Marvel: Starting from the Bottom

"Transmigration." Ah, such an interesting concept. Many dream about being reborn in a world filled with heroes and villains. But not me... Thrown into a world where Gods walk among mortals, I will do everything in my power to survive. Stealing, robbing, killing, manipulating? I will do them all. I will be the one to survive until the end. Heros, Villains, Eternals, Deviants, Gods, Demons... SCREW THEM ALL!!! This is my story and I will make sure that everyone gets that right! I am Marcellus, a mutant who started from the bottom. [Pat reon.com/Greedyfrog] [Disclaimer: Other than my MC and the OCs, I do not own anything used in this fanfiction.]

The Cthulhu knockoff, Hive.

Monoliths are some of the few things from this universe that I barely know about. I know that they are extremely dangerous and that the Kree monolith was used to exile Hive.

The other three together form the Di'Allas— a singular monolith that can send beings through time and space.

But it also includes the creation aspect… but how does that work? I was stepping into uncharted territory.

I had no knowledge of the monoliths other than the basic descriptions.

But I knew that the black one… the Kree Monolith was used to exile Hive and it was the only one that I am willing to use now.

I am not even going to touch the other three without gathering a bit of information about them.

Yet, I know that they are extremely powerful items.

Something to consider for a later time.

Even with my current powers, there are still beings and things that are either stronger than me or can fight me to a standstill.

One such being is Ghost Rider. Johnny doesn't exist… yet. But there are the past Spirits of Vengeance and they are nigh-indestructible. They can only be killed under special conditions which are quite difficult to achieve.

And there are countless others with similar abilities.

But now… I had to face a being that if not removed now— could cause a lot of chaos later.

But how does this work?

The black monolith or the Kree monolith was similar to me in size but that was it. It was a massive piece of black rock.

I placed my hand over it— trying to analyse the construct.

And to my surprise, it was a work of science that is impossible in this world.

It was… alive. Kinda.

This is bad…

Realising what it was capable of, I enclosed all of the monoliths in bulletproof and soundproof barriers.

These things are semi-sentient. They react when they are near living beings.

This was made apparent when the monolith started changing its shape as I enclosed it.

It was reacting… to me.

It turned into liquid, similar to a symbiote and started bashing on the barrier.

It was weak and was not capable of harming me, but it was dangerous. It was trying to engulf me… swallow me.

Was that how it worked?

But then how was I going to get out?

Hive was unable to escape it so there is only a way in and no way out.

That could be bad.

Or maybe not…

I placed my hand over the barrier as the monolith tried to consume me— unsuccessfully.

I analysed its entire structure. Every fabric, every bond, every atom of the monolith was implanted in a detailed blueprint inside my mind.

It was a wonder of science and technology.

But there was a way out…

Reverse engineering.

Reversing the entire blueprint was not going to be easy but I can now create a monolith similar to this. It was truly a miracle of science. But the powers of Sentry were far beyond that.

This guy took out literal gods— Loki, Ares. Ripped apart Carnage, nearly killed every single Avengers, broke free of Dr. Strange's simulated realities, copied Molecule Man… And the biggest feat of all.

Which sounds more like a joke.

Controlled Paul Jenkin's subconsciousness to rewrite Sentry's past and memories… effectively overpowering Void.

A character capable of breaking the fourth wall is a character of limitless power.

So, I decided to allow the monolith to swallow me.

I removed the barrier and let the monolith melt.

Soon the liquid surrounded me yet it didn't stick. It was analysing me… probably my powers concerning it. So, I sealed my powers— temporarily. And in an instant, the black goo covered me.

Everything turned dark in an instant but the moment I was covered by the black substance— I reactivated my powers.

I could see and feel myself falling through dimensions. It was a weird feeling— worse than basic teleportation.

I passed through multiple stars and spatial bodies and after what felt like a millennia— I was finally there.

Dark, barren and malicious.

Maveth, the deserted planet.

This was a planet that barely supported life force. Beings without superpower cannot live in this place and maybe that's the reason he was banished here.

To suffer in isolation.

"So, who did they send this time?"

A deep, menacing voice.

I knew exactly who it was, Hive. The Inhuman that every other Inhuman feared.

A massive tentacle spring towards me— trying to grab me but with my speed and senses, dodging it was child's play.

