3. Lucky

Asuna's POV...

I awkwardly smiled back and waved. Not all of my guild members were present though, the only people present excluding SILENT are Willow, KingKai and Deathnote.

"[So, only the four of them went to the dungeon?]" I thought and mentally made a surprised face. I looked at their appearance and was surprised to see all of them taller than me. Willow is a mage and she is also wearing white armor with white pants. Her weapon(staff) is brown. She is also wearing white gloves. She has medium black hair that reach her back and her eyes are also black.

This place looks like an entrance to a forest. Woods have been used to make something like a border to separate the city from the forest. Many people were going in and out of the forest. Some were in groups and some were solo. Almost all the people that would pass by would look at me. "[Weirdos]" I mentally said to myself.

"[Now that I think about it, they are all wearing the same outfit but with different weapon types.]���

"You look like quadruplets with the same color of your outfit" I told them smiling. Deathnote scratched the back of his neck. He has brown hair with brown eyes. He is using a Great Sword and his weapon has red markings on it. KingKai is the same height as Deathnote. He also has black hair with black eyes. He is using a blue Sword. "[Wait...how did I know their names. Is it because they chose the same class as in Blade and Soul?]" I looked at them for a long time and SILENT asked for the reason why I was quiet.

"Who are these...people?" I asked her.

"This is Willow, Deathnote and I am KingKai" The guy I know as KingKai introduced them including himself and all of them surprisingly was who I thought they were.

"Your hair is too long, how are you going to fight with it." Willow came to touch my hair and asked me.

I shrugged. "I will manage it" I assured them.

Willow also shrugged and decided to change the topic. They informed me about the area which has monsters that give much experience to level up. They each gave me some of their health potions and left to go do more dungeons. I jogged into the forest and headed to the location they gave me.

"Wow, I am really fast" I said to myself.

I did not see anything on my way, all what I saw were trees and and bushes. I reached the place faster because of my agility. I looked around but saw there was nothing that looks like a monster here. I did not know what to do to bring the monsters out so I sat down beside a tree and opened my character panel. I noticed that I was not having any equipment.

"I have to level up faster and get equipment so that I can become powerful" I said to myself and started laughing loudly.

I quickly crawled away from the tree when something that looks like a wolf jumped towards me drooling. I looked back to see it's teeth stuck to a tree. It is of the size of a horse. It looks like it was formed from the roots of a tree. Only the face and feet of the wolf is white.

Seeing it's teeth stuck in the tree gave me little time to escape so I got up very fast and quickly started running away from the monster. It started chasing me after removing it's teeth from the tree. "[This monster is not meant for newbies.]" I thought because of the speed at which it was chasing me with it's huge body.

I heard howling behind me and looked back to see three of them coming at me at high speed.

"Where did they all come from?" I cried out.

I continued running. A rope caught me by my leg and started dragging me backwards making me fall. I looked to see the source of the rope. It was from the root-like skin on one of the wolf. Two other ropes came around my leg from the other two wolves. They were standing still waiting for the rope to bring me towards them. "[They can not move?]" They could not move because of the rope from their skin.

I took out one of my short sword with my right hand and forced myself to sit down whilst being dragged towards the wolfs. I started cut the ropes with my sword but it was not cutting. I took out my other sword and {DOUBLE SLASH}. I successfully cut down the rope and used my {WATERBALL} skill to blast all three of them away. They were sent a far distance away from me but I could still see them. Their health decreased by only 5.

"Wow" I exclaimed.

I quickly got up and got ready to fight them although I do not know how to do it.

"Should I go towards them or I should use long range skills." I asked myself. I did not know what to do so I was just standing there looking at them.

They also got up and resumed their chase after me. I waited for them to near me so that I can use my {POWER ATTACK} skill to check if it will deal enough damage. They were almost near when I decided to use another skill. I opened my palm towards them and said {FIRE BALL}. A ball of fire appeared in my palm and I released it towards them. It hit one of them. The wolf got blasted away and it's health was reduced but this time the skill that I used caused a lot of damage on it. The health of the wolf that the fire hit is now 5,000 which is half of it's full health. I was surprised it did not die because the {FIREBALL} is supposed to deal 10,000 damage to targets.

"Are they using some kind of shield or what?" I said surprised..."even if they are using a shield, it should not block that much damage?."

