Chapter 13 Killing Aiden

Here's an additional bonus chapter for you all, simply because I'm overjoyed! I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. And remember, while you're reading, don't hesitate to share your thoughts – they're as valuable as power stones! P.S. It's said that by investing your power stones into this story, your luck will soar to celestial heights, much like the blessings of Indra himself.

..........

In reality, Indra's body had changed

significantly. Others might not notice, but he knew it well. He had perfectly fused with the Extremis virus. Thanks to his absolute luck, he didn't need to worry about the side effects.

"You, you..." Aiden stammered, retreating several steps as he watched Indra shatter the reinforced glass with a single punch. This glass was designed to withstand missiles—how did Indra break it so easily?

Aiden was dumbfounded, staring at Indra. He realized that Indra wasn't the same as before. He seemed stronger, but with the many subjects he had experimented on daily, Aiden couldn't be certain of the exact change.

"Someone, get in here!" Aiden shouted, backing away further while keeping his eyes on Indra. Within moments, seven or eight heavily armed guards burst into the room. Pointing at Indra, Aiden commanded, "Kill him! And be careful, he can break through the glass with a punch."

The guards didn't hesitate. They raised their machine guns and unleashed a hail of bullets at Indra. The gunfire was relentless, with bullets flying in every direction, enveloping Indra in a cloud of smoke and dust.

The guards, accustomed to such violent acts, looked on with cold indifference. As the smoke slowly settled, they lowered their guns, smirking and making mocking remarks.

"I thought he was tough. What a joke."

"Yeah, breaking glass with a punch? I'm so scared. Hahaha."

"I could shatter a dozen of those glass panels!"

Their laughter echoed through the air. Just as they were about to leave, a streak of fire snaked out from the smoke, wrapping around one of the guards. In an instant, the guard was reduced to ashes.

The remaining guards froze in their tracks and turned back. Emerging from the smoke was Indra, his body engulfed in flames. His eyes blazed with fury, exuding an aura of death, like a demon from hell.

Seeing Indra wreathed in flames, Aiden face lit up with manic joy. "It worked! It worked! I succeeded!" He started dancing in delight.

The guards, still uncertain about what Ayn meant by "success," stared at Indra in fear. Their earlier bravado vanished. Gripped by terror, they raised their guns for another round of shooting.

To their shock, the bullets disintegrated as they neared Indra, consumed by the intense heat.

"What... what is this...?"

"I don't know. Maybe we should run."

The guards, realizing their bullets were useless, instinctively turned to flee. But they didn't get far. Flames surged towards them, engulfing them and reducing them to ashes in seconds.

The temperature in the lab rose sharply, flames licking at every surface. Indra, with minimal effort, had eliminated the guards.

Resolved.

Aiden looked at Indra, his face filled with excitement, and he kept saying, "I finally succeeded, I finally succeeded…" He looked like someone suffering from severe mental illness. It wasn't until Indra stood in front of him that Aiden began to realize the danger.

"What are you going to do? What do you want?" Aiden's initially excited expression turned to panic when he saw Indra. He shook his head and continued, "I made you so powerful, you can't kill me."

Indra extinguished the flames on his body and looked at Aiden with a smile. "I made myself powerful," he said. If it weren't for having a hundred percent luck guarantee, Indra's fate would have been the same as the woman in the bank, or the man begging for mercy—blown to pieces. Just the thought of it made Indra's body burn hotter, his blood almost boiling.

At that moment, Aiden picked up a syringe from somewhere, intending to inject Indra. But before he could reach him, he was knocked down by a machine gun on the ground. The syringe rolled aside. Indra looked at Aiden, furrowing his brow. In such a dangerous situation, the fact that Aiden was willing to risk his life to inject him must mean it was the antidote to the virus.

Indra chuckled and immediately grabbed Aiden by the neck. "Why didn't you think of this outcome before injecting me with the virus?" he asked. Aiden struggled to breathe, his limbs flailing as he pleaded with broken words, "Please… spare me… I beg you…" Fear was written all over his face.

"Spare you?" Indra furrowed his brow. He glanced at the helpless people cowering in the small laboratory and smiled. "Didn't you enjoy watching others burn and explode?" With that, he tossed Aiden aside, watching as flames engulfed him.

"No, please, please…" Aiden continued to plead as he struggled in agony.

"Good! Burn well!" Suddenly, a voice rang out in the silent space. Cheers mixed with the sound of tapping glass filled Indra's ears. "Hero! Superhero!" "Thank goodness, this villain is finally dead." "Please, please, save us."

As Indra watched Aiden burn to ashes, the excited people in the lab erupted into tears of joy, as if he were their savior.

"Please, save us." "Please, take us out."

Indra furrowed his brow, pressed the main switch, and released all the imprisoned people. In fact, Indra wasn't sure if that switch was the main one. But, well, he was lucky. Life was mostly about luck, and he seemed to have luck on his side. Once they were released, they ran desperately towards the exit.

Indra sighed and walked out of the laboratory. As he stepped outside, he realized that it was just an old factory. They had converted the underground into a laboratory, probably to conceal their activities.

"What a sinful place," Indra said softly. He ignited a flame in his hand and threw it towards the factory. In an instant, the entire building was engulfed in flames. Indra watched the burning factory for a moment before turning away and leaving the place.
