An attempt

  I watched as Alec left without hearing me

out. I really messed up this time. I was just trying to protect him. To think

he got hurt because of something that has to do with me was killing me. If I

had just told Northel off properly this wouldn't have happened. Now he's mad at

me and the principal thinks I'm a spoiled brat. Not that I care about what he

thinks but it's out there. It was lunch time so I called my friends and headed

out of the school to get Chipotle. One thing about being a senior, they give

less than two craps about what you do. We gave our orders and sat down. I was thinking

about what I was going to do about Alec when Carrie interrupted my thoughts

with a snap. "Sof? You good hun? You seem out of it." She said concerned. Carrie

is the only best friend I have other than Alec. We've been best friends ever

since High-school started. "Yeah, I'm good. Just had a fight with Alec so I'm

out of it a little." I replied. "Alec? What'd that kiddo do this time?" Carrie asked.

"It wasn't him it was me." I sighed. "No way it was you, could never be. You

don't make mistakes, it's either a coincidence or you're right. Periodt." I

smiled at this. I love how supportive she is. "Thank you but this time it

really is me. I got Northen Hales kicked out because he pushed Alec down and

Alec got a concussion." I cringed as I remembered what I did. I really did

overreact. Alec is right for being mad at me. "First of all, slay he deserved

it. Second, so he's mad cause you overreacted again and acted like he's 5?" Right

on spot. "Yep. Ugh I don't know what to do." I grunted and put my head down on

the table. "Woah chill beach. Don't let this stress you out too much." Carrie said.

"You don't ge- WAIT CARRIE YOU'RE A GENIUS. THE BEACH. OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU

THANK YOU SO MUCH." I hugged her and got up to leave. "Where are you going?" Carrie

asked. "To make things right." Saying that, I left. My dad owns a beautiful

private beach that has one of the best views in all of Florida. Ever since we

were little, that beach has always been me and Alec's favourite place to

hangout. As we grew older tho, we stopped going there as much. Now we only go

there if we need time away from home cause one of us is upset. A day there will

surely make it up to him. I went back to school and left a note on his locker

door. It read "6 pm; Meet me at the sea shore ~ Sofie" This was our code to

call the other person to the beach. We randomly made it up one day when I was

crying over a break up. We've used it ever since. After leaving the note, I was

out of school. I had a half day anyway. I went to prepare everything before 6

pm. It needs to be perfect.