The other wolves seeing their comrade knocked down made lots of root-like ropes come towards me from their body. I ducked and dashed towards the wolves. I did not have any problem with running because I was fit thanks to my regular training in my gym. I was thankful they could not move due to all the ropes around them.

I neared the three wolves which are unable to move and jumped on one of then. They started screaming which made the ropes come faster at me. I bent down backwards on the wolf and the ropes passed over me. I then got up and leaned towards the wolf's neck. I stabbed it's neck with both of my swords. The melee attack reduced only 1,00 of their health. I groaned and started to continuously stab it. The wolf's screaming died down and it turned into tiny purple cubes and disappeared.

"Ouch" I fell down after the wolf with it's rope disappeared and the other two wolves, one with full health and the one with the 5,000 health made their rope return back to them. I quickly rolled onto my back, got up and ran away to a nearby tree. I then turned to look at them. They both were running towards me with their mouth open. I put my weapon back to it's place and also started running towards them. They looked at me surprised which made me smirk at them.

I jumped into the air when I neared them and unsheathed my swords. The wolves looked up which gave me the chance to destroy their eyes. I dig my weapon into both of the eyes of the wolf with the 5,000 health. I landed safely behind them and looked back to see the now blind wolf stumbling but could not stop moving due to the speed at which it was moving. A tree in the way stopped the wolf's motion. The wolf laid there quiet unable to get up. The other wolf looked at it's companion with a somewhat scared expression on it's face. It faced me and growled.

"Damn, wolves also have fear of things" I said to myself smiling.

The wolf got annoyed seeing me smiling. I sheathed my sword and looked to see the wolf with the full health coming towards me. I put my hand up to my chin as if I was thinking of something. I moved a few centimeters to the right side when the wolf reached me with it's mouth open and it bit the tree with brute force. It almost destroyed the tree. It got it's teeth stuck in the tree and was trying to get it off. I moved towards it and held it's mouth to the tree. I removed my sword and stabbed it's eyes. It screamed loudly and fell down. I then put my sword back to it's place.

"Now I am standing here with two blind strong wolves" I exclaimed laughing loudly.

I dragged the wolf near me to where the other wolf is and put it there. I went back and opened both my palm towards them.

"I should deal with both of them at once" I assured myself.

{TORRENT} Water surrounded them like a tornado and there was small sharp things in the water that was cutting them. They turned into tiny purple cubes and disappeared.

I noticed what I did and started jumping up and down in joy.

"Easy, I thought they were powerful. I killed three powerful wolves all alone at level 1?" I said happily. A panel popped up in front of me with the topic NOTICE and the details saying: You have acquired a new skill.

I stopped jumping and pressed the notice. Another interface showed up. It showed the names and details of the skills: {PELT} and {GIANT KILL}. I read the information under the skills. The {PELT} gives me 4x my agility and the {GIANT KILL} gives me 4x my vitality.

"Only this, after all the three monsters I killed?" I asked myself..."well it doesn't matter."

Another notice popped up in front of me after I closed the skill's notice. It informed me that I have leveled up to level 7.

"Cool" I exclaimed and jumped once more into the air..."now I will be very fast and powerful"

I then checked my status to see any improvement. My skills have increased and I have gotten 60 status points. I put 30 points at agility, 20 points at strength and 10 points at vitality. I finished distributing the points and closed the panel. I saw something like a backpack at where I killed the two wolves. I went there and took the backpack. A notice popped up after I took the backpack.

It said: You have acquired a new item. I removed a ring from inside the backpack and the information about it showed up in front of me.

"[Anytime I level up, my skills and status points will increase by 5]" I thought while looking at my status.

"So if it increased 6 times by 5 then all increased 30 times." I closed the status panel and decided to go and fight more of them.

I moved deep into the forest. I started to run faster when I heavily fell down backwards. I carefully got up and searched for the source of my fall. I saw that my hair had got tangled up in the root of a tree. I groaned and got near the tree to remove my hair from it. I successfully got my hair out. I got up from the ground and continued my journey.

"I should do something about this hair" I slowed down when I saw a chest in front me.

"Lucky me" I smiled and decided to go and open it. I looked around when I was walking towards it to make sure it is not a trap. There was no one there so I walked over to the chest and opened it.

