Seven hours later...
During the seven hours, Time Walker remembered an item he received long ago. This item was the Lightning Wand from the Great Chief Wizard.
Lightning Wand
A wand forged to cast lightning.
Rank: Rare
Level Requirement: 10
Spirit +22
Intelligence +12
MAtk: 22-31
Effect: Lightning spells cast through the wand are 50% faster.
Skill: {Lightning Bolt}
Casts a bolt of lightning that the user can launch; deals 150% magic damage.
He asked to add this to the list of skills they would activate. There were now seven elements to coordinate into this setup.
Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Lightning, Time, and Space.
Time Walker had to multi-task. He would shoot out his attack and use the lightning a second later.
Time passed as they continued failing. When Emile arrived at one space gem, he used it to teleport to Seraphyl and get more space gems. He didn't think that he would run out of space gems so swiftly.
He restocked 100 space gems. They continued doing the setup.
28 space gems later...
"Teleporting in 5 seconds," Emile said.
Time Walker summoned a steel ball.
The time element was the same thing as the steel element. They named the element time instead of steel due to the fact that time was stronger than steel.
Time Walker had bought a steel-based attack from the skill system. His spell was the first to release.
His spell took the longest to reach Emile. The other party members had a faster spell.
Time Walker counted to two seconds before Emile appeared, then cast his skill. It took two seconds for the spell to reach Emile.
The other activated their skill in that two-second time frame. Time Walker summoned lightning using the wands skill. Lightning was one of the fastest elements, so using this method of activation worked.
Scarlet Sunset launched her skill. The air element moved the fastest out of all the elements, so it made sense for her to launch the spell near the time.
In this scenario, the lightning moved faster since the wand made it 50% faster. Time Walker was the last person to release the spell.
The stars aligned.
Emile appeared in front of the party. The skills hit him as soon as teleported in.
[Would you like the class: Cosmic Elementalist]
Yes!
[Ding... Your class is the legendary class: Cosmic Elementalist]
[Skill tree is available]
"We did it!" Emile shouted. He was ecstatic.
"Yeah!" the party broke out into joy and laughter. They had sat here, using their skills. They even took a few breaks in between the gaps. Overall, an annoying time.
"That took way too long," Emile said.
"What class did you get," Flower Queen asked.
"I got the Cosmic Elementalist class." Emile.
"That's better than the other class that appeared," Scarlet Sunset said. On one attempt, five out of the seven attacks hit at the same time.
It gave the class: Elemental. Emile knew they hadn't reached their full potential. He received two more notifications for a class meaning they could improve.
"Check your skill tree," Flower Queen said.
Emile opened the Cosmic Elementalist skill tree. There were 7 branches on this skill tree. One branch for each element. Sometimes, the branches meet up and create fusion attacks.
One of these attacks was the Yin-Yang Blast. This attack was already learned, so Emile didn't need to waste resources on the skill.
The beginning of the skill tree was already unlocked for a player. He could cast the skills of the other elements.
The lightning skill summoned a bolt of lightning. Everything started off with a sphere or ball. The skills leveled up with newer shapes or different properties of the element.
For example, water had a sub-branch for ice. The fire had a sub-branch for blue flames which were hotter than the other colored flames.
Since Emile was on the level leaderboard the other players could tell that he received a class.
The class had a unique name that normal classes shouldn't have. They suspected that it was a hidden class.
Emile wasn't the first person to gain a class. Someone had received a class the previous day. That person's goal was to be the first person to get a class.
The system gave a world announcement for that person.
"All right, let's test out your class," Scarlet Sunset said.
"Can you do anything with time?" She asked.
Emile could summon the steel ball that Time Walker shot at him. It was strange to come in contact with another element.
These elements had very distinct properties. Emile's steel ball had a proficiency in the 40's. It was luck that allowed him to summon the steel ball.
They tested the other skills. He could summon them all with a 40% proficiency. The game had imparted him the knowledge to always summon the skill.
"All right. Now you can go about your business," Scarlet Sunset said.
"Let's hit level 10," Scarlet Sunset said the remaining party.
Time Walker joined in on the grinding. He wanted to increase their efficiency.
Lily went back to Seraphyl to continue her plans. Emile didn't know what she was doing.
Emile went back to White Star City. He wanted to visit the mayor and see what he had to offer. He had a reward, and he wanted it.
Emile felt relieved when the system notifications didn't bombard him with useless classes. He walked to the tower where the mayor worked.
He took the elevator to the mayor.
"You're late," the mayor said with annoyance.
"Sorry, I was busy yesterday," Emile said.
"Don't sweat it, I heard you completed the challenges that the Adventure Guild gave to you." the mayor said with a laugh.
"I did. And I got my class," Emile said with pride. His party worked hard to get the class.
"Ah... yes classes. My class is a Warrior. I used to fight, but I stopped to become a politician. Now... I'm stuck here, reading and writing documents. How I miss my younger days," the mayor said with a melancholic tone. He was reminiscing about the past.
"Do you enjoy this lifestyle?" Emile asked.
"Yes! I love helping people and making this land better for everyone. That requires lots of power which lead me on a journey. The journey ended with me being crowned as the mayor," he said.
"That's nice. Can I have the reward you promised me?" Emile asked. He didn't know when to bring up this topic.
"The item I wanted to give you yesterday is at my home," the mayor said.
"My work will finish in an hour, so could you wait until then," the mayor said.
"Sure," Emile replied.
A few moments later, the mayor kicked Emile out of his office.
Emile sat in the lounge and chose to wait for the mayor to finish his work.
Classes were off his mind ever since he got one. He was worried about the methods to grow stronger and understand his class.
The easiest way for him to grow stronger was to get new equipment. Other ways required luck or intense training.
Emile wanted to upgrade his Red Silver ring. He needed ten ancient gears to upgrade the item. He scanned the market for the ancient gears.
Emile couldn't find the ancient gears in the market. He needed to dig deeper into this mystery.
