Author's Note: Sorry for not uploading in a while. I've recently obtained a pesky little thing called "a life" and it's really interfering with my upload schedule. I'm joking I'll try to be more consistent with the uploads. Enjoy!

"You've invited a friend? Who?" Said Wukong with a raised eyebrow.

Just as he asked this, a knock on the window was heard as Claire walked towards it, opening it quickly. After a few seconds, a man jumped in impressively as he landed on the ground and stared at the boy.

"Greetings my friend." Said the man as he clasped his hands together and bowed slightly. He wore a sleek, form-fitting green, sleeveless bodysuit that covered his entire body, emphasising the man's muscular build with a golden sash wrapped around his waist.

He also had a high yellow collar that extended upwards, around his neck and a bandana covering half his face, concealing his identity. However, what was most eye-catching was on the chest of the bodysuit, there is a stylized dragon emblem.

Wukong's mind instantly recognised this individual as the legendary Iron Fist. A man who is known for his martial prowess, even rivalling the best of the best in the Marvel universe. Not to mention his devastating fist which was powered by the dragon he fashioned on his chest, Shou-Lao the Undying.

Wukong said nothing as the man and Claire walked toward the unconscious girl. Claire removed the bandages and other dressings off Lorna revealing a blooding scene of the penetrated wound that stretched till the eye could see. The man laid down and closed his eyes. He went silent as his breaths started to become more controlled and rhythmic. In the next second, the man's fist started to glow yellow as he held his fist up in the air.

Slowly, he opened his palm with his yellow-glowing hand and placed it on Lorna's injury with unwavering concentration. Lorna's once disturbed and agitated face started to become calmer as she felt the warm touch of the Iron Fist. After a few minutes, the glow subsided as the man removed his hand from Lorna.

As he did this one could see the wound did not look the same as before. Instead of an impaling injury, there was nothing. Normal white skin with no sign of damage.

Wukong looked at the now disappeared wound and raised his eyebrows. He poked at the skin as he inspected it closely.

"Are you sure it's healed? Even the insides?" He asked as he placed his fingers on his chin.

"Yes. She is as good as new." Said the man as he smiled.

"Then why isn't she waking up?"

"Well, she lost a lot of blood. I think she just needs a little rest." Answered Claire, finally relieved.

Wukong inspected Lorna for a few more seconds before looking back at the man.

"Thanks. I owe you one." Said Wukong with a large grin as he shook the hand of the man.

"No worries, my friend. I appreciate your gratitude but it's all about protecting those who need it." Replied the man as he made his way to the window. Wukong stayed behind as he carried on inspecting Lorna sceptically.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice, Danny." Said Claire as she whispered.

"No thanks needed. I'm always happy to help when you need it. However, you should keep an eye out for that boy. His aura is peculiar with a blend of light and darkness, a delicate balance that can tip in either direction."

"It is a reminder that within all of us exists the potential for both good and evil. It is our choices and the influences we surround ourselves with that shape our path. I wonder what his choices shall be. Be careful." He said one last time before leaping out of the window, leaving Claire to stare at the boy as he poked at Lorna's now-healed abdomen, wondering what his true nature was.

However, before she could think any further, she heard loud grumbling noises that made the ground tremble a little. Wukong stood unmoving as he held his stomach.

"You wouldn't happen to have any food would you?" He said with a chuckle, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Iron Fist walked through a dark alleyway as he abruptly came to a stop. He was met with men who were heavily geared, pointing their weapons at him as silence enveloped the area. Without saying anything, as if the men were given an order, they lowered their weapons and pulled a communication device from one of their many pockets, chucking it at Iron Fist.

"Danny Rand. What business do you have with Illian Hale?" Said a familiar voice through the walkie-talkie.

"Greetings, Director Fury. I know nothing of this Illian Hale. I was merely helping a friend. It is unclear to me who this child is or what he has done to catch the eye of Shield, however, I must ask you to hold off on your attack. A friend of mine currently houses the boy and his friend temporarily. I do not trust that no harm will come to her while you're in pursuit of the young boy."

"When he leaves, you may act however you like. But while he is here, he is under my protection. Please respect my wishes. If not, I too will not stand by idly." Said Iron Fist as his voice suddenly turned dark.

A few seconds passed as the static of the walkie-talkie echoed through the alleyway.

"All units pull back." Said the Director as Iron Fist smiled, handing back the device.

On the other side, Agent Coulson stood beside Fury as he started to speak.

"Are you sure that was a good idea, Director? The fact that he was with civilians and allies in a small space was the only reason we were going for this ambush. There are less chances of him expanding that staff."

"Although this may have been our best chance of capturing him, it's not worth angering the Iron Fist. If we do, it's not just him we will be going to war with, but the mystical city that rallies behind him."

Coulson nodded his head in understanding as he kept silent. Although this was a good reason not to advance, it didn't mean Fury was pleased with it. He gritted his teeth at the thought that this was their last chance at capturing the slippery kid.

Claire walked around her apartment as she tried her best to gather all the trash and rubbish that surrounded the boy who slept in a seated position with his arms and legs in peculiar positions. He snored loudly with a wide mouth that had the crust of a pizza sticking out of it.