I was immediately lowered into the ground by a strange hand from the ground. I screamed and made a move to look around but could not due to the little space I had. My body was below the ground with only my head above the ground. I looked around for anything that can help me get out of the ground. There was nothing so I decided to log out of the game when a hand held my leg again and dragged me deeper into the earth.

I hissed when I hit the ground hard. I sat down and looked around to take in my surroundings.

"Is this a dungeon?" I asked myself.

I could not see well because there was nothing here to light up this place except small pieces of gems everywhere on the ground. The light from the gems only gleamed at only a small area.

The walls that had the light glowing on them were having claw marks as if there was a claw-like monster trying to do something.

I got up from my position and moved to touch the wall. An image of a skeleton sitting on a throne appeared in front of me. I internally screamed and quickly let go of the wall. The marks on the wall looked like it is directing something towards somewhere.

"Maybe the map will give me the name of this place." I whispered to myself.

I opened the map and truthfully, the name of this place has been written there. The name is: THE DEAD QUEEN'S LAIR.

I looked at it and blinked multiple times to see if I am not dreaming. I closed the map and hit my head lightly.

"Ouch" I felt the pain and assured myself I am not in hell nor am I dreaming. "[This is just a game]" I reassured myself.

I followed the marks on the wall. The gems on the ground lights up when I move to a dark area.

The marks led me to a large wooden gate. I pushed the gates open and walked inside looking around.

There were skulls all around the corners of the room. I griped my sword and carefully advanced. A skeleton on a throne like what I saw earlier came into view. I gaped at it surprised.

I scanned the area for any danger but there was none. I lessened the grip on my weapon and proceeded. The skeleton started to move when I reached a spitting distance to throne. I shrieked and receded a little away. The throne is made of bones from other skeletons.

"WELCOME, MY HUMBLE GUEST" The skeleton talked with a spine-chilling voice.

It started to get up from the throne. It made a crackling sound whilst moving from it's previous destination. It continued saying things about me being a guest, and that this place is a palace.

I looked around with disgust when she talked about this place being a palace.

"A place full of skulls can never be a palace." I murmured.

The skeleton stopped when it was a few inches away from the so called throne and skin started to form around it. The formation completed and I can now see a full body of a queen in front of me.

"Is this the Demon Queen?" I quietly asked myself and gripped my weapon tightly. "[I look like a protagonist with these weapons]" I thought smiling internally.

She lunged at me with claws from her hand.

3rd POV...

Asuna swiftly dodged and backed away from the queen. The queen regained her posture and started saying some things.

The queen started "I am...queen of death. Of pain... and suffering.

"Huh" Asuna said surprised.

The queen continued "I am... queen. A once upon queen. She who was terminated."

The queen stopped talking and looked to the ground. Asuna thought this was a chance to attack the queen. But the queen raised her head and started talking again when Asuna made an attempt to attack her.

"--Whoa!" Asuna backed away again.

"I am... queen of suffering" The queen continued saying..."She who resides among the dead. Making miracles and dreams... into destruction. I will destroy you, too" The queen completed.

"Are you sure you can?" Asuna said mockingly..."Let's knock some sense into you"

The queen stretched her hand towards Asuna and opened her palm. She fired balls of fire towards Asuna. Asuna tried to block the fire but was thrown back due to her low defence.

Asuna hit the wall behind her and immediately sprinted to the right to avoid the incoming balls of fire. She managed to evade all the the balls of fire and use {FIREBALL} to block the last fire ball from the queen.

"Nice!" Asuna exclaimed.

"Yikes, she angry" Asuna said after seeing the queen's now red eyes.

Asuna looked at the queen to take in her appearance.

The queen's face was white with her now red eyes. Her hair is black and it is stops below her waist. Her hair is made up of snakes, all dangling up and down as she moves.

"You know what? You would have resembled me if you were beautiful." Asuna mocked the queen more.

As if the queen heard what Asuna said, she started screaming, shaking the ground.

Asuna covered one of her ear and opened her right palm towards the queen.

{TORRENT}! Asuna shouted. The skill trapped the the queen into a water that looks like a tornado. The screaming stopped after the queen was trapped. The water was reducing the queen's health slowly.

Asuna then removed her hand from her ear.

