The beach

ALEC

At 6 pm, I went to the beach owned by Sofie's dad. It was one

of my fondest memories with Sof. We had spent our whole childhood here. Even

the thought of it made me smile. As I walked in, my jaw dropped in awe. There

was a blanket fort that was dimly lit on the inside. It had 2 copies of The

Alchemist on a cozy little table with 2 mugs of hot cocoa. There was another

fort that had a TV with Home alone playing on it. Another one had Sofie's

gaming consoles ready with a Mario Kart CD on the side. Chicken tikka was being

made on a grill along with some naan. The place was decorated in fairy lights

and One Direction was playing in the background. Coral colored seashells were

scattered on the sand. Everything was so perfect. They were all of my favourite

things all in one place. Suddenly Sofie came out pinching her ears. "I'm so

sorry." She said with a sulky face. I couldn't be mad at her anymore. Not after

she did all this. I went and gave her a tight hug. "It's fine as long as you've

learnt your lesson." I said still hugging her. "I have, I swear." She replied.

I gave her a bright smile and let go from the hug. "Good girl." "Do you like

all this?" She asked. "Like it? I absolutely love it Sof, this is amazing." I

said staring at all of the things she had arranged for me. She let out a sigh

of relief. "Thank God. I wouldn't know what to do if this hadn't coaxed you."

Sofie said. "You know I can't be mad at you for long right?" I asked. "Yep but

still. I messed up big time this time around." I got bitter at the thought of

what she did but pushed it away. "You did but I still forgive you cause I'm

such a great, kind and merciful man." I boasted with my head held high. "Yeah,

right." Sofie laughed. "What do you want to do first?" She asked. "Eat of

course." I replied with a grin. "Of course." She chuckled and went to go grab

us food. She came with a heaping plate of chicken tikka for me with 3 pieces of

naan and a human portion of food for her. "I will never understand how you eat

that little and survive." I said as I grabbed the plate from her hand. "Well

not everyone is a glutton you know" She answered. "Shut up. Oh look the sun is

setting." I said as I pointed out the beautiful sunset.
