic array. This was to clear the messy magic aura and guide the magic array to integrate with his own mental power.
The so-called magic tattoo was not just a simple engraving of a magic array. It involved a lot of magical knowledge, and it had high requirements on the mental strength and mana control of the person being tattooed. Also, the more advanced the magic circle was, the more difficult it would be to resonate.
These were quite difficult tasks for most spellcasters, but for Beta, it was not too difficult.