"Interesting things are happening. I thought the bosses are supposed to be packed with deadly skills." Asuna whispered to herself.

The queen fired another balls of fire towards Asuna. Asuna used her {HEAL} skill and stood there to block the fire with her body.

"Let's see how this works." Asuna said after using the skill.

The balls hit Asuna and anytime her health goes low, she would use her {HEAL} skill to heal herself.

The queen got annoyed that her attacks are not having any better effect on Asuna so she stopped attacking and leaped towards Asuna. Asuna was thankful for that because her skill reached it's limit.

Asuna took out her swords to cut the queen in the air but the queen held both of her swords. Asuna looked straight into the queen's eyes and let go of her sword. She punched the queen but it had not effect on the queen.

"Oh, this is a game" Asuna assured herself.

{DOUBLE SLASH} Asuna attacked the queen multiple times with the same attack. She then used {FIREBALL} then {WIND CUTTER}. The queen left Asuna's weapon on the ground and she was standing there as if she was in pain.

Asuna, without her weapon, did not know what to do so she was waiting for the queen to attack. The queen was trying to do something but Asuna used {WINDCUTTER} to destroy her eyes.

The queen started screaming again. Asuna was about to cover her ears but noticed nothing is happening.

The snakes from the queen started to fall from her head. The snakes became large, even larger than the queen. There were three of them in front of Asuna.

Asuna looked at the snakes amazed. Asuna run towards her weapon. The snakes started spitting violet substances towards making her stop in her tracks. The violet substance hit her and reduced most of her health.

The queen was standing there chanting something.

"I think she is controlling the snakes. Is this poison?" Asuna questioned herself.

The snakes did not stop with the poison. Asuna was having trouble moving around because of the poison. One of her weapon disappeared because the poison touched it and melted it.

Asuna used her {TORRENT} skill to trap some of the poison and instead of the skill to become like water, it was violet due to the poison in it.

"I have to do something about this snakes" Asuna said..."But I have no health potions...Wait...I have some."

Asuna noticed she had a lot of health potions and took one out of her inventory to use it. She used the potion and began to plan her attack on the snakes.

Asuna started moving forward. She was using the potions because the snakes were not stopping with the poison.

A notice popped up with the topic:

SKILL

["Poison Resist - Moderate"]

Asuna looked at the notice with surprise and said to herself "So this is how it works huh? Maybe there will be more. One one way to find out."

Asuna retreated to her previous position. She used the potions again and again whilst the snakes are continuing with the poison.

Another notice popped up:

["Poison Resist - Moderate] advances to [Poison Resist - Strong]."

"I knew it has more to it" Asuna said happily..."the resist has increased so why am I still receiving damage from the poison"

Asuna continued with the potion and the snakes also continued with the poison. Asuna was getting tired of this and decided to stop when another notice popped up.

SKILL

"[Poison Resist - Strong] advances to [Poison Immunity].���

"This must be it, because if it isn't, I will destroy this game." Asuna said annoyed for standing there doing nothing.

The poison stopped reducing Asuna's health which made her happy that she has achieved something.

The snakes, noticing this stopped attacking.

"You only have this skill?" Asuna asked the snakes..."as if they can even hear me"

One of the snake came towards Asuna at high speed. Asuna thought the snake would hit her so she closed her eyes and brought her hand forward to block the snake but nothing happened.

Asuna opened her eyes to see she is standing on a soft thing. She looked around to see flesh everywhere.

"I'm in the snake?" Asuna blinked multiple times to see if she is not dreaming. "How am I going to even get out? Maybe I have to defeat it or something, but how?"

Asuna proceeded deeper into the snake trying to find any exit.

"[I am even surprised at how I am able to fight with this my long hair]" Asuna thought.

She walked deeper and deeper until she got bored of walking.

"I have to do something" Asuna stopped and started pulling the snake's flesh but nothing happened.

"Maybe I can bite it...eww...does it even taste good?" Asuna hesitated but decided to do it anyway.

Asuna bit the snake's flesh and was about to spit it out when she swallowed it. Asuna looked at the flesh with disgust. It tasted bad when she bit it.

Asuna tried to spit out the flesh multiple times but she swallows it anytime she bites it. The snake then disappeared and Asuna was brought in front of the queen. She quickly backed away from the queen.

