Kurogiri's First Move

After waking up from a few hours of sleep, Kurogiri felt refreshed and noticed that he had never felt hunger or thirst since he awakened in this world. He realized that this must be the effect of the Nomu cell combined with the other cells. The fusion of the cells made his body self-sustaining with just air. He deduced that this effect must extend to the Nomu as well, as they were made from his cells, which had characteristics of both.

Kurogiri looked towards the Nomu he created last night and noticed how it stood guard, as if it were ordered to do so. He realized that he needed to move quickly to establish a base of operations, since he was now in open conflict with Konoha.

Once he had his own place of operation, he could start building an information network, as strength without information would only lead to more problems. Kurogiri decided to attack the nearby ninja in the village to gain energy to create more quirks. He made three clones and had them use holograms to disguise their looks.

The clones left the cave and cautiously made their way through the forest. They used their search ability to avoid any ninja in the area. Upon reaching the small village, they separated to test their search quirk.

Kurogiri planned to ambush the ninja, steal their chakra, and make another Nomu. He used his hologram quirk to make a model of the village and marked the ninjas using search. His clone verified that all the ninjas were shown on the map.

Kurogiri determined that four ninjas were patrolling the village and waited for the right moment to strike. He checked his energy levels and realized he needed more to create another quirk. He decided to absorb the remaining energy and felt a slight increase in his overall energy.

As Kurogiri monitored the ninjas, the New Bingo Book made its way out of the underground ninja market. Many ninjas eagerly collected the new book to check for any changes or new bounties.

However, they were surprised to find an entry for a creature that called itself Kurogiri. The information described it as a 3-feet-tall creature with pitch-black skin, white hair, and red eyes, possessing multiple unknown abilities. Its known abilities included physical clones, wind release ninjutsu, fire release ninjutsu, and suspected abilities such as regeneration and enhanced strength.

The Bingo Book ranked Kurogiri as A-Rank and noted it had taken down a squad of six, including two special Jonin. The entry offered a bounty of ten million Ryo dead or twenty million Ryo alive, issued by Konoha.

The news of the creature Kurogiri's existence caused an uproar throughout the ninja world. Many major and minor villages had records and encounters with a similar creature from the past, particularly during the end of the warring states period. Some were relieved to hear of creature defeat at the hands of the First Hokage and Mito Uzumaki.

However, those who had survived the warring states period or had read about it from records were attentive to this new entry in the Bingo Book. The reaction of the villages varied, with some wanting to quickly destroy Kurogiri, while the Five Major Villages wanted to capture and study the creature.

The only thing they could agree on was that Kurogiri posed a significant danger and could not be allowed to grow or reach adulthood. The creature on record was only known to act as a mindless beast, rampaging across the continent. However, Kurogiri was different and intelligent, making it even scarier.

The thought of a mind behind that immense power, previously considered equivalent to that of a tailed beast, was terrifying. In the past, the creature had been driven off until its demise by the First Hokage and Mito Uzumaki.

However, in this new era, there was no God of Shinobi or Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki to defeat it, making its current existence a significant problem that needed to be stopped.

As Kurogiri monitored the ninjas in the small village, he experienced a sharp pain from his danger sense, despite sensing no one nearby. He decided not to underestimate his danger sense and thought about the potential threat while he rested.

As it had only been a day since he encountered Konoha's capture team and spoke with the Third Hokage, he concluded that Konoha must have shared his information, and his danger sense was warning him about the collective threat.

Kurogiri thought back to the Nomu that existed before and wondered how it would have fared in this world. He knew that the ROB was responsible for his setting and believed that the creator made Nomu a significant threat as well.

Kurogiri realized that from the information he had gathered on Nomu from the lab, people would likely associate him with it. Whether it was due to his ability or the fact that he had integrated Nomu cells into his body, he understood that this would make it difficult for him to move undetected.

However, instead of being upset, he found himself smiling at the thought of so many people coming after him. He felt like a Demon King with the entire world against him.

Entertaining that thought, he refocused on the ninjas and decided to draw them out towards him, taking the opportunity to test his Nomu combat efficiency. Since he didn't have much time to waste, this plan seemed to be the best option.

Kurogiri created three clones and instructed them to use holograms to change their appearance to look like the ninja guarding his cell. He then used his telepathy quirk to instruct Nomu to follow the clones who went out first. Kurogiri created three more clones to disguise themselves and follow the first group further behind. Once they neared the village, the first group of clones commanded the Nomu to wait and set fire to the nearby area. They then jumped into the trees while Kurogiri, who was sitting in the cave, used his search quirk to monitor the movement of the ninja from the village.

The first group of clones then commanded the Nomu to use the bulk body technique, which caused it to grow from six to nine feet in size. The clones surrounded the Nomu in a fighting position, preparing to attack it. As the four ninja from the small village rushed to the area, they saw what appeared to be Anbu and a nine-foot-tall black monster with tentacles near its arms. They recognized some features that were similar to Kurogiri from the new Bingo Book and immediately rushed to assist the Anbu. However, before they could, the clones quickly attacked and immobilized the three nearest people using black whip.

The second group of clones then joined and surrounded the last person, also using black whip to immobilize them before taking them back to the cave. This person seemed to be the leader of the other three and would make an excellent Nomu. Kurogiri smiled to himself, pleased with the play he had orchestrated.

Kurogiri had the clones holding the three ninja drain their chakra with All for One, leaving a tenth of their chakra behind to test his Nomu. After draining their chakra, they released the three ninja, and two of the clones dismissed. The last clone instructed Nomu with telepathy to attack the three ninja.

Nomu received the order and used its Dupli-arm to create several more hands, quickly pouncing on the three delirious ninja. Despite the ninja's attempts to dodge the attacks, they were unable to avoid them, and Nomu landed several brutal punches all over their bodies.

Kurogiri, seeing this through the clone, concluded that this wasn't the proper test he wanted and had the clone command Nomu to kill them and come back to the cave after burning the bodies.

Kurogiri turned his attention back to the cave and dismissed the hologram map, waiting for the clones to return. With some time on his hands, he decided to inspect the energy he had already collected from the three dead ninja.

Using his senses to detect his spiritual space, he observed enough energy for a medium-level quirk and one low-level quirk. Kurogiri was a little surprised at how little energy he had and could only attribute it to the fact that the three ninja did not have a lot of energy themselves and that not everyone's energy was equal at any level.

Kurogiri calculated that once he obtained the leader's energy, he would be able to create another medium-level quirk and potentially another low-level one, enough to make his second Nomu. Satisfied with how the events of the day had turned out so far, Kurogiri was pleased to see the return of the clones, bringing his new Nomu subject along with his previous Nomu. A wide smile spread across Kurogiri's face as he was slowly but surely moving forward towards his goal of becoming the Demon King.
