While I let The Travelers do as they please, I went and began absorbing the ambient mana in the air, using it to increase my power and the number of monsters I could create. That and the ones I was planning to create would take a bit of planning to do accordingly, while I could just outright create them, I wanted to put them on earth as soon as possible, leaving a few well more evolved ones here in my plane to keep an eye on things and make any modifications to their behavior or overall body.
The first would be vampires, which I would make a separate species that had two ways of reproducing, either through turning a human or through sexual reproduction with another one of their kind or a human. Next would be the lycan species better known as werewolves, and they would be the same as vampires only more primal and beastly, and could turn humans into less pureblooded werewolves and have less control over their instincts, or reproduce with a lycan or human.
The final one for Earth for now would be the Wendigo, not the traditional one told in legends where they look mostly human minus a few things. No, I went with the more Hollywood one, where they had black skin, a deer skull for a head well kinda as it would just resemble one but not be a deer skull and more attached to their face. Although I guess mine would be the correct version now as I existed before Hollywood or the legends of the original Wendigos.
I made a lot of the fully evolved ones, the ones that I would leave here so that I could keep an eye on some of them in case the ones I sent to Earth didn't evolve into the monsters I wanted. Better to be safe than sorry, and it didn't take long or a lot of power to design them with my two helpers, who supplied a bit of their power to lessen the burden and helped with feedback as I showed them a few of the designs.
I think I had a dozen of each, six of which were the final design and the others would go to earth in relatively safe locations so they could smoothly go through the various eras until homo sapiens came around. Making a hole back into the universe, Earth this time I had noticed things were starting to change since the last time I saw and a lot of things had changed, apparently a lot more time passed than when I thought because instead of a full water planet, there were some landmasses, with whatever constituted for primordial plant life growing on it.
I gently placed the eighteen fish-like things into the ocean, with their predetermined evolution pathway, and behavior to boot with it. Better to include those types of things beforehand made things easier and gave me less to do, and I didn't need to be on hands-on with them as I could've been. It also afforded them some amount of free will, in which their species could evolve into another species in which case I had some backups ready, who were already making themselves at home.
I placed the fully evolved ones in safer areas, relatively far away from the territories of dragons and elementals. Giving them a chance to get their population up, and allowing me to keep an eye on them in case I needed to make any more to avoid...genetic instability. Something I hoped I didn't need to do on Earth as well, but I still had some power to make a few more in case of an emergency.
However, that didn't stop me from coming up with a few more designs for possible subspecies, which was mostly me putting various stages of my monster's evolution through different environments to see how they would turn out. A few of them were interesting and something to try later on down the line once the Earth was a bit more stable or as stable as it can get. It was a fun way to pass the time, something I might do more often with my other creations, and speaking of which I would probably let a few of the elementals go out into random parts of the universe, I was thinking of sending them to more developed plants to stir up some chaos.
Even with The Travelers doing their thing, whatever it was as I couldn't keep an eye on them twenty-four-seven, well I could if I made such a creature for it but that would be wasting energy when I could be doing so many other things. That and I was like Gaea in a way, she didn't favor one being over another, she may have loved her creations but she knew they either needed to change to survive or just wither and die. The natural order of things and while I had created various begins and they in turn created their own, I didn't stop them from killing each other for this same reason.
They needed to change, adapt to survive, or just die and let another take their place for that was life. Unlike Death, life was not equal to all, nor did it favor one being over another. For that was the essence of life, no matter what else you believe in, life is a constant struggle, a fight to survive even if the fight is easy. So I may keep an eye on things, I may make backups of beings or other begins similar to them, it was only to give their species the best chance to survive, to thrive, and carve out their legends.
If after all they still die out then it was what they deserved, it was the cold hard truth, unfortunately, and one that one day one of my creations will have to accept. In some small ways, though I hope it's not soon, I still have a soft spot for them, I created them or am their grand creator or grandfather if you want to get technical but I knew I had to make them understand this truth one day, well except for Tiamat and Bahamut but that was mostly to avoid a full-on dimensional war thing and keep things in balance, which Drasilaga helped greatly with during the time I was busy.
