Before the red-haired girl could get the words past her lips, she tripped over a jutting-out root, nearly falling onto her posterior before her wrist was caught.
Jett, holding her wrist, helped her back to her feet, "Gotcha."
"Thanks," Cynthia said before brushing off her black, leather-strapped pants, seeming to be embarrassed by the fall.
The silver-haired man continued trudging through the forest, "Like I was saying, nothing scares me–yet. I'm just a beginner."
"Pff, sure, sure," Cynthia said, jogging past him as she led the way once more.
"Anyway, you sure you know where we're going? Seems like you're just winging it," Jett asked, not noticing a single kobold yet.
