I opened my eyes. Where was I? Who was I? What am I?

Then the memories came rushing back. I sighed. My evolution must be complete. The evolution may look like a simple rest to the outsider, but in reality, I was going through all sorts of nightmares. Luckily, I had the system in my dreams. Unfortunately, I couldn't use it, and the only skill active was [calm] but it helped me from going insane.

I checked my notifications. 'Good, I have my Mana Vessels, which meant I could use magic. Daily Quests can help me gain exp... More skills are good too. What's this affinity the system is talking about?'

After laying in the same position for 24 hours, I needed to stretch. I stood up and immediately noticed the difference. My hind legs were longer, my body leaner, and my front paws nearly balanced out my legs. I had glossy silver-white fur. I felt full of power.

I stretched the best way I could, although I didn't think I did it right. Either way, I felt looser once I finished.

'That reminds me. Syn, you there?'

'Syn?'

{Yes.}

'Oookay.' Syn was oddly quiet. But oh well, can't let that bother me. I decided to check my new status.

I scrolled through my skills and titles. I decided to check out my titles (some of them were stupid) and look at some of my new skills.

Okay, those are my titles, nice to know. Then I checked my skills. The ones I got were [Humanoid Transformation][Tough Hide][Mana Detection][Partial Soul Absorption] and [Aura] I could guess what [Tough Hide][Mana Detection]and[Aura] could do, but I just had basic ideas of the remaining.

|•Humanoid Transformation: Transforms host partially into a human. The host will have some of their traits, but the host will stand on two legs and have skin. This is not permanent, it's just an illusion. It consumes stamina twice as fast and the host is much weaker in this form. Using Mana will cost double as well.

'I can see how this would be useful.'

|•Partial Soul Absorption: Usually used by necromancers or Crescent Hares. The host does not have to kill the subject to get the soul, although the soul will be damaged if the host doesn't kill it first. To use this, the host must have utter concentration, or they could risk letting the soul slip and making a ghost. The soul is a shadow figure. Absorbing the soul would give the host power and see some of its memories. However, the host cannot fully absorb the soul. When the soul is finally out, there will be three figures with the host. One is a giant hand with an eye on it pretending to be a god. The other is a deer skull with a black, gooey body pretending to be the devil. The third will be death itself. The host must not listen to any of them and just absorb the soul. Master soul-absorbers can do this process in a few seconds.

'That's a lot. Good to know. Alright then, my plan for today: input my stat points, and go and try my new body. For now, I won't look at my magic skills.'

I put most points in agility and dexterity and the last few in intelligence and five in strength. Being a jack of all trades doesn't help me, as in videogames, evenly spread out characters were doomed to fail. I stretched once again.