Another notice popped up. Asuna whined after hearing the sound of the notice.

"This must be good" Asuna said.

SKILL

"Acquired [Hydra Eater].

[Poison Immunity] advances to [Hydra]."

Asuna started smiling after seeing the contents of the notice. "Finally, a better skill, I can now use all of the hydra's skills...hmm....hydra? I thought they were snakes�� Asuna said surprised.

After saying that, Asuna noticed that all the snakes are not there.

"So they were together" Asuna said.

Another notice popped up again:

LEVEL

"Level has increased to 17."

"Now let me deal with the queen" Asuna said smirking.

The queen got up and started with her fire balls again.

"Don't you have any other skills apart from this." Asuna shouted at the queen smiling.

The queen as if hearing what Asuna said, did not attack anymore. She said something and she started becoming nigger and bigger.

She became large like the snakes and turned to a whole different thing. There were tattoos all over her body that looks like a drawing. She also became muscular.

"That's how I like it, monster." Asuna said. "[Maybe if I eat her too, I will get her skills]" Asuna thought smirking.

The queen knelt down, took skulls from the ground and started throwing it towards Asuna. Asuna sprinted towards the queen, dodging the skulls as she moves forward.

Asuna evaded all the skulls and dashed towards her sword when she saw it.

"Where is the other one?"Asuna asked herself whilst looking for her other sword..."I will have to manage this one then."

The queen decided to attack Asuna herself. She tried to punch Asuna many times but she could not because of how fast Asuna was dodging her attacks.

Asuna used her new skill she got from the snakes {HYDRA}. Three violet snakes appeared above her head and held the queen down with their teeth.

"I have to make this quick." Asuna said and made her way towards the queen. She bit the queen's leg and tried to spit it out because it tasted bad but she swallowed it anyway.

Asuna noticed that the queen's health is reducing. She ate almost half of the queen's body and the queen disappeared.

"Why can't they make them taste good?"Asuna said disgusted..."and how is it even possible eat in a game."

Two shining chest appeared at where the queen was, one was violet and the other one was black.

Two notices popped up n front of Asuna.

"What again!" Asuna pressed the notice and read it's contents.

SKILL

"Acquired [Zombie Eater]."

"Huh...she was a zombie?...and...I...ate...a ZOMBIE?" Asuna pretended to be spitting something..."Disgusting" she said.

LEVEL

"Level has increased to 25"

"So they were two different bosses and I defeated them alone. The chests are also two so my guess is correct. I think this dungeon requires a team but I

completed it alone." Asuna walked over to the chest and opened the black one.

A notice popped up:

EQUIP AND ITEMS

"Acquired [Dark short sword] x2.

Acquired [Armor of the Dark Queen].

Acquired [Gold x5000].

Acquired [ Health Potions x20].

Acquired [Magic Potions x20].

Asuna read the contents of the armor. "It gets stronger and goes back to normal when it breaks." Was what was on the notice.

Asuna equipped the equipment and opened the character panel to check her outfit.

Her hair had become short and white. She was in a cloak and her skin had become pale. Her eye color also changed to green. She was wearing only a pant with something covering her breast.

"What is this?" Asuna said after checking the outfit.

"-But I like it because my hair has become short, and the cloak will cover most my body so it is okay."

Asuna closed the panel and opened the other chest.

EQUIP AND ITEMS

"Acquired [Venom short sword] x2.

Acquired [Armor of The Great Hydra].

Acquired [Gold] x4000.

Acquired [Health Potion] x20.

Acquired [Magic Potions] x20.

This one was a normal long sleeved uniform with a short skirt. It also had a cloak and her hair had also become short.

"Oh, a better one. This one also has a cloak. I will equip this one but I won't equip this weapon." Asuna equipped the outfit but did not change the weapon..."This weapon is scary" She said.

She did everything she needed to do including distributing her status points. She had 75 points to distribute. She put 20 at strength, 20 at agility and put 35 at vitality.

"[I have to increase my defence and strength.]" Asuna thought.

Asuna then left the dungeon. It took her sometime to find her way out because she did not come from the entrance.

Asuna saw a girl with a shield on the ground and animals were attacking her.

"Seriously" Asuna said and logged out of the game.
