"Honey, I'm home."
Drio came out of my bedroom. "How'd it go?"
"Well, I didn't tell my mother that I'm a demon, we're both going to dinner tomorrow with her and Harry so you can be put through an inquisition, and she gave me this." I tossed the crucifix on the coffee table.
"She knows it's demons, not movie vampires, right?"
"I vant to suck your blood." I mock-jumped him, arms outstretched. "But no, I think she figures it's all the same. At least that's over."
"And it's just the two of us."
The tension rushed in to fill the space between us, thrumming so hard it was almost palpable. I squirmed, my clit throbbing. My nipples hardened in anticipation, my entire body flushed.
Our gazes snagged, so loaded that desire shimmered like heat between us.
"Hey, hunter?" I placed his hand on my heart. "Cuore mio. That's what I really wanted to whisper to you. Because you are. Always and forever." I sucked on my bottom lip. "Now, fuck me."
