chapter 15 ~lace in control

Ace pov

I sit they're waiting for him to wake up. It's been what I think has been hours since I snuck into a secret cave that he thinks no one knows about. It's actually pretty nice in here. I start to see light coming from the door meaning it's already morning. I start to see Raven stir awake.

He wakes up and jumps out of the bed once he sees me startled. I just look at him with a disappointed look. He slowly calms down enough to look at me. How did you get in here he asked. Will you see my dear friend I have known about this cave ever sent you found it and made it into a cabin. But I'm here is about is why you ran away from my sister. I tell him with an even more disappointed look than I had before.

I didn't want to run away but do you know how hard it is standing there waiting for her to accept you because you can't touch her because your wolf won't let you. And then for your wolf to take control and run away. He tells me. Do you remember what I told you about how my parents treated me and my siblings. I asked him. Raven just nods his head.

Do you ever think that maybe she didn't accept you right away because she was remembering what our parents just to tell her that she would never be good enough for a mate. Or maybe her knowing that she's a true Alpha had gotten to her as she realized it might put you in danger. I asked him looking very disappointed at him.

He just says they're stunned at what I'm trying to tell him. I didn't think about it that way and neither did Jay. He says. Maybe you should have given her a chance or even a few more minutes. Since you didn't stay you didn't know that when you ran out she started crying and left to her room. Hope told me that she was flipping crying all night long. I told him.

Raven looks stunned at what I was telling him. With that I got up and left not turning back to see what my best friend was going to say. I hope he works things out with Alex.

Alex pov

I get up and get a shower I can't let a boy pull me down. I wash my hair with my strawberry and cream scented shampoo and conditioner. Once I'm done I get out and go to my suitcase and find the perfect outfit for the meeting that me and Ace is going to have today. I chose a top that kind of look like it bandana and some black shorts. I then put my hair up in a princess bun. I did my makeup with a simple natural look. Then I wore my black combat boots.



I headed out of my room to find Hope waiting by my door. Don't you think you're taking this protector or guardian thing a little too seriously? I ask her she just shrugs. I didn't come to protect you I came to be a sister and ask if you were all right. Hope says. With that we link arms and head down to the kitchen to get some breakfast.

There's all types of breakfast food but I wasn't in the mood for any of that so I just had some bananas and peanut butter. Once I was done eating I headed to the office to call Isaac to see if everything's going all right at the pack. The phone ring a few times before my big brother answered the phone. Hey Isaac so you would never guess what so the alpha I was supposed to meet is Ace. I tell him.

Ace as in our brother? He asks. Yeah Isaac it is. I tell him. Well I just called to let you know and to get the details of how the pack is doing. I tell him. The pack's doing great everything's going better the wolf mine has completely left my system and you got a message from the wolf council. They wanted to know if our would hold the annual Summer Ball. Isaac tells me.

Me and Isaac talks about it a little bit more. After a little while we hang up and I hear a knock on the office door. Come in I say. Ace walks in with a big smile on his face. Now now I was just walking by my office to hear some few interesting details. He tells me. So you telling me that you were eavesdropping you really shouldn't do that with another Alpha. I tell him and we just laugh.

So I hear Isaac was on Wolf's mind and it was our dad's fault. Ace says. Yep that was the truth. I tell him we sit there for a few minutes talking when we hear another knock. Ace tell them they can come in and then I stopped dead in my tracks. There stood my mate.

I start to battling lace for control it's like she wants to take control. She's furious and somewhat out of control. I soon lose the fight.

Lace pov

I stare at him with anger how could he just do that to me and Alex. I start to fight for control trying to take over Alex's body. I finally succeed and I just stare at him with anger. I see him visually gulp. I stalk towards him angry and hurt. I let out a growl making Ace and the beta fall to their knees in submission.

I was too angry to care that Ace was on the floor and submission and not just the beta. Even though he was my brother I didn't care at the moment all I cared about was my mate the beta. I grab him by his collar and pull him out of the office. I drag him all the way down the hall to a spare empty room. I drop him on the ground is still bowing in submission.

Stay here I will be back to deal with you! I use my Alpha voice on him. I then stomped out of the room and close the door behind me and go to the office to relieve Ace from the painful floor. Once I see my big brother I calm down. You can get up now Ace I am sorry. I tell him only to find that Ace isn't the one in control.

Long time no see little wolf. He says. Hello Xavier. I greet my big brother. Even though me and Xavier were in our humans bodies before Ace left that hard pack. The moon goddess chose us to be in the humans but we've always been a close set of siblings even in the heavens above with the moon goddess.

I give him a hug and he returns it I've been tell him I have to go and head back to the room I left the beta sitting on the floor. I open the door to find him still on the floor with his head down. I am a little bit more calmer now but I'm still angry. Stand up I yell. He does as he's told but his head is still down. I walk over to him and lift his head up. I look into his beautiful eyes and calm down.

A little bit calmer I asked why did you run? He doesn't answer me which starts to get on my nerves I try to calm down a little bit more. I then lay my forehead against his and I can see what he was thinking and how he was feeling including his wolf Jay. Knowing what I do now I calmed down and give Alex back control.

Alex pov

I stare into his eyes as he just stands there. I take a deep breath and say the words that I've been wanting to say a long time well not that long ever since I want fell asleep last night. I Alex Roseanne Alpha of black wolf pack and soon to be goddess of the moon except Raven rain as my mate. I say.

His eyes immediately light up with joy and relief. But before he could come any closer I slap him. Just because I accepted you does not mean I forgive you. We will be leaving in a week pack your bags say your goodbyes. I tell him. With that I turn around and walk out of the room and out of the pack house.

I shift into my wolf and run until I reach a clearing with a glistening lake. I shift back still in my clothes. I sit by the lake thinking about what just happened in the last two days. Not that long ago I was the outcast the Omega of black wolf pack. But now I'm the alpha and the soon to be moon goddess. And I found my mate.

I just wonder what else is in store for me.
