Chapter 13: Ashina of yours

     My heartache and my head hurt but the was nothing I can do. Not when Alpha Rex seats close to me in the back seat. He didn't say anything, he didn't even talk about what I just said to try to acknowledge me.

    Nothing at all and that hurt more.

     It's odd and yet I didn't know how to react. Not when Ashina is jumping crazy inside me and I can't stop shivering and crying. I can't touch him, I want to hug him, I want him to put his hands around me and tell me he wants me.

    I want to hold his hand all through the ride and get excited that I am going to be a luna. I want to be happy as I want to be in love with my mate and he too would love me that he will be too excited for me to be his mate that he will promise not to hurt me or make me feel bad instead of him to leave me crying.

   'In our dreams' Ashina whispered.

  That's her! The new annoying shit making me want to kick the car window open and jump out. Luckily for me, I might get run over by another speeding car or get kidnapped by an evil person, that would kill me immediately.

    I just want to die now! Dying in my mate's hands would do me no good.

    Folded on the chair like a baby prisoner, I imagine feeling his warm hands around me and feeling him place kisses all over my face. I want to feel like I am actually appreciated for once in my pathetic life and not still remember Axon's cold face.

    His cold face.

    No smile, no emotions, he didn't even show of he was angry or something.

   With the way Axon, look I can say he had planned this for a long. He might have wanted me out for long and has done it for real this time.

     Slowly I raised my hand to stare at my mate's face. He didn't spare me a glance, not even a side glance and I wonder if he is not planning to get rid of me already.

     I have asked him on tome but he refused to answer me. He just stared at me and looked away as of he didn't hear me speak. Frankly, I would say I saw something that looks like fear in his eyes when I said it.

     "When will you reject me?"

  My voice popped again into my head as I imagine the guts that had rested upon me when I asked that.

     'You don't mean it' Ashina said 'Do you?'.

   Of course, I don't! How would she imagine waiting for your mate to rescue you all these years and now I am finally 22 and have a mate as ruthless as the devil.

    How would she imagine I won't want to be free and at the same time scared of pissing the moon goddess?

     Closing my eyes tightly I muttered.

      'I just want to die'.

   I felt it, that small movement coming from my mate's direction but I don't mind. Not as if he cares a hoot about me. Not as if he isn't having it in mind to just do away with me amd go on being his ruthless Alpha Rex.

    Mox?

Yeah! He asked me to call him Mox instead of Rex, what the heck does that mean?

     I don't care how excited Ashina feels about that name but that should mean I have to close my eyes and maybe get to meet my parents on the other side.

     Closing my eyes while I try to remember any good thing about them, all that kept coming to my head was the necklace I was found with. The same necklace I lost in the woods while running away from that bloody wolf.

     Shit!

  Why did I think about that? Now what I can see is the face of the wolf, bleeding with pitch red eyes.

    Tossing, whining, shivering, and groaning, that face still refuse to go. It looks as if the wolf knows me like it's connected to me somehow.

     "Rain!" It said my name.

   In my head tho, it said my name, and the voice sounded familiar. It seems like hope and yet scary.

    "Rain!" It said louder "Get down".

  What? Asking me to get down?

  I tried to move back but I could not, not when my feet felt glued to the ground and I can feel one of its paws on my thighs.

    I piercing scream escaped my throat and that's it, just a foolish dream but this time this paw was replaced by a real palm. My mate's palm.

    I screamed again, shaking like a wet leaf I curled away from him. The speed made me bump my head into the glass window behind me and I wonder why it did not break because my head hurts. Everything went black for a few seconds followed by blurry stars before getting back to normal.

     "Rain?" Alpha Rex called "Are you alright?".

   This is too good to be real! Not Alpha Rex acting all caring with a deep frown on his face as he clenched his fist not to touch me again.

     "Get up!" He snapped.

   For real?

   'That's rude!' Ashina growled 'We are going nowhere.

    For the first time in history, Ashina eventually thought about something meaningful. She thought about the right thing and wasn't shameless as always. I like this, if this is the new Ashina, we will definitely become besties.

     With a fearless frown on my face, I rolled my eyes. Wow! I can't remember when I have done that without fear.

      "Rain? Get Ashina to get you out!" Alpha Rex half yelled, "I know you are not in your right senses".

    Yea he is, I am not in my right senses and so is Ashina. For once we are doing this together glaring at him like we can beat him up.

      I want to tell him that I will not follow him. That I am mad at him and I don't trust him here where everywhere smells like a human.

    So this is the human city?

  What is he doing here with the door open, standing in front of a big gate and staring at....oh, he is staring at Hawk walking toward him.

      "The human journalist just left" Hawk grim "She is into you, Rex, why not leave her for me to handle?".

      Rex rolled his eyes and walked away from the door. I heard their footsteps fade, fade til it stopped but I didn't fall to continue listening.

     "The last time you help me take care of something, you ended us bashing a human head against the tree" Alpha Rex chuckled.

    I can't believe that's real! So he can laugh, and...

     "Nooooo!".

   A piercing escaped my throat as I felt the door I was resting on being yanked open. Before I could rest after hitting my butt hard on the ground, I felt being yanked and thrown over someone's shoulders.

    My stomach hit his hard shoulders as my face slapped his back. Holding his clothes to restrain myself from still slamming my hurting face on his hardback.

     "You will definitely not live past a weak if you keep acting like this" Alpha Rex growled as he placed his palm on my butt "Tell that to your hard head Ashina of yours".

     Ashina of mine? What the heck!!

   Does that mean he knows that Ashina is my wolf or he can read my mind?
