Chapter 27.

Yulan dressed up, immediately Yang Mi left the room. They were going to asked a friend how to deal with the situation.

Yang Mi told her that her friend was good at his job and would help her find both Li Lian and her father. Which was like hitting a two birds with one stone. This would help her sleep well at night, Because most of the nights, she would stay awake and cry.

What if she does not find Li Lian? How will she be able to live without him?

Depressing the idea, Yulan took the black coat on the bed that belong to Yang Mi and wore it.

She looked at the mirror in front of her. Many things have changed over. At home, Yulan always wore sleeveless shirts. Also , they exposed her small waist and flat Tommy.

But, it's was different here. Ah Lam told her last night that, she had to dress well for the society and cold. Not dressing proper might lead to a rape case, which she did not want.

So many rules in the human world. Looking at the mirror once more, Yulan went downstairs to meet up with Yang Mi, who was pacing around.

"What happened?" Yulan wondered as she saw her moving around helplessly.

"I was just thinking about the whole situation with you" Yang Mi took the room keys that laid on the center table.

"I see" Yulan said, pitifully and moved to where she was.

"What if you never find this man? What will you do?" She asked.

"You mean my father?"

"Not him. We will surely find the man whose photo we have" Yang Mi said, placing a hand on her forehead. She never had a female friend. Having Yulan around was very strange. Not only that , she hated lover birds "Your fiancée"

"Oh… I don't know dear. But I believe we find him" Yulan answered, closing her eyes tight. The thought of never finding Li Lian was much more painful than missing him for years. 'Where are you , my love?'

Yang Mi shook her head and opened the door. Yulan followed suit. When they were out on the streets, she noticed that all eyes were on the new girl. Indeed, she was the most beautiful girl in the neighborhood.

"As a good friend, I wanted to advice you" Yang Mi stopped and faced her. "Men are liars. They will say I love you to you today and tell the next woman same, tomorrow. There are many Li Lian in this city. Perhaps, yours might not be in here. But if you don't find him, do not panic. Start a new life afresh with us. You are a very beautiful creature."

Yulan tried to smile but it did not help. She knew that Li Lian was different from other men. He might have tried to reach her all these years but her mother must have stopped him. She was the barrier between her and him.

"I hope I find him , Yang Mi."

"I hope so too. You look like a corpse already" Yang Mi walked down the street to the next. "His house is not far. It's on  the third Street."

In less than ten minutes they were on the third Street. Usually, she used a bicycle to there but Yulan was new to the area, Yang Mi decided to show her around.

They were still walking when a black car passed and slashed dirty mud on them. Yang Mi screamed. She was mad.

"Are you blind?" She yelled as the car stopped. The window whined down. The owner of the car was a woman.

Yulan could not see her face properly but she knew that the woman was wealthy. The way Yang Mi stopped when she saw the woman made it obvious.

But who was she ? Why did she do such a thing to her fellow gender??

Yang Mi went closer as she saw that it's was Chu Hua. The woman did this purposely.

"Hi , Yang Mi" Chu Hua greeted, when she went to her. "You are looking beautiful now."

Yang Mi knew she looked horrible with the mud on her face. "Why did you do this? You should have thought about my friend, she is innocent ."

"I don't care about her, Yang Mi" She answered, with a laugh. "Who is she? Nobody right?"

"Does it matter?" Yang Mi hissed and went to meet Yulan who was waiting patiently. "I am so sorry that the fool of a woman did this to you , on your first day out."

"Don't worry. I will clean myself when I get to your friend's house" Yulan told her. The mud stuck to her black coat making it obvious "But who is she?"

"The devilish wife of the young master. I just wish he would divorce her. Old hag" she cursed as they stopped at a gate and knock.

"She is your sister in law , don't forget , Yang Mi. The mud must have been a mistake."

She stopped and looked at her "stop supporting that witch. Chu Hua is evil."

Yulan kept quiet. Who was she to argue? They just met and did not even see each other's faces.

The gate was opened by a young girl. She was in her early Twenties. Her smile was unique.

"Hello Yang Mi" The girl greeted and when she saw Yulan, her eyes widened. "is she my brother's girlfriend?"

Yang Mi rolled her eyes and walked in to the compound. There were muds on their body but Fu Shanxiang was too blind to see that. "She is my sister and not your lonely brother's wife. By the way, Where is  he ?"

Disappointed, Fu Shanxiang answered "he is in his study room."

Yulan followed Yang Mi behind as they made their way in to the house. They lived alone, brother and sister.
