chapter 14 ~Mate-Raven

Raven pov

Ace had asked me to go get refreshments and some things for the meeting with the new Alpha of a neighboring pack. I had done to the kitchen to get some tea with some brownies because who doesn't love brownies. I also grab some Cheez-Its for myself I also grabbed some pop more specifically root beer. And then head to the beta's office to get the paperwork that is needed for the new treaty.

Once I'm in the beta's office I grab the paperwork when something catches my eye. It's a photo frame of my ex-girlfriend the one that cheated on me with the warrior. Ever since that day I haven't trusted anybody but Ace and the high-ranking members. In my free time I like to fix cars. Then I watch the races.

Once I'm done grabbing any thing that is needed I head back to the conference room. As I get to the door I smell the most amazing scent of apple and cinnamon like apple pie my favorite. My wolf is going crazy in my head. I come my wolf down before I head in and lock eyes with the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

MATE! MATE! MATE! MATE! Jay keeps yelling in my head to the point I keep getting a headache. This beautiful woman here looks a lot like Ace but younger and in woman form. From the looks of it she's a high-ranking member. Just as I'm about to reach for her I hear a growl and see the girl standing next to her in a fighting stance. I back away slowly so I don't show any disrespect to this high ranking member.

I then hear growl coming from the beautiful goddess. That girl was strong enough to make me submit I fell on my knees with my head down. Jay was whimpering in my head also submitting. That just answers my question she's an alpha only an alpha can make a beta summit to them. But then I look up and see that Ace is also submitting and so is the Luna.

The only people that aren't submitting is the girl next to her and the guy holding the girl. Which is surprising because I was a very powerful girl and by the looks of it only one of them is a high-ranking member and that's the girl. Get up all of you I didn't mean to grow I'm sorry. The girl says. Ace in the Luna gets up but I stay down. For some reason Jay will not let me get up.

Why won't you let me get up Jay. I asked my wolf. Our mate is a true Alpha and we are not allowed to stand up in their presents until they accept us as they're equal. Or they command it. Jay my wolf says. I just stand there stunned it's very rare for a true Alpha to exist there hasn't been one for over a thousand years.

The girl seems to be talking to her wolf because she seems to be out of it. When she's finally out of it she looks at me. I said you could stand up. She said in her Alpha voice so I obey. My name is Alex Roseanne Alpha of black wolf pack. She says in a kind voice. But I still can't move from my spot to touch her or anything. Because Jay won't let me because she hasn't accepted me yet.

I am known as Raven rain the beta of redstone pack. I say waiting for a response. I see her look at Ace and I can't help but feel sad that she has accepted me yet. Dear brother is this your beta. She asks Ace the alpha. Which is strange because I only know of my Alpha having one sister named Alex Monroe.

Raven I would like you to meet my sister Alex and my other little sister named Hope and her make Chris the head warrior of black wolf pack. I look at them stunned so they really are the alpha's family. What catches me off guard is that my best friend never told me he had two sisters he only told me he had one named Alex not one named Hope.

You're probably wondering why I ever told you about hope. Well the truth be told I didn't know about her she was only born 4 years ago and I know she doesn't look for years old she's actually 17 because she is the protector of the true Alpha which is my sister Alex and as you know you the book warm yourself you know the prophecy. Ace looks at me and says.

She is right I read a lot of books and the almost every single prophecy I have even read about the true Alphas so I do know about the prophecy of the protector they grow very fast after finding the one they are supposed to guard. Which leads them with a very strong connection.

I am still stuck in place waiting patiently for Alex to say something. I look at Alex seeing her looking at me unsure. Im starting to worry that she won't accept me. Never once since I was cheated on my previous girlfriend if I cared what a girl thinks besides my Luna. I don't know this feeling very well.

All I want to do is go and feel her skin by holding her hand or kissing her but I'm stuck in place waiting for her decision. It's like a black hole has sucked me up and I can't seem to escape. Her being an alpha means I will have to leave my pack too. I look over to Ace and she's his sister. Look like me dating my best friend's sister giving we are mates.

That is if she accepts me. Jay is starting to whimper in my head for the long wait. He finally takes control of my body and runs outside and shifts. He howls and whines and whimpers running to the secret spot we found not that long ago.

We get to the cave that we had secretly built into a small cabin. He shifts back and opens the secret entrance. He finally gives me control back and I go and lay down on the bed. I slowly drift off to sleep with that mysterious alpha's face in my mind.

Alex pov

I just stood there stunned as I watched him run out the door. My mind is still trying to process this. I had just found my mate and he just ran for me before I could even say anything. He probably thinks I'm idiotic or I was going to reject him. I was going to do the exact opposite. I've been waiting for my mate for a very long time. Only if I knew where he was.

All I could do was think about what he was thinking. Lace kept hauling and pain in my mind. She's been in love with the idea of meeting her mate ever since we turned of age. I turn around say goodbye to my brother and head to the guest room. Hope falls behind me and Chris behind her. I reached the room and find it's a beautiful color theme of tan and cream. I sit on the bed and hope comes and sits by me.

Are you okay? Hope asks. I shake my head no as tears start to stain my face. She hugs me and tells me to let all the tears out I sit there and cry for about an hour. After a few hours hope goes into hers and Chris's room and I get changed into my pajamas. As I drift off to sleep I wonder what would have happened if mine and my mates a counter was different.

Ace pov

It was horrible watching my sister and my best friend finding out they were mates and then watching Raven run out of the door away from his mate. I wanted to kill him for hurting my little sister but he was my best friend so I also have to see where he's coming from. As I walk out of my office I had to the one place I think he would be. A head down to the beach where there's a cave. Raven doesn't know I know about it but as Alpha it's important to know everything. He made the cave after his girlfriend Lacey cheated on him and broke his heart.

I find a secret door to the cave and walk in and find him in bed asleep I grab a chair and put it by the bed waiting for him to wake up. When he gets up I'm going to give him a Stern talking to that way he did to my sister. But I'm also going to find out what he was thinking. Maybe it was all just a misunderstanding. I sit there waiting patiently for him to wake up.
