Stunned by the overwhelming presence of Hellion, Leo couldn't help but feel a mixture of awe and surprise. It had grown stronger during the few days he'd been unconscious, and he marveled at the extent of its newfound power. He couldn't deny that the Adventurer's Association had indeed taken excellent care of his totem while he was hospitalized. The bond between Leo and Hellion had deepened, and its strength had flourished in his absence.
Amid Leo's astonishment, his attention snapped back to the demonic gargoyle, which was far from defeated. The gargoyle's figure, initially forced into a retreat by Hellion's devastating shockwave, began to resist the power pressing against it. Its ashen scales seemed to harden, and its eyes blazed with a fierce, malevolent light.
