"Yeah, you are indeed an old man," Aroon shook his head. He didn't argue with the system as he knew these words were true.
"Then let me show him how badass I'm," Aroon accelerated and this time he went to the front. Once he got to a place far ahead of that mecha he stopped.
"Time to show off," he sneered before moving fast. He evaded any tentacles sent to him while cutting in half all of them.
Just as he kept fighting like a maniac for a couple of minutes, the mecha owner seemed to get convinced by his actions.
And finally he started to get near him.
"H- How can you d- do that?" The sound that came from the mecha was strangely soft and tender.
"You are a female?" Aroon couldn't help to ask the almost out of breath mecha owner.
"Have any i- issues with g- girls?" she asked back while pausing midway in her words to catch her breaths.
"I don't," he simply said, "but I'm impressed. A girl like you coming all the way here to fight all those monsters on her own… that's quite brave."
"It's foolishness," she said with much difficulty while leaning on her knees with her arms.
"Said the one who is foolish to do that," Aroon said before killing another couple of monsters.
"How can you do that?" she couldn't help but ask again. "I never saw a m- mecha in my life doing such a thing."
"Are you going to ask and not help?" Aroon evaded the answer, "if not then you should retreat off here. You don't belong here anyway."
"What gave me out?"
"Your suit," Aroon simply said before taking a full circle around her and killing all the monsters she failed to kill.
"Don't you have mechas here?" she pointed out to him and he was hit by her answer.
"Well… I'm different."
"Me too," she started to fire some explosives that made the entire area bloom with big clouds of fire and smoke like blossoming flowers in a garden.
"What makes you so?" he asked while trying to evade the spots she attacked, waiting until the fire died down.
"I'm… on a mission," she hesitated.
"A love quest?" he sneered while killing more monsters.
"I'm going to see a man if you were asking about that," she evaded directly answering the question.
"Your boyfriend, I get it… it's a love quest," Aroon said while killing a couple more monsters. "I changed my mind, you are much more foolish than I initially thought."
"Stop it," she shouted in fake anger, "I have no boyfriend."
"So you are ugly."
"A I'm not ugly, and B I'm here to see an old friend."
"Good for him," Aroon said, "or bad."
"Stop it!"
"As I can see he tried to run away from you all the way to such a forsaken place… yeah he loves you a lot. I can already see that."
"Humph," she started another wave of explosions that were so close to the spots he was fighting at.
"Stop it!"
"What?" she innocently asked.
"You are causing more problems than helping here!"
"What do you want me to do then?"
He gritted his teeth. "Just go back and secure the town. It should be an easy job for you, right?"
"Yeah you have an issue with girls," she said but she listened to his advice and moved fast towards the town.
"Girls," he couldn't help but shake his head, "all they can do is cause more trouble for us."
<Ding! Keep fighting> the system said, <Ding! You still have two thousand, six hundred and fifty-two monsters to kill>
"No sign of any hunter?"
<Ding! None yet>
"Good," Aroon glanced briefly at her back, "I bet she has a great body."
<Ding! Focus you moron!>
"I bet you were a party breaker old man when you were young," Aroon teased the system before returning to fully focus on killing monsters all around.
The monsters kept attacking Aroon with all they got, however he was already experienced in dealing with them.
No matter what angle they tried to come at him through, he was always ready to evade and cut their tentacles with his sword.
Then he would select the best monster to kill before jumping off to another one.
<Ding! Over two thousand monsters are running towards the town> the system suddenly said.
"I trust the fallens there will be able to handle them," Aroon said while keeping his focus over the large lot of monsters all around.
Right now he was the focus of thousands of monsters and he didn't have time to care about anything else.
<Ding! I'll keep you updated with the situation back there>
<Ding! The monsters are crushing the defenses the humans made at the borders of the town>
<Ding! The monsters are now in the deep parts of the town>
<Ding! Some fallens have died on the monsters' tentacles>
<Ding! Your sexy mecha is now cornered by monsters and constantly retreating>
"Can you stop it please?" Aroon couldn't take it any longer, "damn! You are like a blubbery mouth news anchor!"
<Ding! What's that supposed to mean?> the system innocently asked but Aroon felt he was lying.
"Anyway I've killed half of their numbers so far," he said before jumping over and evading a group of tentacles that tried to ambush him from the back, "but I still can't break free and go to save them."
<Ding! You mean her, right?>
"Whatever," Aroon smiled before killing more of the monsters, "I bet you are thinking of her in a bad way, dirty mind system."
<Ding! What I can accomplish with that?> the system laughed, <Ding! It's you who is thinking bad at her>
"I don't even know what she looks like," Aroon shrugged before jumping again, "let her be for now. I believe she couldn't travel all alone through this forsaken lost zone and couldn't even protect her life against some monsters."
The system stopped updating him with information until he finally cleared all the monsters around. This took him almost six hours to kill all the monsters, and only those special guards remained around the dungeon entrance.
<Ding! I have to warn you though, some of the hunters appeared at that last group of monsters>
