Chapter 7: Level 6 Mutant

Eri made his way through the streets something felt off about it. Very recognizable and somewhat giving him a strange feeling.

It had been an hour after he left the store and into the debris he would call town. The buildings were all torn up some cars flipped, dust and bodies filling almost everywhere and all to a significant breakthrough, he recognized this disaster.

'This is like those apocalyptic games I played as a kid.... I do not mean those games were fun, very scary and carved into my dreams as nightmares.'

Eri quickly thought through all the streets, if he were to encounter any mutant he would have a narrow chance of escape at this point. However his newly gained strength and speed would aid his escape.

Walking closely to every car and pole as a strategy to sight his enemies first before they saw him, Eri clenched hard to his Knife's handle.

Foolishly he dropped one of the horror knife he gained from the doll back at the store, there was no going back anymore. Not just because of the length of the way, but the traumatic experience.

'Makes me as stupid as those guys in movies that take a lot of guns and end up using a single pistol.'

It didn't take long before Eri spotted an abnormally down the street, two zombies. Having overgrown heads and long hands, the rest of their body parts were deformed but they looked damn scary.

'I can't imagine night in this city while being chased by this beasts!' Eri grinded his teeth mustering his courage as he dropped his bag and ran out of his hiding place.

Instantly he was noticed by the two zombies running at him quickly with hands streched to grab.

He reached the first leaping and kneeing it hard to the skull, the attack sent it staggering a bit until crashing on the side of a pummeled car.

This gave Eri enough time to put his attention on the other. He sidestepped as it forwarded it's hands to grab Eri from behind.

Eri swings around sharply ramming the sharp end of his knife into the Zombie's skull. It gave a brief growl before collapsing to a death sleep. The other zombie grabbed Eri from behind tightly ready to sink it's fangs into his neck.

As soon as he noticed this he jerked his head back and slammed it into the Zombie's face dazing it. Blood spilled from the Zombie's nostrils drenching everything and Eri reacted immediately stabbing it in the skull killing it immediately.

'Damn! For a second I thought I would have been bitten.'

Eri drawed a long breath and navigated around him. Something in his spine sharply jolted him, like a sense that told him 'Something is coming.'

The feeling was new and kept him occupied for a minute before he actually regained himself and attempted a flee, however that was when It all happened.

*BOOOOOM*

A building at the far end right broke into pieces with a large dog like mutant bursting through.

The sight of it got Eri a bit woozy in the head wondering 'Who the hell fed that thing?.'

The mutant dog was three times larger than any dog, the size of several typical grown up man, having saliva pump from it's opened maws, large bloodthirsty fangs, eight red eyes that made the soul of any tht stared it's eyes quiver, it was surely a mutant as it's body carried many scars and worst of all....

'it's a pitbull Mutant.'

Those that knew what this Mutant dog brutality rate would have left their body behind and ran to the clouds.

'If this was any dog I would have fought or ran, but this one is particularly one of my nightmare playlist.'

Eri remembered the warning adults gave to kids, 'do not run or the dog will chase you! Are they fucking insane?'

Without any further thoughts Eri had already turned away to run with all his strength not giving a sight to the dog any longer.

*Paw! Paw! Paw*

With three mighty leaps from this mutant it was already upon Eri throwing it's paw down to his skull.

Thanks to his newly gained speed Eri was able to barely dodge the attack and the claws tore a huge hole into the ground sending pillars of dust into the air.

Eri got a bit more agitated at this, 'just with three jumps and it's beside me! I am dead! Running is no longer useful I have to fight....'

The mutant dog's eight eyes all at once found Eri shooting another stream of fear into his heart.

After this hologram appeared Eri tightened his grip on his knife's handle, he hadn't realized he lost his grip, 'i can feel myself a bit more, now. If I am going to win I would need to go all out with this vampire speed or whatever.'

The mutant dog attacked again flinging it's paw at Eri again. This time Eri was prepared and shot up into the air like an arrow going incredible feet up.

He landed on the shoulder of the mutant dog using the opportunity to thrust his knife deep into it's second eyes on the left.

"RAYAAAACCCCKKK!!!!!"

The mutant dog screamed jumping all around to try and throw Eri off but he took measures to roll his legs around it's neck tightly.

'I won't let go... I will kill you.'

The mutant dog surely surpassed him in strength, speed and so much more, thanks to this position he could actually win...

"Aye?" Eri's heart palpitated as the dog opened up it's jaws and caught his other hand down from his shoulder in-between it's large fangs. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The dog chewed hard on his arm causing him to scream repeatedly but Eri wouldn't give up, not after getting this close to winning.

Forcing himself to go further he pushed his knife deeper into the Mutant dog's eyes sending blood gushing out even more.

"ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!" The dog shrieked louder than even Eri racing down the street for who knew why. Until a minute more than Eri learned it's plan as the mutant dog smashed him into the walls of the buildings as it ran.

It was trying to scrape him off and it was working fast.

Eri cried as he felt the entire skin of his hind tear open, blood pouring out from his exposed flesh as the cemented bricks crashed into him.

His conciousness dissuaded a bit and he knew death was close, 'Even if I die now I..... I..... I..... I..... I... Fucking kill you!!!!!!'

With one last energetic outburst Eri drove his knife so deep that his entire elbow went into the skull of the dog.

This brought one final shriek from the dog before it finally slowed down and crashed to it's side dead.

Eri on the otherhand stayed frozen in place pinned with so much pain that made him cry like a child.

'Man it hurts so much, my eaten arm in the jaws of the dog, my decapitated back and the hot blood in it's skull... At least I won.'
