My Legendary Weapon Can Evolve Infinitely!

Our discord server: https://discord.gg/d9z3CCEXWw The past, the present, and the future will all be connected. Human society will learn how things were in the past when gods walked among men and monsters roamed freely. When Earth was finally connected to the multiverse, the entire world erupted into chaos! It was as though reality itself was contorting to accommodate countless versions of itself. Astonishingly, it began to expand, stretching its boundaries beyond imagination. At that time, Jason was recovering from the betrayal of his girlfriend cheating with her supposed best friend. He looked for solace by retreating to a serene lake for a weekend of fishing. Craving solitude to deal with his thoughts, he wanted some peace. But as soon as he stepped out of his car, the ground convulsed violently. Much to his surprise, a mysterious system had been activated, revealing portals to alternate dimensions. Suddenly, Jason found himself thrust into the depths of a dungeon, a valuable treasure chest right before him. Within that chest was the Infinite Dagger—a legendary weapon capable of infinite evolution! From a mere dagger to a formidable sword and even transforming into a bow—its potential knew no bounds! Jason was surprised at his unexpected fortune, yet he understood that obtaining such a treasure wouldn't be without risks. No, crossing this dungeon would be a stroll. He stood at its precipice, facing a boss—a towering, purple-hued Colossus that looked like it came out of a fantasy world. To add insult to injury, he would need to get rid of the boss's minions. The real question remained: How could he, at level one, defeat the dungeon's boss?

Chapter 13 - Price

Jason spent the rest of the afternoon moving around the camp and decreasing the number of the gray giants. While he got some levels, he didn't obtain much results in actually decreasing their numbers since every five minutes, ten of them would leave the dungeon, and every lap around their camp would take half an hour, and he could only kill around thirty of them.

"I guess this is the price of being careful…" Jason thought as the sun set and he checked his progress that day.

Since he tried to avoid being discovered by the main group, Jason ended up focusing on using the bow and only killed a few of the enemies with the claw. The Weapon was only halfway through its mastering process…

"Anyway, I should hunt them through the night as much as possible and level up as much as I can… maybe I shouldn't go for the boss as soon as I finish with them and just keep grinding here until it becomes a waste of time," Jason thought. "Still, I am starving… and I am thirsty as well. I need to find a source of food and water for that to be possible."

Keeping track of his goals was getting hard, so Jason took some time to calm down and organize them. Getting stronger by leveling up, finding other items like his infinite Weapon, finding food and water, defeating the dungeon boss, and then finding his hometown. Half of them went against each other, but the principal ones were obvious.

When Jason checked the camp again, he was left speechless. Walls that were around two hundred meters long and wide had already been enveloped in the enemy's camp. They also set several campfires around their base so they could keep their eyes open for possible enemies. They looked as stupid as the trolls, but their boss was doing a good job giving them orders.

"Fighting an enemy like that will be hard, but I don't have time to have second thoughts," Jason thought.

While he was approaching the enemy's camp, Jason wondered if their master was building such a base in order to defend it from humans… humans would be too busy with their own survival to worry about attacking any monster. Unless they start to nuke everything. Jason thought that it was unlikely, though. Since everything changed and expanded. He could easily imagine most military bases being split in two in that mess and the halves being dozens of kilometers apart from each other.

Eventually, Jason reached a point where the light of the campfires and torches reached him, and since guards were ten meters away from each other and checking the surroundings at all times, he couldn't approach anymore. Still, he was sixty meters away from them, and he had plenty of experience shooting in that distance… At the same time, he leveled up. He had points to increase his power to increase firing distance and power and dexterity to increase his precision.

Still, when Jason summoned the first Mana Arrow, he realized that he had a problem. The Mana Arrows were almost like flashlights in the darkness. They didn't emit as much light. Still, it was enough to alert the gray giants.

"I guess it wouldn't make sense if it were too easy," Jason thought while hiding the first arrow on his back.

Jason had another idea and then retreated. He returned to the area where he had left the corpses and began to pull some of them toward the enemy's fortress, using them as a barricade to hide his mana arrows.

Jason would have to aim before nocking the arrow to make things work as better as possible. That seemed insane, but he just needed to have some imagination and focus.

"It is just like fishing. See where you want the tackle to land and then make the motion necessary to reach the same spot," Jason thought while imagining the motions he does when he knocks and fires the arrows. If only I could learn how to fight using a fishing pole, and that was a viable weapon. There must be some crazy Japanese kid who uses that as a weapon, but copying them would be insane."

Jason stopped wasting time with those thoughts and then began to focus. He imagined himself shooting several times until he got sick of it. Then he suddenly summoned a mana arrow and nocked in less than half a second. During that time, one monster saw it, but it only lasted for a moment, and the creature thought that it was a firefly… until an arrow flew and pierced its head.

The monster fell backward, with its back on the ground. While the creatures around looked in the direction the sound came from, Jason began to fire his arrows in quick succession. While the enemies were busy looking at the corpse, Jason added more of them to the list…
