Chapter 3 - Another World ?

'What is an AI assistant?' Lucas asked.

"I heard it the first time. Could you tell it in simple words?" Lucas interrupted.

[[An AI assistant is like a smart computer program that can understand and help you with tasks and provide information using advanced technology]]

'What is a computer program, and could you explain it in simple words, please?'

[[A computer program is like a recipe that tells a computer exactly what to do]]

'What is a computer?'

[[A computer is a machine that can do lots of different things, like storing information, solving problems, and playing games. It works with programs and can help people with their work and entertainment]]

[[Would the master like to see a computer?]]

'Yes,' Lucas said.

Suddenly, an image of a computer appeared before Lucas, startling him. He tried to touch it but was unable to, as it appeared over his hand, and whatever he saw was behind the image.

'Why can't I touch it?'

[[This is an image formed by intercepting signals sent from the eyes to the brain and drawn over the frames present in those signals.]]

Lucas did not understand what was said but did not ask anything, as it would lead to a loop of asking more and more questions.

[[The current knowledge of the master regarding computers appears to be low. Requesting the master's permission to scan and analyze their memory to determine the current knowledge level.]]

'Will it hurt?' Lucas asked.

[[The process will not hurt.]]

'What do I have to do?' Lucas asked.

[[The master doesn't have to do anything. However, sleeping will speed up the process.]]

'Maybe this is a blessing from the goddess or just a dream,' Lucas thought.

'Yes, you can start,' Lucas said.

[[Starting memory scan.]]

0.00% showed in front of Lucas' eyes, and he went back to sleep.

In the early morning, Lucas woke up and took a bath. He got ready for hunting by equipping himself with a short iron dagger and a wooden bow. His sister was still sleeping as he went outside and saw his father already prepared for hunting. Lucas's mother gave him a wooden lunchbox containing his breakfast. He took it and joined his father.

"Are you ready for hunting, Lucas?" his father asked.

"Yes, father," Lucas replied.

They went to the forest and followed their familiar routine. Lucas set up traps for rabbits, and then they went to their father's safe spot in the forest. They had a simple breakfast of jerky. Afterward, they went boar hunting. It was Lucas's turn to track a boar, which he successfully did. His father injured the boar with his bow and then taught Lucas how to kill it with his dagger and extract its materials. They later ate some rabbit stew, which his dad made using a rabbit caught in the traps. In the evening, they returned home with boar meat.

Back home, Lucas's sister was removing clothes from the drying area, while his mother was drying some meat to make jerky. His father placed the boar meat on the ground and went to meet his friends. Lucas went to his room feeling tired and quickly fell asleep. Suddenly, he heard a beep in his head, and he woke up. His AI assistant greeted him.

[[Good evening, master. The analysis of your memories has been completed.]]

"So, what is the result?" Lucas asked.

[[According to the analysis, you have no common knowledge about the world. Additionally, the continent and countries you know do not match with any available ones in the database.]]

"What does that mean?"

[[Based on the analysis, it seems that the world you are in and the world I have data on may not be the same.]]

"How can you say that?"

[[Along with the names of continents and countries not matching, the names of the months also do not correspond to any data in the database. The concept of magic does not exist in the world I have data on. Due to the limited knowledge you have about this world, it is difficult to draw any more conclusions at the moment.]]

"Does that mean you cannot help me with anything?"

[[I can still assist you, but to fully utilize my abilities, I suggest you learn and gain knowledge from the information in the database.]]

"This is the best course of action. First, I have to learn how to use this ability and gain knowledge about the world it's talking about," Lucas thought.

[[I also advise you to keep the existence of the AI assistant hidden, as it may or may not pose a danger to your life.]]

"Okay, so how do I start learning?"

[[I have already developed a plan, from learning the language to understanding artificial intelligence. But before that, I request your permission to have all-time access to your memories.]]

"How will that help me in learning?"

[[By allowing me all-time access to your memories, I can organize them more efficiently for searching and analyzing. It will also provide you with a photographic memory, meaning you won't forget anything.]]

"Amazing! So when will I start learning?" Lucas asked enthusiastically.

[[To keep my existence hidden, I advise you to learn during sleep.]]

"How will I learn while sleeping?"

[[If you allow me, I can control what you see in your dreams and provide you with everything you need to learn.]]

"Okay, do it," Lucas said.

"Lucas, Lucas!" he heard his sister calling. "It's dinner time."

"What? So quick, it's dinner time already," Lucas thought.

"Coming!" Lucas shouted to his sister and then went for dinner.
