Killing the Phoenix

The bosses health decreased as the fight moved forward. The skills seemed to used only one time.

Next time it would use his final ability at 20% of its health.

The shards that missed Emile and Nimble Rod littered the ground creating more obstacles they need to avoid when moving around.

The boss seemed to use environment changing attacks allowed. First, it used ice to annoy them, then it summoned darts that littered the ground.

They lowered the health of the boss at a decreased pace since they had to avoid all the darts on the ground. Tripping on these darts would create major problems for them since it could spell instant death for them.

The Phoenix would attack them as they tried to get up from the ground. The ice would make it harder to get up.

Everything combined to cause instant death if then tripped while moving around. Emile and Nimble Rod were cautious while moving around and attacking the Phoenix.

The Phoenix reached 20% of the health.

It cast {World of Ice}.

Ice from the ground rose into the air. An increasing amount of ice was being created by the boss.

The cave shook as the Phoenix's power rose. Its blue tail glowed and fell off from the body. The tail exploded and created even more ice.

The ice covered the entire lake they were standing on. Even the water that existed underneath the ice layer became frozen.

Emile watched the Phoenix shriek. The ice vibrated intensely.

Emile felt they would take a lot of damage from these attacks. The ice exploded like landmines.

"Escape," Emile yelled out. He ran away and nearly slipped on the ice as he ran. The boss continued to shriek as the ice exploded in the surroundings. The ice from the previous skill wasn't to slow them down or to make them fall onto the ground, it was a set up for this attack.

Emile took damage from the explosions. He quickly realized that they couldn't run away. He used the skill {Corruption Zone} for the first time.

Emile blinded the Phoenix. Now, it couldn't target them with the ice explosions since it didn't know where they were standing. The skill would only work if the explosions happened near them.

The Phoenix exploded the ice hoping to hit them with each explosion. Emile felt the side effects of using the skill a few moments later.

The side effect was queasiness. Emile had the urge to vomit. Emile didn't know how the game could create such realistic settings.

"Continue to attack the... boss," Emile said in a weak voice while grabbing onto his stomach.

Nimble Rod continued to attack the Phoenix while the Corruption Zone was active. This fight was approaching the end as Nimble Rod attacked the Phoenix.

Nimble Rod couldn't get close to the boss since the skill would blind him. Emile was vomiting in the corner.

The queasiness disappeared after he vomited. Emile wiped his mouth before continuing to fight the boss.

The boss stopped shrieking and attempted to move around in the darkness. Emile shot fireballs att he boss that was walking around without a cause.

The boss fell after a few fireballs.

"We did it," Nimble Rod said with excitement as he saw the boss fall down.

"Yeap," Emile said as he held his stomach. These side effects were detrimental for Emile. During a battle, the side effects will cause him to lose.

Emile couldn't afford to use these skills unless he was sure of victory.

"Why hasn't the body disappeared," Nimble Rod said.

"That's weir-"

The Phoenix began to rise from the ground in its dead state. Elemental orbs flew from the cave and from outside of the cave. These elements entered the Phoenix.

It gave the loudest shriek out of all the previous shrieks that it did. Emile thought that the Phoenix was reborn and they would have to fight it again.

His prediction was wrong.

The phoenix coiled up like a snake, and it disappeared from their sight. All that was left behind was a small blue egg that floated down from the air.

The egg flew towards Emile.

[The blue egg wants to be your contract monster. Do you accept?]

Emile accepted. The egg gave a shake as if it was happy to become contracted, before landing in his arms.

[Quest: Hatching the Egg]

[Objective: Hatch the egg by surrounding it with ice-related objects]

[Difficulty: B]

[Comment: Oh, you got an egg. Maybe its a dog, maybe it's a dragon. How am I supposed to know? I'm only an AI.]

[Progress: Not Hatched]

[Reward: Ice Phoenix (Baby)]

The game gave him a quest on how to hatch the egg. This would become useful since Emile had no clue on how he would have hatched the egg.

"Woah, you got an egg!" Nimble Rod said with excitement.

"Yeah!" Emile exclaimed. He could have a chance to ride a Phoenix in the future and battle opponents with his Phoenix.

After the boss turned into an egg, loot fell from the sky and littered the ground.

The boss dropped 8 gold coins. They split the gold coins equally.

There were four pieces of equipment dropped by the Phoenix.

Emile picked up the skill book.

Skill Book: Snow Burst

A book that teaches the skill, Snow Burst.

{Snow Burst}

The user summons snow and combines them into a ball. The ball explodes into many small shards that each deal 10% of attack value. Shard amount varies depending on the users Spirit stat.

"I want this skill," Nimble Rod said.

Emile didn't have a reason to deny it, so Nimble Rod received Snow Burst.

The next item Emile picked up was a pair of boots.

Snowshow Boots

A pair of boots created to protect the user from the cold.

{Icy Explosion}

{Blue Nova}

An ultimate skill that will DESTROY the boots on activation. Creates a 100x100 icy storm. Deals 1000 damage per second. Lasts for 2 minutes.

Cooldown: 0 minutes

Since Nimble Rod got the last item, Emile got this pair of boots. Emile noticed how the word 'destroy' was highlighted to show the severity of the ultimate skill.

That skill was severely broken since it could any and all players. This was an easy way to kill any single boss he wanted.

It would deal a total of 120k damage to all enemies in his surroundings. There was no player in the entire game who could survive longer than three seconds in the ice storm.

This skill was meant for total destruction. Emile checked the other two items.