They had decided to order pizza, however, due to Wukong's insatiable hunger, she had to repeatedly order new ones so that he may be satisfied. It ended up costing her quite a bit of money and as she stared at the empty boxes on the floor, her heart twisted upon knowing she only had one slice.

As the pizza crust that had been lodged inside Wukong's cheek had fallen out due to the excessive snoring, it startled him as he opened his eyes.

"What time is it?" He asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"It's only 10 in the morning. You wanna help me out with these boxes since you're the one who ate most of them."

"No thank you." He said, taking the question literally, still rubbing his eyes as he went to check on Lorna. Claire let out a sigh after a few seconds and stared at the boy.

"Hey, I've been meaning to ask, who are you? And how did you know my name and where I lived?" She asked as she placed down the multiple pizza boxes. This question made Wukong fully awake as he tried to think of an excuse.

"Well, my name is Illian Hale. This is Lorna Dale. We're mutants who used to attend Xaviers School for gifted youngsters until we left…due to certain circumstances." He said with a nervous chuckle.

"And I knew about you since you're really popular. All the important vigilantes know about you. You're the Night Nurse." He said with open arms.

"The Night Nurse?" She said with a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

"Yeah, you're the person to go to if you're an injured vigilante."

"Are you serious? That's my reputation? Oh, why?" She said as she stood up and held her head.

"What's wrong?" Asked Wukong, with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't want to be the Night Nurse. I already have problems with the regular vigilantes I get visits from, now I have to worry about more?" She said as she started to panic.

"What's the big problem?"

"The problem? The problem is that I could start being targeted by maniacs who know I aid their enemies. The problem is I could lose my medical license and probably go to prison if word got out about some of the people I help."

Wukong stared into her eyes as she stared back, and as if he could speak with his eyes, she started to break and reveal the real reason.

"The problem is… it conflicts with my own morals. Am I really doing the right thing? As a professional, do I tarnish my prestige as a nurse by cauterizing a wound that may cause more damage or sewing an injury with dirty strings that I know will cause an infection in the future? Whose side do I stand on?" She said as she leaned on the kitchen counter.

"Well, you saved the life of my friend. You saved the life of every person who has come to you for help. All the people they help and they save, it's all because you burned their wounds so they could move without bleeding or it was because you gave them the extra push. I think every person who's left this apartment in better shape when they came in will agree with me on this, You're the best Nurse a vigilante could ask for." He said as she chuckled slightly.

"As for which side you're on, let me introduce you to the way I go about life. You do whatever the hell you want."

As he said this, she smiled slightly in relief. As if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. However, she was given no time to relax as they both heard movement coming from the couch. They were met with Lorna trying her best to sit up.

"Hey, Lorna! You're awake!" Yelled Wukong in joy as he laughed.

"How are you feeling?" Asked Claire as she kneeled beside the girl.

"I'm fine. Just feeling a little exhausted. Sorry, who are you?" She asked in confusion, not knowing who she was or where they were.

"This is Claire Temple. She's a nurse and she helped with your injury." Clarified Wukong. Lorna gave a nod of understanding as she drank a glass of water.

"What happened? The last thing I remember is that guy blowing himself up and the pain of getting impaled with the metal pike." Claire was slightly shocked at the girl's words. It made her wonder who these kids were and what they had gotten themselves into.

"I'll tell you later. Can you get up?" He asked.

"I think so. Although, I feel pretty depleted."

"Well, that's no good." As he said this, he walked beside her and knelt over.

"Get on." He said with his back turned to her.

"You're leaving? You guys can stay longer if you like." She said. She was always alone and it was nice to have some company. She also felt quite comfortable around Wukong, although she only knew him for a couple of hours.

"Well, I'd love to, but Shield agents have been eyeing us ever since last night. For some reason, they won't make a move and I'm starting to feel uneasy about it. Besides, you've done enough for us, I wouldn't want your apartment to be trashed by these guys if they choose to bust in." He said with a smile, although after she looked around, her apartment already looked like a mess after he had made himself at home.

Lorna mounted his back as she wrapped her arms and legs around him.

"Shield? What do Shield want from you?" She asked confused, wondering if what Danny said was somewhat true.

Ignoring her question, Wukong continued. "Thanks a lot for your help. I'll be sure to repay you in the future." As he said this he bolted to the window and jumped out as Lorna started screaming.

Claire ran to the window and looked out, only to be met with the pair sitting atop a white cloud. Her jaw dropped and her eyes widened as the cloud came to eye level with her.

"This is for the pizza." He said as he tossed her a wallet.

"Thanks again. Until next time, Night Nurse." He said with a grin as they finally zoomed off.

Claire looked into the wallet he had given her, only for her to lose her breath and fall to the floor as she widened her eyes at the money she now possessed.

Wukong flew through the air as he recalled how he had swiped two wallets from the warehouse. The one that belonged to the soldier and the other that belonged to Clairvoyant. He tossed her the wallet that belonged to the soldier, which had a small amount of money in it and kept the other for himself, drooling at all the food that money could buy him.

As he was daydreaming, he felt the wallet and it felt a little thin. He looked inside only to be met with the soldier's ID card and information. His hands trembled and his eyes went hollow with tears streaming down it.

"The wrong one…I gave her the wrong one." He said as he dropped the wallet.

It was then that two voices echoed through the sky.

"MY FOOD!"

"Shut up, you idiot! What are you yelling about?!"
