Failing Paradise

After the female left, Liam took the time to observe the meal that was placed on the wooden table. It looked like veggies with little flesh for garnishing.

"What a meal!" Liam muttered to himself, turning to concentrate on the door. "Now I shall try it out."

Liam shut his eyes tight, trying to picture the door in his head. "A picture," he muttered, performing strange stances.

"Yes! I got it!" Liam exclaimed, working on getting that connection he was told about.

Creak

Hearing that sound, Liam smiled. "Keep it up!" Slowly he opened his eyes, sighting as the door opened to his will.

Liam didn't stop there and tried to close it back. Unlike the first time, he didn't need to shut his eyes as the door followed his will.

Liam repeated the activity for some minutes, before breathing out a sigh of relief. "At least I got the door under my control… I hope there is no other mechanism that was hidden from me."
