Chapter 39

Others tried casting water release Jutsus, but they ended up evaporating upon contact with something invisible. The fires soon reached the kunoichi who had warned their comrades engulfing them and turning them into char and ash. Eventually the waves collided in the centre of the camp turning into a large column of fire before dispersing spreading in different directions turning the charred corpses right into ash. The fires managed to reach the edges of the camp where they burnt a few trees before completely losing their momentum and dying down. Unfortunately, no one was present to witness the beautiful finale as the last of the shadow clones had already dispelled a few seconds ago after running out of chakra.

Yuu, at this point in time, was already nearing his hideout when he received memories of his shadow clones. Once seated within, he immediately reviewed the memories learning of the presence of a kunoichi who had been alerting her comrades of his attacks.

'There were likely even more but it doesn't matter as most should be dead by now unless they escaped through the river before my clones cast their jutsus.'

Yuu's jutsus had been so powerful that they had eradicated the river entirely hence any Hozuki that tried to flee through it was turned to vapour.

'The reinforcements must have arrived by now. Good thing I had the good sense to not participate in this attack. Now I should focus on becoming even stronger as the stronger I am, the more attacks I can perform and the longer I can stay hidden under genjutsu.'

Despite his current prowess Yuu was under no delusions of his superiority. After all compared to the Sage of six Paths, his brother, their mother Kaguya, the Otsutsukis, Madara, Obito, some of the Akatsuki members, some of the Kages and the future Naruto and Sasuke, he was nothing more than a slightly larger ant.

Sure, he could remain hidden from all of them with his Kurama clan Kekei Genkai however even that had its limits as he would soon run out of chakra. Also, there was the fact that there was a possibility that the sharingan and Byakugan were capable of seeing through his genjutsu. He had yet to test this but his instincts told him that he was probably right which means that he wouldn't be able to hide himself from the Sage of Six Paths and Kaguya Otsutsuki 'Six Path level powerhouses' basically meaning that even now his life was in constant danger and hence his desire to become stronger even faster.

With that depressing thought in mind, Yuu activated his power once more. With every power added during the Hozuki clan camp, Yuu had been subconsciously keeping count of the number.

4930.

That was the number of shinobi who had died in this recent attack.

11 were elite jonin.

495 jonin.

1600 chunin.

2824 genin.

It would have been higher had it not been for a kunoichi and possibly more warning some of the shinobi beforehand allowing some of them to escape death by fire.

So in total tonight's attacks has resulted in the death of 10,030 shinobi. This showed just how terrifying Yuu had become.

Yuu this time felt pain unlike anything he could ever imagine. After this wasn't one of those times where he absorbed the chakra of a dozen or two shinobi....this time he was absorbing the powers, experiences and memories of 10,030 shinobi. The pain he received was hundreds of times is usual dosage. Yuu almost went insane from the pain but the thought of becoming stronger kept him sane.

After seven minutes of horrendous torture, Yuu slowly sat upright, his face lit with a rare smile. Thus was because of the changes that had occurred to his body. First of all his chakra had increased so much. In fact his chakra had increased right past the mid, high and peak Kage level, broke right through to super Kage level finally stopping at mid super Kage level just a shy away from breaking through to high super Kage level.

Meanwhile his physique had advanced all the way to high Kage level.

If we were to make comparisons, his chakra quantity Was now equal to Naruto's sage nine-tailed chakra during the end parts of the 4th great shinobi war. Just slightly less than that of Hashirama Senju 'The God of Shinobi'.

His physique was slightly weaker than Tsunade's and the Raikage who happened to be the current strongest taijutsu users without using chakra, their very physiques standing at Peak Kage level. If they use their strength enhancing techniques and lightning armour technique respectively, their strength breaks through right to super Kage level.

This goes to show just how strong he had become. The reason his chakra had increased so much was because of the Hoshigaki clan members he had killed who possessed large amounts of chakra otherwise he might have only advanced to low super Kage, Peak of low at best.

His chakra and physique weren't the only things that had increased. His jutsu knowledge had increased by a lot. It now included various water style jutsus. He had also acquired the Kekei Genkai of the Hozuki and Hoshigaki which allowed his to liquefy enabling him to dodge all physical attacks and the ability to breathe underwater and adapt more to underwater pressure and cold temperatures.

Meanwhile in the main camp of that bloodline shinobi. A meeting could be seen going on in a large tent and judging by the 12 elite jonin standing guard outside, it could be seen that this was a high-level meeting. In the tent, 5 people could seen seated around the table.

Kurihara Kaguya – head of the Kaguya clan

Nomura Hozuki – head of the Hozuki clan

Asako Hoshigaki – head of the Hoshigaki clan

Kaneko Yuki – head of Yuki clan

Mei Terumi – head of the Terumi clan

These people were currently sitting quietly, the mood somber as they waited. Soon a shinobi wearing an eye patch on his right eye entered with a grim look on his face. 

"So, what's the news?" asked Shiro Terumi, an old man standing to the left of Mei Terumi, her father and the former patriarch of the clan.

Ao came forward "Not good. According to the reports two large camps, the Hoshigaki and the Hozuki, were attacked to an hour or so ago"

"We know that! Tell us something new!" shouted Asako Hoshigaki, his temper rising with each word. Learning of the complete eradication of a major of his forces had him boiling with rage ready to find and tear out the limbs of whoever did this.
