Since you’re my bestie, I’ll teach you the ways!

I can see that she was so mad and hysterical that she is laughing that creepy laugh of hers again and I felt a chill run down my spine. I need to calm her down or I will be next!  

          "Girl chill out! I didn't mean it like that! I was just so enthralled at how you handled that bimbo! You look so cool! I can't do any of that, that's why I asked how you did it? I wish I can do them too like teleportation and stuff!" I hurriedly explained and added some flattering as well! I'm not experienced nor powerful enough to oppose her, so better do some bootlicking to survive!

          After saying all those, her black mist had instantly disappeared and her creepy laugh turned into a light silvery laugh like how a sweet, innocent and pure girl should be. "Oh is that what it is?! Why didn't you say so earlier! I can do that! Since you're my bestie, of course, I'll teach you the ways of being a ghost and the perks that come along with it!" She said happily.  

          She is a handful, earlier she was aiming for my throat and now she is all gushy and giggly. And what did she say? I'm her 'bestie' now?! Since when!? I may be a lonely ghost but I'm not that lonely to stick with a crazy one! But I don't have the balls to correct her either!

          "Once we get off the train and settled in, in our hotel I will teach you the basic ones first and when you get the gist of it I will teach you the easy ones, then moderate, hard and the expert levels!" She confidently said. I was shocked to know that there are levels of being a ghost?! Well, I guess there will be levels as well, being that there are a lot of movies and series about ghosts so there might be such a thing.

          "Sure! Can't wait for you to teach me, Master!" Even though I'm afraid of her I can't deny that I'm excited to learn new skills! I may not compare them to RPG games but still to level up my power and learn new skills will help me get stronger and might be able to help me communicate with my mom. I missed my family so much, but I still can't face them with the grieving period and all. It might trigger my mom and she might faint again. I can't see her being like that again, ever!

          I might be able to get more clues on how I died once I have enough power and if it's an accident then I might be able to move on, emphasis on the word 'might'. But if it was intentional… Well, I'll go poltergeist on whoever did it and will not let them off till the day they confess or die! I'm not some super kind type of person to just forgive and forget, I'm the type to get even. Even if it's petty stuff, I need to get back at them to settle scores! That's just how I am.

          After 1 hour and 20 minutes, we finally reached Kyoto! It's amazing how they have a direct route from KIX to Kyoto! While I was riding the train and looked around while I left Mayu to ogle at her Hiro, I looked around the train and found out that there are also the local trains or regular seats and they have the Green cars or the 1st class seats.

          Back at home, the only trains that I rode are the M*T and L*T and they don't have 1st class seats there since it doesn't travel to the provinces, unlike in Japan. And the ones that go to far places kept getting broken down and I never had the pleasure of riding them let alone explore the passenger cars. So I don't have any idea what our local trains look like.

          Mayu was so excited that she had pulled me so that we can reach our hotel faster. We rode a bus and stopped at a traditional looking house. "This is the place we will be staying in! This is what they call a Ryokan Inn. If you want to experience a traditional Japanese style stay you can book a room in a ryokan inn. They have tatami-matted rooms and they have a communal bath, where we share a bathroom with other guests, but of course, it's not a mixed bath. They have a separate bathroom for male and female guests. We're lucky because Hiro had booked a room at this inn and one of their selling points is that they also have an open-air bath!" She squealed. As if I will be able to enjoy the open-air bath? I'm a ghost I can't take a bath!

          We followed Hiro inside the inn and an old man greeted us upon entering. He has this friendly smile and seems approachable. "Welcome to Kōfuku Inn. Hope you enjoy your stay with us!" The old man bowed while he welcomes us. Hiro ignored the old man and just walked forward towards the reception area. 'Well, that was rude of him ignoring an old man!' I thought, not daring to voice my thoughts or Mayu might go berserker on me again.

          "Thank you for welcoming us! That will be 2 of us staying with the guy that just entered!" Mayu told the old man. I was shocked that the old man looked at us and smiled again! He heard what Mayu said?!

          "Oh, please follow me towards your room, right this way please!" He leads the way for us and followed him towards the hallways and then turned left towards the stairs. We reached a door with numbers 264 written on it. "After you." He said politely to us. Mayu just went through the door and I followed after her.

          I see a small room with a tatami-matted floor but no sliding door like I was expecting. Maybe because it was only for a single person, so it's like a small room with a coffee table near the window. There's a thermos, magazines, remote controls neatly placed on the small table and small pillows underneath it. There's a small fridge on the corner and a small TV on top of it and a trash can at the side. When you look up there is AC in the room and a square light, right now it's turned off.

          There is also a small box near the table that has towels and a yukata neatly folded and a prepacked toothbrush with a small toothpaste inside. On the left, there is a sliding door and I bet that its the storage for the futon and pillows for sleeping later. Then I heard the door clicked and opened. I turned around and saw Hiro entered followed by a young lady wearing a yukata.  

          The lady turned on the lights and showed him around the room and opened up the curtains and the windows are the paper sliding type window that I usually see on TV. She advised that dinner starts from 6 PM- 7 PM and breakfast is served at 7 AM - 8 AM. She asked if he will eat inside the guest room or if he will eat at the communal dining area. Hiro said that he will eat at the dining area and smiled at the lady. The lady blushed a little, gave him a shy smile and bowed at him then left the room.  

          I felt that chilling vibe from Mayu again when I saw the lady blushed and smiled at Hiro. "Ahem. If you like the room that will be 10 sprit chips per night and since there are 2 of you, that will be 20 spirit chips and that also includes the meals. Will you be paying by cash or credit?" The old man asked. Wait… Did he say chips?! AND cash or credit!? Are the chips he is saying is like casino chips where you can exchange it for money to buy stuff, that kind of chips?!? Where the hell will I get that kind of thing?!