"Oh, an interesting one."

The voice boomed before another tentacle shot— which I dodged just as easily.

"Impressive."

The voice spoke and after a while, the ground began to shake. Multiple tentacles sprung out and I was ready to dodge, but this time— those tentacles combined instead of attacking.

The tentacles started wriggling around each other, combing and moulding— forming a new being.

After a few seconds, a being that looked like the offspring of Cthulhu stood before me— with curious eyes and a domineering presence.

Despite his creepy look, a chuckle escaped me as he reminded me of a certain alien warlord from Ben 10.

He walked before me and stared at me curiously.

"Speak, what's your name." He demanded.

I could have turned him into atoms with a single attack but I decided to play along.

"The name's Marcellus Hanley." I smiled. "A visitor."

"The last one was a long time ago…" He mumbled. "And that person reached here as a corpse."

He looked at me. "You might be the first one other than me that was unharmed by the teleportation. Any being without powers either loses their life or their mental stability once they pass through the monolith." His curiosity was increasing. "So, what is your ability?"

That's news to me. I didn't think the teleportation might harm someone, but logically… it makes sense. Humans are not built to withstand travels through time and space.

Another good choice on my side of not rushing here in the past.

"Those fools often send 'sacrifices' but why would I require them?" He questioned. "I would rather prefer a way out of this ghastly planet."

He isn't as mentally stable as many believe. But being stuck on a planet with no one but your own lonely self— you are bound to go insane.

But I am not here to give him company.

"Well… I wasn't sent here by anyone." I said, raising his curiosity even further. "Forgive me but I have removed all of your worshippers… they were quite annoying."

His cephalopodic eyes dilated— as realisation dawned upon him.

He shot multiple parasitic tentacles towards me— but none of them managed to hit me.

Hive is not a singularity, it was a collection of countless parasitic organisms merging together to form— well, Hive.

Hive has his own language— something that the Hydra soldiers are taught and which I learnt through scanning their minds.

That was one of the reasons he didn't suspect me till now.

"Who are you!" It roared and its body started expanding, losing its human shape.

It turned into a massive beast.

A cheap Cthulhu imitation.

"Loud." I sighed and shot a psionic ray towards it, cutting off two tentacles.

"You dare!"

As it kept attacking, I was analysing its anatomy and mind.

Its genetics were completely redesigned to work as a signal hub or a command centre. But its own powers were pretty pathetic.

He was like a queen ant that couldn't do much on her own so she used worker ants.

"You pest!" It growled and lunged towards me but this time, instead of dodging— I stopped it midtrack with telekinesis.

The reason for bantering with him was over. I had figured out the ability to control Inhumans as I can now adjust my biology to meet the requirements.

"I am Hive! The king of Inhumans! How dare a mere pest attack me!"

Its loud yappings didn't seem to end, which annoyed me to no end.

"Aight! That's it!"

That was the last thing Hive heard before being reduced to atoms.

And as I was unsure if its atoms had parasitic abilities, I had to erase the existence of those atoms using my reality warping as the laws of physics prevents atoms from being destroyed.

My reality-warping was pretty limited and the most I could stretch was up to a solar system— whereas my molecule manipulation could affect universes.

If Hive was a universal level entity, my reality-warping would have never worked on it. And another reason for not casually spamming it… is the worry of being caught.

There are cosmic level entities that are interested in quite a few beings of earth. And if my powers affect them somehow— It will draw their attention towards me.

Reality warping at the scale which I had was a double-edged sword. So I had to think twice before using it.

"This place is quite interesting."

I looked around the place as despite it being secluded— it was a decent place. It was away from the reach of humans and aliens and even the Kree had lost the way to Maveth.

The only way was through the monolith and it belonged to me.

A good location for a future base.

Giving the planet a last glance— I left it using the reverse monolith.

Yeah, that's what I named it.

Hive was only needed for his ability and yes I know about the Monoliths but not the MC. Adding para comments like 'Do this, Do that' won't make the MC follow those wishes.

Marvel Facts: (1) Marvel has a metal called Nanominium... that if used as a glossing over objects— gives the object magic resistance.

(2) The Darkhold is a book of Evil and Sins that contains cosmic level dark magic spells that was written by Chthon. It can be used by anyone but it costs the users his/her sanity.
