Aroon didn't show any speck of weakness against them. His tactic was simple; he wanted to create a fuss about another matter.
Diversion; that was his plan. He didn't want to lie about his powers or speak the truth about it. Also he was just threatened and warned about speaking nonsense.
So his only option here was to divert all their attention towards a far more stressful matter.
"Big words coming from no one like you," the elder who stepped up to defend the federation said. And that made Aroon more wary of him.
"He isn't just a nobody," Sessile, who seemed to have a higher position than this elder as she sat closer to the center, said. "He is going to be my disciple!"
"This isn't decided yet," the elder said in a mocking tone, "he has first to answer our questions and prove himself to be of no threat to us."
