After readjusting his jumbled up memory Leo formulated a plan, he was a shield agent, and he wasn't too happy with his situation, because as we all know, hydra is basically hiding in shield. But from what the system says the missions that he will be getting from shield can help him further develop his bloodline, and not mentioning the equipment they have
As he came out of his average looking apartment rocking a pure jet-black shirt, with balck jeans and a black jacket and also a black glove and to top it off, black shades "I feel special today~" he hummed with no care in the world, and as if he wasn't on his way to one of if not the strongest organization on the earth, if we count hydra.
Mounting his new jet-black YZF-R1 mortocycle his predecessor/himself got after being discharged from duty, "let's ride" Leo smirked as he started the engine and rode off.
---------------------
[Destination Boston]
------------------
"This is quite fun..." muttered Leo as he rode through the roads of old Trafford and towards Boston, just so he could enjoy his time, he took longer roads effectively making himself late.
As I arrived at a gas station that was quite a few miles away from the road I parked my motorcycle and got off, taking off my shades I looked around before stomping my legs three times.
And out of a door a man clad in a tactical , full body dark body suit with straps for carrying gear, came out with a gun in hand.
"ID?" He asked making me take an ID from my jacket pocket, handing him the ID he took out a scanner of some sort scanning the ID, he nods and hands me back my ID.
"Clear, your ride will be taken care of" he assured as I entered the door he came from, as I stepped on the circle on the floor, the floor began descending.
"After we get down, you go to the right before taking a left, there you will meet the other recruits, and you are late" the man now next to me explained.
"Thank you" I replied as the floor stopped decending and I walked off.
Getting to my destination, I spotted a little row of people all sitting and listening to a man whom was on a little podium.
Taking my seat I prepared to start listening to the man, but as I sat down he began getting off the podium and walking... towards me?"
"recruit 6 Leonardo Acker, former SWAT commander, I have heard quite a lot about you" claimed the man with a smile, but I already realized that his smile was fake, a perk I picked up from serving as a soldier for a decade in my previous life, and that smile was basically asking 'why were you late'
" I had to take a quick detour, I apologize for my tardiness, sir" I replied as I stood up trying to be as respectful as possible.
"Hahah, you think a simple apology will suffice?" The man asked with his still fake smile, "you might have been a former swat commander but that was before, you are now a shield recruit, and you answer to me!" The man Exclaimed his smile fading away " if I let this go then other recruits like yourself will think being an agent is a joke, and end up leading themselves into their own deaths" the man finished as he turned his back.
"Meet me at the targeting range after this lesson is done" he commanded as he walked back to his previous spot, and continued his speech about being a shield agent and the risk missions can have.
'Damn, sounds like my former army captain' I internally chuckled, before sitting back on my seat.
-----------------
After the long speech, which was mainly about why as agents we should never let our guards down and blah blah blah, seriously I learned this stuff one week in my army days.
"You have arrived..." sounded the man that I found out was called agent James, an high level agent that is highly respected in this sector "Yes you called for me" I answered.
"Ah... yes, Leonardo Acker, quite a big name in the US, youngest swat officer to retire" he stated.
"Yes that's me... sir" I answered "oh you can just call me agent James" he said as he loaded a pistol with ammo.
"Can you guess why I called you here?" He asked as he finished loading the pistol.
"Uhm, because I was late, and you want to punish me?" I replied.
"Close enough, well since you thought taking a detour was more important than attending on time why don't I test your skills to make sure you are truly ready to be a shield agent and test the validation of being a swat commander" he stated with is usual fake smile.
"What do you say?" He asked, but as I was ready to reply a robotic voice sounded in my ear.
[Mission scenario triggered]
[Mission objective: You have been challenged by agent James to show your worth to shield, you were a military soldier in your past life and a swat commander in your current life, how can you use this to your advantage?]
[Reward: +2.6%BM]
'I was going to accept anyway but since I have been presented this chance...' My train of thought was cut off when the voice of agent James sounded " i dont have all day" he said making me nod "I will do it, it's your call" I replied.
"Good, hey Roy, come over here" called agent James as a man in black SHIELD attire walked towards us "sir!... you called" the man saluted.
"Yes, you are this sector's best gunslinger, I want you to have a quick session with our new recruit here" agent James said making me realize what he was doing.
"You don't mind right? Mr Acker" agent James asked with that same fake smile "I dont, I would like to see how I square up against a real agent" I replied, and it was quite true how can my decade of army duty and this life's SWAT experience of gun handling compare to a shield agent.
"Then begin" the objective was to hit as many targets as possible with the best possible accuracy.
As the timer began, I raised my pistol and shot three consecutive rounds, all hitting their targets at pinpoint accuracy, not even a second later I shot another six rounds, one completely missing and the other five hitting their targets perfectly 'it seems like I still have to improve my accuracy' I internally thought as I finished off with 2 more shots that hit their targets.
"That is enough for now, I expected no less from a swat commander and you smashed my expectations" praised agent James making me stop.
"Uhm, thank you I guess, I still have some places I have to improve though" I replied not satisfied with myself.
"Being too humble has its cons, and please come to my office tomorrow, I have something I want to discuss with you, oh and welcome to shield, agent Leo" he finished with a chuckle as he walked away.
"Oh and don't think your tardiness will go unpunished next time" his voice sounded in the distance.
"I guess he isn't as bad as I thought" even though his fake smile annoys me sometimes.
Looking at the pistols in my hands I sighed "I need more practice" I said before a green screen appeared infront of me with a ding.
[Mission completed: you have proved yourself to agent James that you are an excellent agent, and have smashed his expectations]
[Rewards: +2.1%BM] bonus :0.9%BM (Completed)*
Looking at the reward I grinned as I felt the power rushing through me "I could get addicted to this" I muttered as I picked up a new pistol and began to practice.
"excuse me" I heared making me stop and turn around "oh agent Roy?" I asked making the man nod his head.
"Yes that's my name, but you can just call me Roy, that's what everyone calls me here" he replied making me nod in understanding.
"Am sorry for interrupting your session, but I wanted to welcome you to shield, I wasn't able to do so earlier because I was too shocked my your gun handling skills, I couldn't even shoot because I was too busy marveling at your accuracy and speed" he explained in one breath.
"Oh is that so?, I appreciate your troubles" I answered as he outstretched his hand for an hand shake, I looked at it for second before shaking it 'you might be nice right now, but I know nobody in this sector is to be trusted' I internally thought, keeping my guard up nobody is to be trusted and until I meet Nick Fury, everybody in SHIELD is my enemy.
