100 Fighting Against a Phoenix

The cave had a small breeze flowing through it.

Emile didn't know where this breeze came from. The stalagmites were obstacles for them. They had to avoid each one since it took up lots of space.

There was a large hole with no stalagmites. This area was the pathway of the Phoenix to enter deeper into the caves. Emile and Nimble Rod walked deeper into the cave using this pathway.

The cave opened to a frozen lake. The Phoenix was resting on top of the lake. It had its eyes closed with its wing folded in.

Emile identified the Ice Phoenix.

Ice Phoenix (Young)

King Ranked Monster

Level: 15

Hp: 122,321/122,321

Atk: 420-456

MAtk: 380-418

Agility: 130

Skills: {Icy Breath} {Super Icy Breath} {Ice Zone} {Snow Burst} {World of Ice}

Weakness: Fire

"It has fire as its weakness," Emile said with excitement. The boss would become easier to fight due to fire infusion which added the fire element to his attacks.

The Phoenix woke up from Emile's voice. It gave a loud shriek before using its first skill. It used {Icy Breath} which blew out ice from its mouth.

They evaded the attack by running away from it. Emile launched his fireball at the boss. Emile's fireballs did around 400 damage per hit.

The boss charged towards Emile and attacked him with its claws. Emile took around 450 damage from the attack. The Phoenix knocked him back.

Emile used his fire gem on the boss which did 2,000 damage to the boss. He also used his Water Gem on the boss. The water gem healed the boss 1,000 health.

The water gem was useless during this battle. He could only use the fire gem which dealt a fixed amount of damage to the boss.

Nimble Rod could only charge forward and strike the boss with his sword. His abilities would be useless during this fight.

Nimble Rod continued to attack the boss while it focused on Emile. This enraged the boss and switched its target from Emile to Nimble Rod.

Nimble Rod took a lot of damage and the Phoenix pushed him back. If he didn't have a few rare items, then he would have died.

Nimble Rod drank a health potion and Emile took control of the battle one more. He used his fire infusion on his sword and attacked the boss with his new sword.

Emile dealt more damage to the Phoenix using his swords. His sword attacks dealt around 600 damage each which was a lot of damage in one strike.

The Phoenix used {Icy Breath} on them again. They ran around to the back of the Phoenix who was turning around slowly.

The Phoenix was faster than Emile. Nimble Rod was the slowest out of everyone in the cave. He didn't focus on speed and was more of an attacker.

His attacks always dealt more than 130 damage. These attacks weren't useful for dealing big chunks of damage, but in the long run, he could deal several thousand damages.

Emile didn't bring Severn along since he wanted to give him a break from his activities. He regretted not bringing him along since having an extra attacker was always nice.

Whenever the Phoenix cast {Icy Breath} they would go behind it and evade the attacks. They continued lowering the health.

The Phoenix reached 80% of its total health and activated {Super Icy Breath}.

It started to fly in the air and used the skill as it spun around.

Nimble Rod used a skill which summoned a wall from the ground. This skill came from one of the equipment that he received by killing the alligators and slaying the alligator king multiple times.

The skill functioned the same as Lily's earth walls except that it had a long cooldown. He placed the wall in front of them to protect themselves from the {Super Icy Breath} which was an unavoidable attack.

The wall became frozen. The wall broke down a few moments later. They took lots of damage from the Super Icy Breath.

Multiple damage indicators appeared in front of their faces. The attack ended a few moments later. Emile calculated how much damage the attack would have done if there wasn't an earth wall in front of him.

The attack would have dealt around 2,000 damage to them if they didn't have a way to stop the attack from reaching them. Luckily, Nimble Rod had the right skill and used it at the right time.

They continued to deal damage to the boss. Nimble Rod could only tank a single hit from the boss. Emile would drink the health potion to heal himself whenever he had low health. During this time Nimble Rod would take the boss's attention and take a hit from the boss.

After following this pattern multiple times in a row the bosses health reached 60%. It activated the skill {Icy Zone}.

Ice formed around them. The ice had the physics of normal ice where it was slippery to walk on. This was the only effect of the skill.

Emile couldn't run or he had a chance of slipping on the ice. Whenever he stopped moving, he would slide a bit of distance due to the ice keeping his momentum.

The fight became more annoying. They continued to battle the boss. The ice caused a bit of a problem at the beginning since Emile missed a few attacks due to sliding too far.

He wasted lots of energy when dodging the attacks.

Nimble Rod was also having a hard time, but he was using his water element to control the ice. The ice didn't affect him as severely as Emile since he had some understanding about the cold.

The fight continued with the boss using his icy breath to blow at them. Sometimes it used its claws to scratch them and deals damage to them.

Health Potions were vital for this boss fight. If they didn't have them, they would have died several times over.

The bosses health arrived at 40% when it used {Snow Burst}. Snow fell inside the cave. It was a magical sight.

The snow formed together, and the Phoenix screeched while expanding its wings.

The Phoenix compressed the snow into a snowball. It continued to compress it until the ball could fit in the palm of someone's hand.

It launched the snowball at Emile.

Before it could get too close to Emile, the snowball exploded. The snow shot out like small darts and launched at Emile and Nimble Rod.

Emile evaded from the large clusters of attacks and got hit by less densely paced shards. These shards dealt from 1 damage to 50 damage.

His perception and skill allowed him to only get around twenty times with these attacks. Nimble Rod used his skill that summoned a wall and blocked all the shards from hitting him.

They were separated, so he couldn't protect both of them. The fight continued.
