CHAPTER 3 IT'S NOTHING

After the toast it was time to exchange the rings and as Lucian put the diamond ring on my finger my heart began to beat really fast. "Don't worry, I'm here for you" Lucian said as he looked into my eyes. I gave him a fake smile and immediately put the ring on his finger.

The party was finally over and Lucian took me to my room. My room was ENORMOUS!! It was like 3 gigantic rooms in one. The bed was wide and soft and very comfortable as well. "Do you like it?" Lucian asked "I love it" I as I cuddled the pillows "I love it when you're happy" Lucian said and we began to look into each other's eyes. I broke the moment as I turned my face"Goodnight" I said as I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes. "I'll be upstairs if you need anything" Lucian said as he closed the door on his way out.

It was already midnight and I was unable to sleep. I was going to get married to Lucian in the next four days. What was going to happen after that? Were we going to sleep on the same bed? The thought of that gave me butterflies. I wasn't going to share a bed with a man I never loved was i? I was thinking about that when I heard something fall. "THUD!!!" was the sound I heard again and it was as if it was a person that fell, not a thing. I quickly got off my bed and ran to Lucian's room upstairs but the door was locked. It was always locked. I then heard Lucian groan in pain and it made me even more worried. "Lucian please open the door" I said as I knocked on the door continuously and after sometime the room became quiet. "Hello? Lucian are you in there?" I asked but there was no responded. It was as if no one was inside the room. I ran outside the castle and saw that his window was open. Did he jumped off the window? Why didn't he use the door? Where was he going to that he had to sneak out? I really wanted to go after him but I felt really sleepy "I'll ask him tomorrow" I said as I went inside the castle to sleep.

The next day I woke up and had a shower then I got dressed in a purple long off shouldered dress, black heels and then I tied my hair and it went flowing down my back. I went outside to collect the newspapers and as I looked at them my face immediately turned pale and then I remembered that Lucian had gone out yesterday and I ran up to his room and knocked on the door and then he opened it slowly "What is it??" Lucian asked. "Lucian I just read the newspapers and 20 people were killed and the worst part of all is that they weren't stabbed to death or shot, they were eaten alive by a demon that no one has been able to find and it says that the demon has been tormenting the Kingdom for years. You went out yesterday and I wanted to know if anything happened to you" I said. Just then I gasped in shock as soon as I saw a wound on Lucian's arm "What happened to you?" I asked as I grabbed his arm "Nothing happened" Lucian said and I looked him in the eye and gave him a straight face "You jumped through your window last night. Where did you go to?" I asked "I...I just-" "Tell me the truth Lucian. What is going?" I snapped "It's nothing" Lucian said as he removed his arm from my hand, went back into his room and locked the door.
