Work in progress: Chapter undergoing editing
The free-falling came to a stop at last. I was now able to stand on my feet but had yet to open my eyes.
Partly, I was afraid of what I would see. There could be a humongous monster waiting for me. Or let's make that plural.
There could be several monsters lying wait for me to make the mistake of delving into its territory.
But then again, it was out of my control. Everything that was going on in my life right now was being orchestrated by someone who was sitting in power to do it. But if they expected me to sit and merely follow what they asked me to do, they were gravely mistaken.
I thought I had been rebelling enough. But it seems it's not quite enough, as I have been ignored for the last couple of days. Or maybe more than that.
I wasn't expecting any special visit or a random one like that, but their appearance any time right now would be a big help. However, I'm not really expecting that much anymore.
If they cut off ties, alright.
