Price of knowledge
Leo and Lara found themselves in a dimly lit, eerie chamber, the walls adorned with grotesque sculptures and eerie tapestries. The oppressive atmosphere seemed to thicken as the demon, a towering gargoyle-like figure, slowly unfurled its leathery wings. The air grew heavy, as though a vacuum had formed, sucking in all sound and light.
The demon's gaping maw opened wide, revealing a horrifying sight. Dark green hellfire roiled within its throat, casting eerie shadows across the room. Its eyes, previously a menacing crimson, transformed into a matching dark green hue, and beneath its ashen scales, dark green lights pulsed, illuminating the grotesque contours of its body.
As the tension reached its peak, a notification abruptly appeared in Leo's vision, projected by the system. It was a sub quest: "Defeat the Rank 1 Demonic Beast Immediately." The stakes couldn't have been higher.
