My Legendary Weapon Can Evolve Infinitely!

Our discord server: https://discord.gg/d9z3CCEXWw The past, the present, and the future will all be connected. Human society will learn how things were in the past when gods walked among men and monsters roamed freely. When Earth was finally connected to the multiverse, the entire world erupted into chaos! It was as though reality itself was contorting to accommodate countless versions of itself. Astonishingly, it began to expand, stretching its boundaries beyond imagination. At that time, Jason was recovering from the betrayal of his girlfriend cheating with her supposed best friend. He looked for solace by retreating to a serene lake for a weekend of fishing. Craving solitude to deal with his thoughts, he wanted some peace. But as soon as he stepped out of his car, the ground convulsed violently. Much to his surprise, a mysterious system had been activated, revealing portals to alternate dimensions. Suddenly, Jason found himself thrust into the depths of a dungeon, a valuable treasure chest right before him. Within that chest was the Infinite Dagger—a legendary weapon capable of infinite evolution! From a mere dagger to a formidable sword and even transforming into a bow—its potential knew no bounds! Jason was surprised at his unexpected fortune, yet he understood that obtaining such a treasure wouldn't be without risks. No, crossing this dungeon would be a stroll. He stood at its precipice, facing a boss—a towering, purple-hued Colossus that looked like it came out of a fantasy world. To add insult to injury, he would need to get rid of the boss's minions. The real question remained: How could he, at level one, defeat the dungeon's boss?

Chapter 14 - Speed Boost

The monsters grunted when they realized that they were under attack. Soon, they hid behind the walls and began to prepare to leave the area and attack the enemies. Unfortunately for them, Jason had killed the monsters that noticed where the attacks came from.

They jumped the walls and then looked around, waiting for the enemies to attack them, but nothing happened. Their numbers were massive… almost one thousand of them were waiting for the enemies to come and attack. They also began to check the area with torches in their hands. Still, they found nothing… only the corpses of some of their allies who apparently had been killed several hours ago.

While the monsters were investigating the bodies for clues, Jason walked around their base and reached the other side. That side was completely unprotected, so he smirked when he jumped on the wall and then summoned some Mana Arrows.

"Shitheads…" Jason smirked and then shot the campfire.

The whole base began to get dark as the campfires exploded, and their flames began to vanish. The monsters panicked when that happened… The ones with the torches had left the place, and while they returned as fast as possible, the damage was already done when they returned. The wood, the ashes… nothing could be reused to ignite the flames again. They would have to search in the darkness for more of it.

As if things weren't troublesome enough for them, all of a sudden, the monsters with torches began to fall dead on the ground. They tried to find the direction the attack came from, but they failed. Some torches were recovered, while others stopped working. When that happened, more of them began to be killed. The monsters and their master had no idea what was going on.

(For being the first human to find this dungeon, your title Explorer reached the next rank (E). You have been rewarded with the skill Speed Boost (E))

Jason ignored that notification and focused on killing the enemies in the area. Thanks to his high Perception, he could see things outside almost like it was day. He was already inside the dungeon, and now and then, he would leave and kill the monsters. That was the perfect method since they didn't think he was crazy enough to do something like that… to put himself between their base and the dungeon boss.

"While things are working now, I am not sure if it will work forever… the dungeon boss could understand what happened when the next group of monsters try to leave the dungeon since I will have to kill them," Jason thought.

That will be the final test, but Jason was ready for it. Besides, it was better than taking his damn time trying to ambush the enemies throughout the night. Decreasing the directions that they would come from would make his job a lot easier.

In any case, Jason kept attacking the beasts as much as possible before the next group of enemies could come, and he ended up killing almost one hundred when he decided to stop. The monsters coming from the interior of the dungeon should have shown up a long time ago.

"I need to investigate this, but I could also make good use of this opportunity. The other boss didn't do anything similar…, and then again, I didn't fight it at night," Jason furrowed his eyebrows. Their behavior might change at night, or they are doing other things."

If he were in their place, Jason would summon some of those gray giants to work as guards for the boss. That tribe of monsters was at least that cautious, so he expected that much from them.

"Anyway, I will deal with them once they show up… and if their numbers are too much, I will just run for it," Jason thought.

Jason resumed hunting and began killing the gray giants with arrows in their throats. The enemies ran around and searched every single spot on the camp, but they never found Jason since they didn't look for the right place… Still, their behavior changed when around four hundred of them had been slain. They began to head to the cave to look for shelter…

"Well, in conclusion, I am fucked…" Jason thought while smiling.

Jason got a bit ahead of himself, but he wasn't stupid. Killing six hundred of those enemies without moving was impossible. Even if he did some kiting and ran while attacking, he would reach the boss's chamber before he killed all of the enemies. Even if he could fight them without both of those scenarios, he would be bound to run out of mana.

"No… I still have one option," Jason thought while clenching his bow tightly.

Speed Boost (E): when killing an enemy at close range, you gain a boost of one hundred percent of speed that lasts for a second.

Jason ignored that skill at first since it didn't agree well with his current fighting style, but he didn't have much of a choice now. In any case, when the enemies with the final torches began to lead the retreat, Jason killed them with arrows on their heads and then destroyed their torches as well with Mana Arrows. The enemies finally could tell where he was, but the area was completely dark… The hunting has begun.
