(Recap: Nia gets her memory back of the day she got her own studio)

Roy

Roy your coffee just the way you like it, extra milk with 2 teaspoon sugar. I look at her as I see she this look saying that she just remembered something. Thank you Nia how did you know this is how I like my coffee when I didn’t even tell you I ask her. Honestly Roy I have no idea it’s as if my hands had a mind of its own like I have done this before so many time even I am surprised she says to me. Nia you have been making coffee for me since you were 13 when I used to visit you may be a part of your memory is coming thought in a form of your actions? I think so Roy can we talk now please these flashbacks I starting to annoy me I mean I get a memory but I can’t make any sense of when it was or who these people are.

Nia I am going to start with the memory about me proposing to you to be my girlfriend. On your 16th birthday in the morning after I wished you I told you that I had a surprise present that I will give you later that night. That was the day you got your dance studio( I hear Nia gasping) I remember that she says. Inside the studio were all our friends. Sam , my big brother James, Alice, Ashley and Stanley. After the party was over I took you to our secrete waterfall place.

16th birthday night

I took Nia to our secret place. When we were kids we found this cave by the beach which had an underground passage that lead to my backyard. Whenever we needed to talk or just enjoy the view we used to come here. I asked uncle David for his permission to date Nia which he agreed to and I planned to tell her on her birthday. I came here last night to make sure this place was set up perfectly. I set up a foldable table on the grass overlooking our waterfall with a bunch of red roses in a vase also I sprinkled different coloured rose petals making a pathway to the table.

I cooked her favourite meal with moms help and placed it in a picnic basket that I kept in the car boot. Once we arrived I lead Nia to our table, helped her take a seat and served her lunch. Nia there is something I want to tell you. Yes Roy you can tell me anything. Nia since as long as I can remember there hasn’t been a time that we stopped taking to each other even when we had our disagreements our friendship never broke. I know what I am about to say you might find it weird at first but just remember that no matter what I say we will always be friends. Just as the sun rises you have brought light and joy into my life, just as the moon shines brightly at night you bring hope of a better new day. Knowing you since we were mere toddlers your kindness, your warming touch, your fearlessness and you protectiveness has always kept me grounded. Our long night walks and our invented dance steps have brought us closer over the years to a point that I can no longer imagine a life without you but now I refuse to live a life without you by my side. Nia you are special and you do not need me to tell you that every day , but I can show it to you because you deserve the best of everything and I can give you that if you let me, please let me be the man in your life who makes you feel like the princess that you are every day. Nia brown would you like be my girlfriend? Yes Nia says with tears in her eyes, she gets up and runs to hug me. I love you too Roy I just can’t believe it took you this long she says to me as we laugh.

Present

I stand up and walk over to Nia with a glass of water. Roy I remember that wonderful night but what I do not understand is how I lost my memory what happened? Nia you told me that you remember when I asked you to marry me after that we booked a destination wedding in the Bahamas all our friends were with us in the church as we said our vows. Yes Nia you heard me right you are officially Mrs Nia Charles. After the wedding, the after party was moved to Miami. Your parents were going to go back home while we were in transit waiting for the flight but that is when the tragedy happened. Your parents were in a car accident, a drunk driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed into your parents car.

After take-off some sort of technical engine problem occurred, we were close to the Bermuda triangle the Captain had to try to do an emergency landing on the water but with the plane being tossed around in a whirlpool . We both fell into the water and you hit your head on a rock while you were under.

The rescue service that found us rushed you to the closest hospital where Dr Smith was treating you. He told me that you lost your memory and you have gone back in time to our first accident when you were 7 on the plane to Disneyland. I am so sorry Nia because I never tried to meet you sooner doctor Smith said that I should meet you after one month, if we tried to force the memory back you might have lost them forever. We did not want to take that chance which is why we waited but when I saw you today coming out of the studio I could not hold myself back I had to come check on you to see if you might have remembered me. I always had tabs on you just because I wasn’t allowed to see you did not mean I can’t make sure you were safe.
