MISLED

"You don't want to do this." He warned again as he sat down relaxed on the sofa. "Bruce, warn them." "See, you don't want to bet on this game because you will only lose, My boss is the best, second to none." Bruce warned just as his boss told him to. "I'm not backing down." Val was determined. "Okay." The strange man who is Bruce's boss said as he sat upright while he got into position for the game. They started the game. To me, random pawns was been moved but to them it meant something. In less than five minutes, the son of a monkey who was Bruce's boss relaxed once again with a smirk on his face. Val's face was down cast with sweat dripping off her forehead; she had the look of someone who wished to be anywhere but in this same room. From the dramatic display I have seen from both sides, the atmosphere, one of my worst fears came into reality. He won! He. Freaking. Chapter 13: I shouldn't cry

The grasses and such that were covering the path made me surprised. It was just yesterday, heck! It wasn't even up to 24 hours when I last saw this trail. I found my way in without further ado, the cab driver was waiting for me back in the cab.

While carefully stepping in, I mistakenly used my hand to hit a vine or a grass, I don't know which one. I don't understand what happened but something suddenly hit my head and I fall flat on my front side. To add to it, I fell into a pit that was covered with grass. Well, an incomplete pit. I know it's incomplete because my head hits some metal which I suspect to be the working tools of whoever was digging the pit, plus it was shallow.

I heard hushed but hurried footsteps walk toward me. Could it be that the people digging this pit saw me and went into hiding and now seeing how I've fallen into their trap they are back to get me?
