It was just a normal morning but it was unknown to many that the apocalypse already started. The origin was not determined but the infected started to appear after a cosmic event happened just outside of the Earth’s atmosphere. The people and animals turned into man-eating mutants and zombies while some of the lucky ones gained superhuman abilities. Every living creature that had not "turned" started to evolve as the whole world was affected by the Mutagen. However, it seemed that Earth also had its hidden side that humans would discover in a very uncanny way. And was Mutagen the last of it? Unfortunately, not. Follow Mark, an Otaku, a Gamer, and a Shut-in that got trapped in the middle of the apocalypse due to an uncanny reason. Using his unconventional thinking, knowledge, and abilities, how far can he go in surviving the apocalypse filled with zombies, mutated beings, and dangerous people as a survivor in a world that was changing for the worse.

Taking A Break, A Peacful Day at the Mountain Base

Day 39 – 9:32 AM – Mountain Base, Mount Malabito, General Nakar, Quezon

Mark stretched his back as he went out of the crevice chambers with Amihan and Miracle.

It was already quite late in the morning and he had just woken up. He stayed up late last night doing something and caused him to oversleep. The atmosphere in the base and the current mindset of people around helped him a lot to recover the lack of sleep in the past days he was not here.

He looked around. It was strange that no one came to greet him. That was when he saw what seemed to be everyone in the base gathered at the northeast part of the base. It was the most vacant part of the base since most of the current shacks and houses built was more concentrated at the center and the south area of the base.

Mark stealthily approached and no one even noticed him, not even Huey. All of them were concentrated on what was happening in front of them.
