Chapter 11 : Fourth Kazekage

Thunder Fruit's energy coursed through the body of the Fourth Raikage, granting him unprecedented strength.

Originally, his Lightning Style had already tempered his body to near-peak physical prowess, making further improvement a daunting task.

But now, his physical abilities have surged once more.

Soon after, his secretary approached.

"Fourth Raikage-sama, the upcoming Chunin Exam is to be held in Konoha, and the Third Hokage has extended an invitation for you to attend," the secretary conveyed, handing over a document.

"Absolutely not!" the Fourth Raikage firmly declined.

He held no interest in visiting Konoha. The relationship between the Cloud Shinobi Village and Konoha was strained, and he had no intention of sending elite Cloud Shinobi Genin to their territory. Ordinary Genin would suffice.

Once the secretary left, the Fourth Raikage entered the Golden List live broadcast room, hoping to chat with his father. However, he quickly realized that communication was disabled in the live broadcast room at this time.

He noticed that after concluding of the Taijutsu List, the live broadcast room had temporarily restricted communication until the next ranking update.

At this moment, the live broadcast room was completely closed, rendering any chat impossible.

In a forest not far from Konoha, Kabuto encountered Orochimaru.

"Master Orochimaru!" Kabuto greeted with utmost respect.

Orochimaru issued orders, "Kabuto, have you noticed that the Golden List live broadcast room can no longer communicate?"

"Yes, I have," replied Kabuto, adjusting his glasses and nodding.

Orochimaru smiled, "I thought our plan might be compromised, but it seems there's an opportunity. 

Originally, I planned to assassinate the Fourth Kazekage, assume his identity, and infiltrate Konoha. 

During the Chunin Exam, I would have had a chance to assassinate my beloved teacher, Sarutobi Hiruzen. 

However, with the Golden List live broadcast room active, even if we killed the Fourth Kazekage, he could still communicate, jeopardizing our plan."

"Lord Orochimaru, do you need my assistance in attacking the Fourth Kazekage?" Kabuto inquired.

"No, your assistance won't be necessary," Orochimaru responded. 

"You have your own task. I will take Kimimaro to eliminate the Fourth Kazekage. The two guards surrounding him are my spies and can weaken him significantly. Combined with Kimimaro's abilities, killing the Fourth Kazekage should be effortless."

"Then I offer my congratulations in advance to Orochimaru-sama," Kabuto conveyed.

Shortly after, Orochimaru vanished, and Kabuto discreetly returned to Konoha.

Meanwhile, the major Shinobi villages were preparing to send their Genin to Konoha for the Chunin Exam.

Time passed day by day.

Genin from various Shinobi villages had arrived in Konoha under the guidance of their Jōnin instructors.

In the other four Ninja villages, only the Kazekage from Sunagakure attended. Leaders from the other villages chose not to come, given the relatively unfriendly relations among the major Shinobi villages. 

Orochimaru estimated that during the final stage of the Chunin Exam, around the time of the second ranking list announcement, his plan would be in motion. 

Even if the live broadcast room were to reopen, it wouldn't hinder his progress.

Finally, the Chunin Exam reached its conclusion, with ten days having passed.

Inside the Golden List live room:

I was ambushed by two guards, whom I didn't suspect were Orochimaru's spies. They wounded me without my knowledge. 

Additionally, Orochimaru had a ninja with a unique bloodline limit, causing me even more trouble. 

In the end, combined with Orochimaru's preparations, he performed Impure World Reincarnation, resurrecting Konoha's First and Second Hokage, which led to my demise due to a lapse in judgment.]

[Terumi Mei: Why did Orochimaru target you? Did you have any enmity with him?]

[Fourth Kazekage: I had no known enmity with Orochimaru. It's baffling.]

[Fourth Raikage: I recall Impure World Reincarnation being a jutsu developed by the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama.]
